Ichigo sat on his roof, his guitar in hand. For the past week or so, he had been coming out here after dinner. He would sit and play his guitar for hours, making sure to never be too loud and irate the neighbors, not that they ever seemed to mind.
Slowly he started to strum a song that he had been working on lately; softly he began to sing to himself, not noticing the two pairs of eyes watching him.
I wake up, put my poker face on
It's roughly the same hand
I was dealt yesterday
I stand up and stare out at the skyline

That I saw yesterday
The song started talking about how he had been feeling lately. Every morning he put on his mask, so that the world couldn't see the real him. Every day he dealt with the same things, his dad, Hollows, School, his friends, Soul Society, and everything else. And every day it was the same old and town and the same sky as the day before.

As the song went on it speak of how live wasn't something they you would get right the first time you tried, you had to work harder and harder each day. That it toke a lifetime to really learn who you are and to become who you want to be, It takes a lifetime to learn your place in the world.

Also that sometimes the things that hurts you and leaves scars are the things that prove that your still alive.

Slowly the song dwindled down and Ichigo stopped singing. He laid his guitar to the side and pulled his legs to his chest, resting his arms on them and laying his head on his arms. He looked up at the stars as they Twinkled, singing the last verse to himself.
