I own nothing but the plot...

"Caroline, love, the cab is here," Klaus said walking back into the gallery. It was taking an awful long time for Caroline to grab her purse. He finally found her staring at one of his drawings. His eyes widened when he saw which sketch had gotten her attention. "Oh."

"Oh?" Caroline said looking at him, "This is a sketch of me, obviously naked under the sheet, and all you have to say is, oh?"

"Yes?" Klaus said unsure what to say. How was he going to explain this?

"Why didn't you tell me you did a drawing of me?" Caroline asked, "Shouldn't you have given me a little warning that you were planning on selling a naked picture of me?"

"You are far from naked love," Klaus pointed out, "And truthfully I didn't know it was here. I have so many pieces up. I asked a mate of mine in England to arrange for pieces to be sent over. I really didn't pay attention to what he sent."

"Oh," Caroline said and looked back at the picture, "How much?"

"Excuse me?" Klaus said.

"How much?" Caroline repeated.

"You want to buy it?" Klaus said and Caroline nodded.

"I don't want any naked pictures of me floating around," Caroline said, "I mean partially naked. How much do you want for it? And remember to give me the "mother of your child discount" I don't have half a million dollars to spare." Klaus laughed.

"No," Klaus said, "Sending this one was a mistake, I quite like it. Somethings just aren't for sale, love." Klaus walked away leaving Caroline with her mouth hanging open.

K&C

"Genuine beauty, Genuine beauty? What does that even mean?" Caroline said to her mirror as she brushed her teeth. Ella was at Kol's which was probably a good thing because Caroline would have woken her up by having a conversation with herself. "Stupid accent, and stupid freaking dimples." Caroline spit the toothpaste into the sink and rinsed out her mouth. She put the toothbrush in its cup and looked in the mirror.

"Don't go there Caroline," She said to her reflection. "Don't go there." She sighed and went to her room and got into bed, but there was no way she was sleeping tonight.

K&C

"You didn't have to get her anything," Caroline said looking at the box Elijah had just given her. "You Mikaelsons are going to spoil her rotten."

"Well it is from Finn and I," Elijah said. "I thought she could wear it to lunch today."

"It's an Oxford sweatshirt, isn't it?" Caroline said remembering Klaus' warning.

"Yes," Elijah said, "I thought it would be a nice surprise for Niklaus." The two heard keys in the door and turned to see Kol opening the door once again without knocking.

"Hello, all," Kol said and Ella zoomed past him and into her mother's arms. Caroline hugged her daughter back and kissed her head. Ella looked at Elijah.

"Do you remember Elijah from last night?" Caroline said and Ella shook her head.

"She was asleep before we could be introduced," Elijah said, "It is lovely to meet you Ella."

"You talk funny too," Ella said and Elijah chuckled.

"I do," Elijah said, "Family trait, your father is my brother."

"Really?" Ella said grinning, "So you are my Uncle like Uncle Kol?"

"I am," Elijah said.

"I got...1...2...3..." Ella counted on her fingers, "3 Uncles now!"

"That's right," Caroline said kissing her cheeks, "And a whole bunch of Aunts, right?" Ella nodded.

"Since I am your Uncle, a lot of the time Uncles bring presents when they come visit, and I have something for you," Elijah said handing Ella the box.

"For me?" Ella said with bright eyes and huge grin.

"Yes," Elijah said and watched amused as Ella ripped open the paper and soon was holding the sweatshirt up.

"What is this?" Ella said tracing the Oxford lettering with her finger.

"It says Oxford," Elijah told her. "It is the name of school your father went to. Uncle Kol did as well before he dropped out." Kol made a face at his big brother. Ella didn't notice this and attempted to put the shirt on put somehow ended up trying to put her head in the sleeve. Caroline smiled and helped Ella put it on correctly. The dark blue material brought out the color in her eyes.

"I gonna wear it everyday!" Ella said excited.

"Oh not another one," Kol groaned.

"Where is that roommate of yours?" Elijah asked.

"Katherine?" Caroline said and Elijah nodded. Caroline's eyes went wide. Katherine! She had been so caught up in everything she had forgotten about one of her best friends!

"Staying with Stefan and Elena," Kol piped in, "One of Nik's snooty friends was hitting on her so Stefan and Elena took her back to their place before Katherine could do something dumb like go home with him."

"Oh good," Caroline said and her heart rate went down.

"Yes good," Elijah added softly.

"Caroline agreed," Klaus said into the phone, "I am going to get Ella this summer."

"That's wonderful, Niklaus," His mother said, "I can't wait to meet her."

"She is amazing mother. Smiles all the time, she lights up every room she comes into," Klaus said, "Not like me at all." Esther laughed.

"I doubt that," Esther said.

"I have to go," Klaus said looking at the time, "I need to go get Ella. Rebekah, Kol, Elijah, and I are having lunch with her. We want her to know more about our side of the family."

"Elijah is going to be there?" Esther said surprised.

"Yes mother, Elijah and I are playing nice," Klaus said cheekily.

"Do not take that tone with me young man," Esther scolded.

"Sorry," Klaus said not sounding sorry at all.

"Call me later and tell me how it went," Esther said.

"I will," Klaus promised.

"And Niklaus?" Esther said.

"Yes?" Klaus said.

"Thanks for calling," Esther said.

"Thanks for listening," Klaus said in reply and hung up.

"Daddy!" Ella said happily and ran at him. Klaus grinned and lifted her into the air and settled her on his hip. "Look at what Uncle Elijah got me!"

"I see," Klaus said looking amused at the dark blue sweatshirt and the pink dress obviously underneath it.

"She hasn't taken it off since Elijah gave it to her," Caroline told him.

"I find it funny that Ella can say Elijah, but not Klaus," Klaus said and Caroline shrugged. He focused his attention back to Ella, "Ready to go sweetheart?"

"Yep," Ella said and Klaus let her down to go say goodbye to Caroline. "Bye Mommy."

"Bye baby," Caroline said and watched as the two left. After they were gone Caroline looked at the empty apartment. Caroline was beyond happy that Ella had a Dad now. Klaus was great and really trying to be a father, but that meant that Caroline was alone for the first time in 4 years. Ella had been her life for five years, perhaps it was time for Caroline to get a life of her own. Caroline got her phone out of her pocket and dialed the familiar number.

"Hey, Kat?" Caroline said into the phone, "I think I might have Klaus stay with Ella tonight, do you want to do something?...Ouch! Katherine not so loud...yes I know it is about time..."

"Oxford, really?" Rebekah said to Elijah as they watched Ella, Klaus, and Kol walk into the restaurant. Elijah had gone back to make a few calls and had shared a cab with Rebekah. "Isn't she a little young to start your brainwashing?"

"I am not brainwashing," Elijah protested, "Just a little push."

"Right," Rebekah said her heart raced at the smile Ella gave her when she saw her. Ella automatically ran over and Rebekah caught her and held her tightly. Oh she really was the sweetest child ever. Ella leaned over and kissed Elijah's cheek.

"Do you like my shirt!" Ella asked excited.

"I do," Rebekah said happy that she was happy.

"Uncle Elijah got it for me," Ella told her.

"I know," Rebekah said and set her down. "Come let's eat."

"Can I get pop?" Ella asked once they were all seated. Ella was next to Klaus of course, and Rebekah forced her way onto Ella's other side.

"No," Klaus said firmly, "You can get juice or water."

"Or tea," Rebekah added and Klaus blinked at her, "On come on Nik, peppermint tea was your favorite growing up and we are English. We need to make sure she doesn't become a coffee fanatic like Caroline."

"So start early?" Kol said with a grin, but Rebekah ignored him.

"Would you like some tea, Ella?" Rebekah asked her niece.

"Do you like tea, Daddy?" Ella said looked at her father.

"I love it, drink some every day," Klaus answered.

"Okay, I want some," Ella said and Rebekah grinned triumphantly while Kol rolled his eyes. The waitress came to take their drink order. Of course they all ordered tea. Kol would have gone for booze, but it was too early for that. Earl Grey for Klaus, Kol, and Elijah, Camomile for Rebekah. Ella got the caffeine free peppermint tea.

"Here let me see if it is too hot," Klaus said taking a sip of Ella's peppermint tea before she had some. Elijah used to do that for him all the time. "It's cool enough." Klaus put the teacup in front of Ella and was surprised that when she drank it her pinky went up. She took a small sip while everyone waited.

"Yum!" Ella said and her family laughed.

"Good girl," Rebekah said proud.

"You're planning her coming out party aren't you?" Klaus said to his sister with narrowed eyes.

"Perhaps," Rebekah said taking a sip of her own tea, "She is a Mikaelson, and we still have Great-Great-Grandmother's tiara. Before I forget, I had Mum overnight some pictures." Rebekah grabbed and envelope out of her bag and handed it to Klaus. He opened it and took out the photos. They were from every family celebration. Birthdays, holidays, and so on. Klaus saw a picture of their estate and took it out. He handed it to Ella.

"This is where our family lives," Klaus said and Ella's eyes went wide.

"You live here?" Ella said fascinated.

"I grew up there, I live in London now, another part of England, but I come here a lot," Klaus explained, "When you come with me this summer we will stay here. Some other people are very anxious to meet you."

"Who?" Ella asked.

"Well my brother, your uncle," Klaus answered.

"Another one?" Ella interrupted and Klaus smiled.

"Yes, another one, his wife, and your grandmother," Klaus said.

"Grandma?" Ella said and Klaus nodded, "I never had one, Mommy said mine went to heaven before I was born. Do I have a grandpa too?" Klaus tensed. He couldn't help it, but he thanked god that Ella never got the chance to meet Mikael, and he also noticed that none of the pictures his mother sent had Mikael in them.

"No," Klaus said.

"Oh," Ella said looking at her tea.

"I promise if my father were here he would love you," Klaus said and Ella smiled.

"Show her more," Rebekah said and Klaus pulled out another picture.

"Well..." Klaus started and Kol rolled his eyes.

"Here we go..." Kol said and Elijah kicked him.

K&C

"I can't wear this," Caroline said looking in the mirror. "I look like a slut. The last time I wore something like this I got pregnant."

"Maybe I should wear it," Elena mumbled.

"Oh, tactless, I'm sorry," Caroline said.

"It's fine," Elena assured her, "I just really thought I was pregnant this time." Katherine put her arm about her sister.

"It will happen," Katherine said and kissed her twin's head. Caroline smiled. Everyone thought that Elena was the motherly type in their family, but it was totally Katherine.

"I know," Elena said looking at her hands, "I am not very patient I guess."

"Family trait," Katherine said and Elena laughed. Katherine looked back at Caroline, "As for the pregnant thing just use protection."

"Yeah because that went so well last time," Caroline said sarcastically.

"Or you could just stay celibate, and die old and alone having only slept with two men your whole life," Katherine said and Caroline glared.

"I'm not 22 anymore, I can't just jump into bed with guys," Caroline said with a sigh, "I skipped that partying, drinking, and fun because of Ella. I know you did too." It was true. The girls didn't really go sow their wild oats because they were helping Caroline raise Ella. She couldn't have done it without their support, and Caroline would not trade Ella for anything.

"No, you are not 22, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun," Katherine told her, "Besides you are 26, not 46."

"Almost 27," Caroline corrected.

"Not the point, stop acting like your life is over," Katherine said, "You are young, hot, and smart. Just because you had to grow up fast because you had Ella, doesn't mean you can't act like a kid sometimes. And it might get your mind of certain things...accented things..." Caroline glared at her friend. Before Caroline could comment they heard a key in the door. The girls walked out of Caroline's room to see Klaus coming in along with Ella and Kol.

"Speaking of accented things..." Elena said letting her sentence trail off.

"Hey Care...whoa," Kol started to say but was rendered speechless at the sight of Caroline in her tight fitting black dress.

"Well I think that means the dress is a hit," Elena commented, "Kol is at a loss for words."

"You look pretty Mommy," Ella said and Caroline smiled at her. She looked at Klaus who had yet to comment, but was staring at her with intense blue eyes.

"Klaus I was hoping you could do me a favor and watch Ella tonight," Caroline said, "Katherine and I are going out."

...

What did you think? Sorry for any mistakes. I am editing this after being out all night for Halloween...

Caroline is going out for a little fun, and Klaus is going to be staying with Ella, could any feelings come to the surface? Perhaps a little jealously? Just wait and see!

I was also wondering if I should take a chance and change the rating making this story my first M rated story. Let me know!
