After fleeing the firebombing of District 12, Peeta wanders the woods beyond the fence for days. At one point, he attacks a young woman after catching her trying to steal his food. The Rebellion has been crushed and the Dark Days are over. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Capitol has taken control once more.
