Hello to all my followers who had been following this story since I first posted it, and also to new ones who had found this hidden beneath all the new stories from other talented writers. It has been years since I've been on this site and I had completely forgotten about the existence of this story due to school and personal reasons. I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for new work for the past years that I have neglected this story. Due to how young I was when I first started this story, I will be rewriting the first seven chapters and will do my best to give this story the ending it deserves. Since we are all in quarantine, there should be no reason why I won't be able to give you guys content. The first seven chapters will be slowly rewritten throughout the next few days, so don't be shocked to see different content in the chapters.

Disclaimer: I do not own Gakuen Alice or any of the characters excepted for my OCs and the plot.

Chapter 1

Hidden in the beloved sakura tree to a young couple, a girl was seated on a thick branch high above the ground. The girl's pigtails hung over her arms as she sobbed into her sleeves. Her hazel eyes were rimmed with red from the tears spilling over her cheeks.

Just minutes prior, she had witnessed her lover locked in a passionate embrace with her sister. Despite the distance away from them, she still had difficulty wrapping her mind around the thought of their betrayal.

Earlier that evening, she had told her best friend about the dinner date she had planned with Natsume.

"Hotaru!" Mikan was jumping in her seat with excitement, "I'm so excited! We're going to Central Town and we're going to eat at the new restaurant that just opened up!"

"I see," Hotaru replied nonchalantly.

"I hope he's as excited as I am, it's hard to tell what he's thinking sometimes."

"Hmm." A glimmer flashed across her eyes and the tiniest of smirks lifted itself onto her lips.

"What's so funny?" Mikan asked.

"Nothing," Hotaru paused. "What time are you meeting up with Hyuuga?"

"Around 5, I'm meeting him in his room." She beamed at the thought of seeing him.

Later on, Mikan was skipping to Natsume's room to meet up with him but when she opened the door, he and Luna were in the middle of a deep kiss.

She stared in shock at the sight, her eyes welling up with tears. She turned to run from the room but instead knocked her arm into the door frame and yelped at the sudden pain.

"Mikan?"

She froze at Natsume's voice, her heart shuddering with tender love and agony. She shook her head and ran without looking back.

Sprinting as fast as she could through, she headed straight for the spot that they shared. She hated that even after what he'd done, the sakura tree was where she was headed to first for comfort.

The bed of grass cushioned her knees as she collapsed at the base of the tree, tears silently fell from her eyes. Her throat closed up and she shook from the effort to resist from crying out.

Laughter echoed to me from the bottom of the hill and she stiffened, she didn't want to be seen crying. She began to climb the sakura tree that she hadn't been able to scale before and continued to ascend until there were no longer any more branches that would support her.

She took a moment to catch her breath then carefully settled herself onto the thick branch. Her thoughts were once again overwhelmed with the sight of Natsume and Luna together and this time, she didn't stop herself from crying out loud.

At some point, Mikan had passed out from all the crying and by the time she had woken up, the sky had turned dark and she heard people calling her name.

She peered down from the branch and saw Nonoka and Anna running around looking. Hotaru was riding her flying swan bike and was looking everywhere, she had her stoic face on but her eyes were full of panic and worry. Ruka-pyon, Inchou and Koko were in the school running in the halls, yelling her name.

She had no idea how much time had passed and in her panic, she slipped from the branch. She cried out in fear and pain as leaves and branches whipped against her body during her descent and slammed into a branch in the middle of her fall. She gasped in pain from the blow to her stomach, but then gritted her teeth and forced herself onto the branch then slowly and carefully, climbed down the tree.

When she got to the bottom she looked around to see who was near when she saw Luna running towards the tree and she quickly hid from her view, unwilling to face her.

Hearing footsteps on the other side of the tree, she peeked around the trunk. Natsume quickly stepped out from the other side and gave Luna a hug.

"We need to find onee-chan, I'm worried that she's hurt somewhere." Luna had her head tucked into his neck and he leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"Don't worry," he whispers gently to her, "We'll find her soon."

Mikan's stomach curled from their intimate moment and choked on a sob. She silently backed away from them, careful so they couldn't see her. Fresh tears rolled onto her cheeks and for the second time that day, she ran from her lover and sister.

She planned on heading back to her room but on the way there, she heard her friends yelling her name. She unconsciously used the Mind Reading Alice that she had copied from Koko and heard all their thoughts.

"Why does she have to go missing? Now we have to look for her."

"This is so annoying, ugh I wanna sleep."

"Where is she? We've looked everywhere!"

"Why couldn't she just not cause any trouble?"

"This is why I hate dealing with her, she just never sits still."

The more she heard, the more she felt her stomach drop into a pit. She slowed her steps, listening with a clarity that she hadn't had before. She was trouble that they never wanted to deal with, she wasn't someone that was important to them.

Tears began to bead anew in her eyes but before they could roll down her face, she angrily wiped them away. She began to walk with certainty, not towards her room, but towards the elementary school principal's office.

The next morning, everyone showed up tired to class. Mikan has disappeared the night before and was no one had been able to find her. Natsume ran his fingers through his hair and frowned, Imai had Nonoko make a love potion that was meant for him and Mikan. But Luna had walked in to lend Natsume a manga that she agreed to let him borrow, resulting in both of them inhaling the potion and they ended up in love with each other for the next twelve hours.

Everyone was dragging their feet with worry and fatigue and was glancing at Mikan's seat, concern pasted on each of their faces when their teacher, Narumi walked into the class.

He turned to face the class with a solemn expression. "Good morning class, I have some sad news for everyone," he said gravely. "Mikan Sakura has been issued a transfer to the Gakuen Alice in Canada." Natsume's head snapped to the front of the classroom and everyone questioning Narumi. "The reason for the transfer is confidential and I will not be able to divulge any details to anyone." With that, he left.

Before dawn had broken that morning, Mikan had returned to her room and packed the little belongings that she had since entering the academy. Narumi-sensei was outside her door waiting when she opened her door. He took her small suitcase and walked her to the limo in front of the school. She paused as he put her luggage into the trunk and looked back to the school she had lived in for the past three years of her life. She thought back to the memories of the terrifying wars, the happy parties, the stupid fights, and even the mundane everyday life she had.

More tears sprung up and she wiped them away with the back of her hand. Narumi-sensei stood in front of Mikan with a sad smile. More tears blurred her vision and she threw her arms around his waist. He held her tightly to him and said, "I'm gonna miss you so much Mikan-chan."

"Me too," she whispered. The driver opened the car door for her. She loosened her grip around him and settled into the soft leather seats, nodding thank you towards the driver. The car started and she waved goodbye to Narumi and watched as he disappeared from her view.

Once her plane had touched down onto Canadian soil, Mikan was greeted by a familiar figure waiting for her at the exit of the airport.

"Mikan!" A dark-haired girl waved her arm to get her attention. "Over here!"

Mikan exhaled a sigh of relief and threw herself onto the other girl. "Elsie!"

Elsie had golden fair skin with bright brown eyes that shimmered with flecks of gold. Her long straight hair fell down her back

The two girls hugged each other tightly before pulling away, "Oh my god, I missed you so much!" Elsie exclaimed, "How long has it been? Four years? Wow, you got prettier again!"

Mikan turned red from the unexpected compliment, "You got prettier too."

She rolled her eyes and scoffed, "As if, compared to you, I'm gonna be the ugly duckling." She hooked their arms together, "Come on, we have some catching up to do then I'm touring you around." She winked then dragged her towards a white limo.

"Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning being told that I would be partners with you." We settled into the seats, "I didn't even know you were an Alice!"

"It was a complete accident of how I found out, its a whole mess of a story." Mikan's head whirled with the memories of following Hotaru and meeting the class of 3B. "But you! I didn't know you were one too!"

"They came to get me the year after we met," Elsie shrugged. "What's your Alice?"

"Nullification, Stealing, and Insertion Alice."

"Oh, so you're a multi-Alice!" Elsie clapped her hands together with excitement in her eyes.

Mikan blushed again, "What about you?"

"Oh, I have the Voice Pheromone, Elemental Alice, and the Copy Alice." She shrugged, "So why are you here in Canada instead of the Academy in Japan?"

Mikan stared at her in shock, she spoke of her Alice's as if all those rare ones were normal.

"Uhm, I actually came from there, some things happened and I decided to come here instead."

"Well, whatever it was, I'm glad we got to see each other again." Elsie smiled. "Oh, I can't for you to see your room! It'll be so much fun decorating it together!"

The limo stopped, the girls opened the door to the front of the school and Elsie dragged Mikan to all of the places they had. Like the Gakuen Alice in Japan, the one in Canada also has three divisions, high school, middle school, and elementary school division. She showed her the music room, the gym, the science lab, the swimming pool and the classrooms.

Finally, they went to Mikan's room, it was a Special Star room, with all the luxuries of a Special Star provided. It was an apartment with its own bathroom and kitchen, there was even space for a living room. Mikan's suitcase had been sent ahead of her and had already been unpacked, and all her clothes were placed neatly into the walk-in closet along with the Canadian school's version of the uniform. The kitchen had also been stocked with a whole cabinet full of Howalons and kitchenware.

"Okay," Elsie walked towards the entrance. "I'm next door, so if you need anything just head over. I usually leave my door unlocked when I'm in there."

Mikan nodded and the door closed with a click. She stood by herself in her new apartment with no one but the silence to keep her company.
