I Am Lost Without Poem #2, Gale's point of view. I decided to make line breaks between stanzas, but if you don't like it, just review and tell me.
Can't you tell that I am lost?
With all you do, at what the cost
You put me in, when you're with him,
I can see no chance to win.
I wish I did, and you don't see
The anguish that you force on me.
And every minute you're not here,
It's him, not me you're ever near.
I'm weeping, still lamenting,
And I'm forever repenting
Of the deed that made you hate me,
Though I don't know it, you berate me.
If you left for him forever,
I don't know if... no, I'd never
Forget the pain inside me, burning,
Never compensate my yearning
For you, it's you, please, see,
Don't punish, torture me,
For wanting you all for my own,
For something I have never known.
And even though you're always his,
And you, oh, I'll always miss,
I'll always remember... nay,
Cherish memories of my Mockingjay.
