"Just let me help you."

"Be Quiet!"

"Here I'll show you how I did mine."

"You'd just love that wouldn't you."

It was an argument that had taken place more then once. Vayne always wanted to help,
and Roxis was always rejecting his acts of kindness. Pity, Charity and simple acts that proved Vayne was a better Alchemist then him. How it fueled his contempt for the other to no end. So when the silver haired youth offered to help, there was a hiss and scowl from the card using alchemist.

"You're just using the herbs a bit too early," he said softly trying not to upset Roxis any further. There was a small air of silence before the long haired blond pulled his hair back into a straighter ponytail and fixed his glasses.

"How so?!" he asked sternly folding his arms and leering at his partner.

"Well, when using these blue leaf herbs you can't them dissolve too quickly before you add the golden feathers or they don't cling and create the right fusion," he said trying to explain it to him.

"I know that and I add them when it's needed!" he said pushing his glasses up.

Vayne looked at him sheepishly, "Well actually, you put them in a bit too harshly," he said trying to say it gingerly so Roxis would take it better. "You need to be more..." he paused and reached to grab Roxis's hand in his, "...gentle," his smile warmed at the others to try to show that he was more than willing to teach him.

Red eyes stared down at soft blue ones, "You want to teach me?" Roxis seemed to ponder this for a minute. He was no fool, he had always wanted Vayne and he had always wanted the other boy to see his greatness and be in awe. It seemed however, that all he could do was learn from prodigy. "What did you have in mind?"

"Combining ingredients is sort of like...making love," he mused but it was such a small voice that Roxis blinked a few times and replayed his voice over and over in his head. Still unable to speak he just let Vayne continue to hear out the rest of this 'love' theory.

"You want to make something by taking two things and making them one, you have to make sure they're compatible and that you use tenderness and sometimes just the right amount of force to make sure it turns out the right way, if you time it right, chemistry, heat, compatibility, you have a bond at the end that's new and permanent," he explained still looking down at the hand he held with in his.

"Is that so?" was all Roxis could think to say, at this point his glasses were further down his nose and he was looking at Vayne in a different kind of way. Not with the bitterness of not surpassing his as previous but something new.

"So you're saying... If I play my cards right and act at the right moment..." he was leaning in, his ruby eyes darker and heavy from a warm feeling flooding him.

"...you can...make...love," was all Vayne could manage as he closed his eyes as well and moved forward to close the gap. There was heat, chemistry, and just the right amount of compatibility. This kiss was deep but brief and they broke apart and for a short time the only sound was the cauldron bubbling.

Fixing his fogged glasses he moved up to the boiling pot, "How about you put the leaves in?" he offered since he had been holding them before the kiss and they were now a blue sticky smudge in on his palm.

Vayne just smiled, "So, you want me to help you?"

"I didn't say that."

"But you want me to help you."

"......I wish love was Silent"
