After returning from their gaze, both Jude and Lucy stared into each others eyes. They stared longingly, hopefully and sadly. It felt like it had been years of the staring, but neither of them could stop. Lucy's were filled with tears, and Jude's were looking tired, after all, it was practically two in the morning. Jude got up after kneeling on the floor to meet with the height of Lucy while she was sitting on the chair. "Come," he said, "there is no use in sitting here for any longer. I have hope Lucy, I believe Max will make it through this tough time, after all, look at all he has been through, look at all we have been through." Lucy looked up at Jude and waited for a few seconds until she stood up. Jude hugged her and he felt her heart beat against his body. Lucy sighed and took Jude's hand, and she started walking towards their bedroom. " Good night Max," She whispered, " I will always be thinking of you" She lay in bed for what felt like hours, all these thoughts racing through her head as if it was never going to end, but soon, she fell asleep. She dreamed her beautiful and hopeful dreams, as she normally would. The only thing missing now was the satisfaction of knowing for sure that max was doing well.
