2. Making History
Jim was tired. It had been a long day. What had started out as a simple mission to deliver supplies had gone horribly wrong. Klingons had appeared out of nowhere and tried to steel the supplies so the Enterprise had used all of its energy to fight them off. Now what Jim really wanted was a rest, but he wasn't going to get one.
When he stepped in the door a half Vulcan met him
"Captain-" Jim jumped when the voice came out of nowhere.
"Spock? Have you been in my room since the Klingons left?" Jim asked when he spotted Spock.
"Yes Captain-"
"Jim"
"Jim. I have been in this room waiting for you for 1.26 hours." Spock told him.
"Well sit down then," Jim said collapsing into a chair with as much dignity as he could manage, witch wasn't much.
"What do you want?" Jim asked. Jim wasn't ready for the next surprise or the one that followed it. After he asked the question he realized that Spock hesitated. Really? Spock hesitated? Jim thought. What is so important that would make Spock (Spock!?) hesitate?
Jim closed his eyes for a minute while waiting for Spock to reply so he was very surprised when warm lips suddenly meet his. Jim's eyes flew open to stare at Spock.
"I'm sorry Captain, I do not know why-" he was cut of by Jim suddenly standing up and kissing him.
"It's alright," Jim said with a grin. This day had turned out better than he ever expected.
