Chapter 9;

Kagome was for once in her adult life scared of what could happen to her, this feeling was not something she missed nor welcomed. Inuyasha had moved his face closer to hers, so close that his lips where barely brushing over hers.

"Mate was bad, must punish." he growled to her, his lips making a trail from her face down to neck. Kagome could not help the moan that slipped out as he nipped at her sensitive spot. She started to struggle against him, trying to get away which earned her a deep growl and resulted in her being thrown to the floor on the stomach. She was about to crawl away until she felt a strike to her bottom which caused her to squeak out of surprise. For some unknown reason to her it felt good when he stroked her ass, had it been anybody else she would had killed them but Inuyasha was different. Was she scared, hell yes. But was she also getting aroused by the treatment he was giving her. Fuck yeah. Kagome was not sure why she was feeling this way or any way with Inuyasha and she was not so sure she liked it. She had been void of all emotion for years why do they surface with him and only him. Her thoughts where interrupted by Inuyasha growling at her again.

"So my bitch likes that?" he questioned in a low growl as her flipped her on her back shocking the woman slightly when snatched her towel from her upper body. Trying cover herself she crossed her arms over her chest, but Inuyasha seemed displeased with her. He roughly grabbed her arms and forced her to sit straight in front of him, she stopped struggling when pain shot through her stomach. A small whimper escaped her lips, which caught his attention. Inuyasha frowned at her, he was not going to hurt her. She was his to protect, he was only punishing her slightly. She tried to sit as still as possible.

'How could I be so stupid to forget I was shot literally yesterday,' Kagome thought leaning slightly to her left trying to lessen the pain on her right. Inuyasha taking notice of her strange behavior looked her over only for his eyes to stop on the reopening wound on the right side of her stomach. Growling he lifted her gently off the floor and cradled her close in his arms. She was slightly cautions of him but with the pain coming back every other minute she did not fight him anymore. Walking out of her bathroom and back over to her bed, he laid her down gently trying his best not to hurt her any more then she already was. His demon was so focused on her pain that he forgot all about punishing her,for now anyway. Kagome was staring at him while laying on her back, she was past confused at this point, she did not know much about demons but what she did know was that they were very protective of their mates.

'I guess this is his way of showing he cares?' she thought to herself, her thoughts were put to a halt when she felt something wet touch her stomach and she jumped. Looking down she saw Inuyasha slowly licking at her wound.

"What the hell are you doing?" she questioned trying to pushing him away but he just tighten his grip on her.

"Mate is hurt, must heal." he growled slightly at her, it was not an aggressive growl but more of a dominant growl. Kagome was stunned slightly, first he basically rapes her in her bathroom, not that she was complaining much and now he was trying to heal her wound. And the worse part of it was that she kind of liked it.

'What the hell is wrong with me?' she thought desperately trying to think of anything and everything besides the tongue that was trailing down her stomach. She wishes she could understand what was really going on and why she felt the way she did but she just did. not On the bright side she was starting to feel a lot better, the pain in her stomach was slowly disappearing with every small stroke of his tongue. Kagome could just feel the blush that creeped its way onto her face, sighing she closed her eyes.

'It's not like I can go anywhere right now.' she thought laying as still as possible as not to anger the now busy hanyo on her. Her body started to feel really light and warm, she could practically hear sleep calling her name. Just then she felt the weight on the bed shift and she felt his arms wrap her in her sheets. He then purred to her.

"Mate needs rest, sleep."

Kagome could hear the tenderness in his voice and she smiled. Not the fake one she's been doing for the past few years,but an actual smile. Snuggling close to the warmth she knew was Inuyasha she fell into a deep sleep, I hope this time it would last. As Kagomes breath evened out Inuyasha slowly became aware of his surroundings as his demon retreated to the darkest part of his mind. Once he fully gained his control back did he notice a warmth coming from his right side. Looking down he sighed out of relief, there next to him was a safe sleeping Kagome.

'Thank god she is safe.' he thought watching her sleep, her chest rising and falling in rhythm of her slow shallow breaths. He could not help but think of how nice it was to have someone laying by his side at night. Inuyasha had to admit that he missed those days when Kikiyo and him would lay awake at night just talking, but now that she was with Naraku there was nothing more to fix. Sighing he laid his head down on the pillow and closed his eyes.

"How did I get to this point?" he questioned softly. Kagome began to shuffle next to him mumbling in her sleep.

'Mmhh...I-inuyasha..." she kept mumbling until she found a comfortable spot and fell back into sleep. He could not help the smile that donned his lips as he looked over her calm sleeping face.

'She's kind of cute when she is not trying to kill me.' he thought chuckling to himself. He was more exhausted then he thought, he could feel his body relaxing into the comfortable bed under him and could not help but fall into a deep sleep himself. Shockingly his dream was not filled with the many people he killed but instead filled with Kagome and small children running around. Just as he fell asleep did an angry Sango come off the elevator with a worried Miroku behind her.

"Now Sango darling we should not disturbed them," he spoke trying his hardest to drag her back to the elevator.

"Like hell we should not wait until I get my hands on that dog I'll-," she stopped once she spotted both Kagome and Inuyasha asleep in her bed. To say she was shocked was an understatement, she had never seen Kagome look so peaceful while sleeping. Sango was both happy but confused of why her best friend was naked and sleeping next to a man she 'could not stand'. Sighing she rubbed her head, she could feel the throbbing pain that was a headache. Turing she walked back to the elevator with Miroku right on her trail. Once they were in and the door started closing, Miroku spoke.

"Told you darling he would not hurt her," he said with a smirk on his face. Sango was about to speak when she felt a familiar hand on her ass, and just as the doors closed they heard a loud smack. But none of that disturbed the sleeping couple, only Kami knew what would happen once they both awoke in the morning.

The sun rise was one of the most beautiful things in the winter as it made all the crisp white snow shines as if it were a diamond. Everyone was safe in side their homes away from the bitter cold that nipped outside. People trying their best to stay as warm as possible, one woman in particular was really warm. Kagome snuggled deeper into the warmth, she was unsure of what it was that was keeping her so warm but it was the best sleep she had had in years. Her whole body was calm and she was enjoying the warmth, well that was until it decided to move.

'Wait move?' Kagomes mind was slowly coming alive with questions of what the hell was laying next to her. At first she thought Sango had maybe thrown another blanket over her but blankets did not move and she did not have any pets, so that could only mean someone was laying besides her. But who? The body next to hers was far to big to be Sango, that is when flashbacks of yesterday come flying into her mind and her eyes flew open. And she was not happy with what she saw. Laying right in front of her was a very broad chest, looking up to the face attached to it was none other then Inuyasha. But this Inuyasha was asleep holding a calm faced as he dreamed on. Then the warning sign went off in her head. Why was he here and why the hell was she naked? Sitting up she turn to look for anything in range that she could use to beat the hell out the man next to her.

'How dare he sleep in MY bed after sexually harassing me in MY bathroom!' she thought, finally her eyes landed on a book she had on the night stand. A smile spread across her face, and from the looks of it this was not going to be good for Inuyasha. She lifted the book above her head and slammed it down hoping for it to come in contact with his head but a strong hand shot out and stopped it right before it hit him. Kagome struggled trying to get out of his grip,once she realized she was stuck she sent a glare towards him. Laying on his side was a groggy hanyo who was holding onto her arm.

"Trying to take me out in my sleep wench?" he questioned glaring back at her, then his eyes started to rome downward. Confused Kagome followed his eyes and saw that she was indeed naked, how she forgot so quick was beyond her. Blush stained her cheeks and the fire returned to her eyes, using his distraction to her advantage she kicked him right in the balls and off her bed.

"What the fuck wench!" he screamed grabbing hold of his family jewels trying to get up, which was a bad move. As soon as he stood leaning on her night stand Kagome yelled out the words he is come to hate with in the short time he is known her.

"SIT BOY!" and with that he went flying to the floor shaking everything in her room.
