"Why are you always so lazy?"

Sima Zhao jumped at the questioned. Wang Yuanji, a very pretty yet intelligent girl stood before him. She had her hands on her hips and her eyes fixed on him. There was a thirty centimetre difference between them. It was actually cute to him, but he knew it annoyed her.

"I don't know," he chuckled out, "Don't you ever get bored of asking me these questions, Yuanji?"

His wife sighed. Knowing this was a losing battle. A playful smile tugged at his lips as he tapped her shoulders. A flustered Yuanji turned to face the man before her. Before she could continue lecturing, Zhao had placed his lips against hers.

"I may be lazy, but I'm never too lazy to love you," he said as he winked at the petit girl before him.

He then turned and walked away to listen to his brother's rambling. Yuanji was glad he did so, as she felt redness creep its way onto her face. A small smile formed on her lips. At the age of fifteen she was married to Sima Zhao, the son of Sima Yi and brother of Sima Shi. Her eyes widened as she realized, today was her birthday and obviously Zhao had remembered.

As if he read her mind, her husband stopped in his tracks and turned to face her.

"Happy sixteenth birthday, my lady."

Yuanji didn't know why she was asked to marry him, but she was glad she did.
