The Tide Bringer
"Link! Over here! I found it!" Medli was flying around in circles, beckoning to the group.
Link looked up at her, not wanting to get his hopes up. "Are you sure it's not another false alarm?"
"No! This is the right one, I'm sure of it!"
"That's what you said the last five times!"
"Link, please! Have a little faith!"
"Alright, I'm coming…"
This was the sixth time Medli thought she had found the cave, and the previous five times they had proved to be nothing more than dark spots in the rock.
As he hauled himself up on top of the cliffs, however, he saw that she had found the cave.
He hurried over and checked around the cave mouth. He soon found what he was looking for: the tale of the wind waker and the tide bringer in ancient Hylian around the mouth of the cave.
The tide bringer. That was why they were here in the first place. Link had found the wind waker, which allowed him to control the wind.
But with the tide bringer, he could control the sea, and everything in it. Wielding both, he would be the master of the seas.
"HEY! TETRA! SHE FOUND IT! GET UP HERE!"
Travelling with link was Medli, Tetra, and the rest of the pirates. They had been hunting for this cave for days, and Niko had given up and left. Well, sent fleeing in terror when he told Tetra he was quitting.
They made camp in the mouth of the cave, thinking it would be an easy grab and run.
They couldn't have been more wrong.
The owner glaring pair of red eyes watching from the shadows knew.
You people know, because I told you.
And I wish I could let the group sitting by the fire know, but they can't hear me, even though I'm the author. Damn. Next time I'll give them much better hearing.
They would learn soon enough, though…
