In Alphabeical Order, Here are some useful first year spells.
Accio! (Summoning Charm)
- - This, first year, is the summoning charm. Whatever you would like to summon to you can be done like so Accio ({Thing you wish to summon}). For example- Accio My Homework! There, now you're all set to finish your work and practice the spell at the same time. Aren't you a talented first year!
Aguamenti!
- - This is a very handy spell. Great for terrorizing helpless cats and people alike. When you say "Aquamenti" a steady stream of water should shoot out of the end of your want. Make sure that once you are done using this spell that you wipe away the water so that it dosn't damage the wand.
Alohomora!
- - This spell unlocks doors. Please do not walk in on people as this is very rude. The door was probably locked for a reason.
Descendo!
- - This forces an object downward.
Everte Statum!
- -This is a deuling spel to be used while in duels. It causes your opponent to go flying through the air. This may seem funny to you. It is not.
Flipendo!
- - The spell used to push or something.
(Hot-Air Charm)
- - Causes wand to emit hot air. This is non-verbal but requires a complicated wand movement like so /|\x*#
Incendio!
- - Makes Fire. This too is not a funny spell.
Lumos!
- - Makes a steady light at the end of your wand.
Nox!
- - Puts out light from bearer's wand (the opposite of Lumos!)
"Pack"!
- - Packs a trunk, or perhaps any luggage.
Petrificus Totalus!
- - Full body-bind, causes the victim to turn as stiff as a board
Reparo!
- - Your handy-dandy fixer-upper in your pocket.
Wingardium Leviosa!
- - Makes things levitate This is a good defense against large mountain trolls incase you happen to stumble upon one.
