It was a cold night in Hogwarts. I laid in my bed motionless. I could hear Luna's snoring throughout the Girls' room. I sat up silently. This was the last monday on my last year in Hogwarts. I new I wasn't ready to leave. I would surley miss all of my friends, especially Ron, when I went to Yale college in America. I laid down again. Many thoughts were tossing around in my clever mind.

Should I let Ron know I like him?

Luna began to snore even louder than before so I covered my head with my pillow to block out the countinuous, annoying sound.

This week would be my last chance.

I feel into a deep sleep that night with only one thought left.

Yes, I should tell him.

THAT MORNING

I sat in the middle of Ron and Harry in the Great Hall during breakfast. We ate our food quietly. That was extremly abnormal, because we were usually very, very talkative. I looked at Ron akwardly as he crammed loads of food into his open mouth. "Ronald," I said. "What?" he replied disgustingly with food all in his mouth. I stared down at my empty plate.

How can someone that gross...be so hot?

I countinually asked myself that question over and over again. It was unexplainable to my brain. That was hard for me, because I usually could figure things out quickly. Potions and Herbology came easy to me, but Love was a whole different subject.

After we were done with all our classes I met Ron in the common room. Harry was off somewhere with Ginny and Neville. "Hi," I said as we sat on the sofa by the fireplace. "Hi," Ron replied. I stared at him akwardly.

Why did I have to like him

I pondered over this when Ron asked me, "Hermione, why must do you always have to look at me that way?" I shrugged. "I've been asking myself the same thing," I told him. He chuckled. This really made me feel akward now.

I have to tell him! I cannot stand this any longer. Okay, okay, fine! I will tell him now.

"Ron," I said. He looked at me. "Can I tell you something without you laughing at me?" I asked him. "You can tell me anything, but I can't promise that I won't laugh," he replied. "Okay, well, um..." I studdered. "Hermione just tell me!" Ron half-screamed. "I like you," I said. He looked at me.

Oh shit! I've really screwed things up now.

"Really?" he said. I stared at him.

No, I don't like you. I was lieing about the whole thing. DUH!

He leaned over and kissed me. Then he pulled back and looked at me and laughed carlessly. "Well, I thought you'd never say that, Hermione," he said.

Oh my gosh? Did that just really happen

We kissed again.

Yes, it did.

We both laughed. Then Harry walked in with Ginny and Neville. We both sat there on the couch. "What's going on?" Harry asked. "Nothin'," Ron and I both replied together.

We'll tell them later. I knew Ron was thinking the same.

Ginny and Neville just giggled. Then, all five of us sat there on the couch watching the intense glow of the fireplace.
