A voice from the past calls out,

"Open your eyes"

So I open my eyes, and see the light

Your golden hair still shines

Like the star from times gone by

Your voice still holds that same music

From those endless rainy nights

Because your light blinded me

I averted my eyes

The voice from the past calls out,

"Listen to the rain"

So I listen to our tears falling, and realize:

the feelings never changed

The you I met in those ember waves

That touched my heart with your love

The you I cried over

The thousand London raindrops

Now tall and strong and standing there

Protecting the world from darkness

And so let me protect it with you

A voice from the past calls out,

"Open your eyes"

So I open my eyes to our smiles
