Chris knocked on the door with his only free hand. A tall, scarily muscular guy answered the door.
The guy looked down at Chris with a creepy-looking grin. Chris dropped the package (which the guy
then caught at an unnerving speed) and ran for his life.
Emmett watched as the delivery boy sped away.
"Works every time..." he said with a chuckle as he walked back into the house.
The next day, Chris was back on the job, delivering in La Push. Again, he knocked on the door with his
free hand.
But this time, an even bigger guy answered the door. Chris just got one look at him and ran.
Jacob watched this happen in a mix of confusion and amusement. Then he smiled, picked up the package
that the delivery boy had dropped, and went back inside.
