She'd poisoned him. He'd known it the moment his un-beating heart began to burn, every moment that passed just confirmed it to him. She'd poisoned him and it was spreading fast. Soon he wouldn't even be able to hide it from her. Spike took another swing from the bottle of whisky next to his bed and looked at the mused but empty place beside him. The pain he felt was only intensified by the alcohol in his system and he burned because of it.
He stalked her from the shadows, his presence masked by the crowd. She smelt of lust and arousal and his gut twisted painfully as he realised it wasn't him turning her on. He watched the boy she was grinding against, watched the goofy smile as his hand slipped down her back, lower and lower and hope flared in him as she not-so-gently relocated the hand back to her waist. His hopes were in vain though. Even as he watched her body swaying in time to the music only ever occasionally interrupted as she repositioned the boy's hand and smelt her arousal, he knew it would never be him. There was only ever one vampire for her.
She kissed him lightly and left a trail of fire as her hands roamed his body. He let his head fall back, lost in the bliss of her touch, of her presence. His gasp of surprise turned into a growl of arousal as her teeth scraped his neck and his demonic features forced their way forth. They rolled and now it was him on top and he was looking down into the bewildered face of his Slayer. She thrust her body upwards, her hips pausing for a second and circling causing him to harden all the more. He bore down on her, fangs inches from her neck. He wouldn't bite her. He could never betray her trust like that, but listening to her heart speed up, feeling how her breath came in shorter gasps... it was intoxicating.
He matched her punch for punch, sidestepping her lighting quick lunges easily. He knew it frustrated her. He knew that it turned her on. He launched forwards with his own flurry of punches and was rewarded as he pushed her back, hitting the mark with almost every punch. He allowed her a moment to get her breath back and was stunned by her scent as she spun, her hair fanning out around her like a fiery halo. He was brought back to awareness as her boot connected solidly with his chest, knocking him back against the far wall. He grinned and his eyes flashed yellow in warning as she came forward once more. He didn't give her time to follow up with her advantage properly. Before she could he was lunging forwards, growl burning deep in his throat. His own kick was meant to send her flying. She ducked under his kick and attempted to slide forward and into him. He pivoted so fast that she missed the motion. He snaked his arms around her thin body savouring the heat that flooded off it and nuzzled gently into the crook of her neck.
She was poison and she had invaded his entire being. He wasn't just Spike... or even just William... he was a slave to his love,
