What begins as a fight against a corrupt corporation turns into a struggle for the life of the planet itself. Based on the popular RPG, this is my interpretation of it, fully improvised chapter by chapter from basic notes made from playing the game. Contains violence, mild language, and suggestive themes. Trapped in the Shinra Mansion, Zack and Cloud form a powerful psychic connection as a result of Hojo's experiments on them. This connection follows them through their imprisonment, escape, and across the veil between life and death. This story explores consequences of this through the whole series. It's been over a month since Zack returned back to Midgar after being MIA for five years. Even after a tearful reunion, him and Aerith haven't had a chance to re-spark the more 'intimate' part of their relationship. …Once safely in Kalm, it's time to change that.

Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis have made the difficult decision to stay in an uncertain anwhile, Genesis still has to contend with degradation and Angeal the guilt of leaving Zack behind in their past. And what, exactly, is the connection that has grown between Sephiroth and Cloud? Sequel to Future Imperfect. Will be slow burn SxC.

Aerith enjoyed messing around with Cloud when she had her funny moments. (Warning: Drug use with some extreme side effects.)

The farther their journeys take them in pursuit of Sephiroth, the rougher the terrain gets and the more difficult their battles become. And the more that Tifa worries about Cloud. Tonight, though, she realizes that he's taken on too much, prompting Tifa to set her doubts aside to give him what he needs. She's the only one who can.
