A Magical Defect
Prelude: Clow Reed
Date: Unknown
Clow Reed paced up and down his glorious study. It wasn't a very big room, with one rounded window and a desk that was far too small to occupy all of potions, and books, and papers that were strewn all over the place every moment of the day. It was a rather colourful place to be. A cage hung from the bright blue ceiling holding a bird that looked like a parrot, but wasn't quite so. The walls were covered in a mural of designs and symbols relating to his works.
In fact, it was his works that he was intensely pondering about. He had been researching for years the affect of magic persons on other magic persons. In the end, the magnitude of the affect of magic always appeared to be dependent on the person being affected and the number and strength of the magic persons surrounding them.
He sighed and sat down in a comfy looking rocking chair. As he sat, papers flew everywhere and anywhere. Many of them were magically formed sketches of people that he saw. There not people he saw in his current time though. He saw them in a different time, a different age. He would not live to actually meet these people. But in these images, he could see the kinds of people that they were and that they would need a little push and some guidance.
That was the true reason behind his current interest in this kind of contagiousness in magic.
The door pushed open slightly as Cerberus wandered in magnificently. His wings were packed tightly against his feline back just as they always stayed when he remained indoors. His brownish yellow eyes sparkled with concern at his master.
"You've done nothing but work all week."
For this he received a chuckle from the strange man that was indeed Clow Reed. Being strange was just part of who he was, he always thought. He too was one who had been affected by being surrounded by many people of magic. He had just grown to be more powerful than even them.
He closed his eyes and smiled, seeing those people again.
"Ah, Cerberus…Your new master is quite the-"
"Master Reed!" the sun beast exclaimed with a horrified look in his eyes. How could the master speak so calmly, or even yet, enthusiastic about his coming death?
"Now, now, we all know what's coming, Cerberus."
"Yue will never approve..."
"He will learn."
"But, no one would ever have as much magic as you, Master. How would they be able to contain us?"
"Where much strong power gathers, the births of much stronger powerful magic occurs."
Thus, were the words of Clow Reed himself.
Please review! I know it's not much but I would love to hear from you. =)
