Gol D. Roger has a weighty decision to make. The flow of time has been altered, not because he had been granted foreknowledge of what is to come, but because his successor had made a wish. To be more precise, the entire crew's wish had been granted. They will remember nothing of their previous life, and he probably shouldn't have either, but for some reason or another he has been granted knowledge of everything that is to come following his death, as well as what happens in each of their lives.

Roger doesn't know who to turn to, but he has to do something. Even though he is to die in a manner of his own choosing, knowing that Rouge, his own son and even old Newgate are going to die... It is creating a mess of conflict in his heart. The Pirate King isn't going to idly sit by when he can help to further change how things will go.

Roger is also aware that he can't play favorites, not when his successor and his crew needs help as well. First, he needs to find a lot of paper and ink. Then he needs to set up a meeting with old Newgate and get things set up for when he gives himself up.

Portgas D. Rouge holds the letter from her lover in trembling hands, tears in her eyes as she reads it on e more. She is going to be hunted, that much she understands, and Roger's letter is as confusing as it is chillingly accurate. That he knows she will stay on Baterilla and hide her pregnancy for as long as possible once he gives himself up... She isn't sure how to react to that.

The letter in her hands crumples as she tried to make sense of the request that Roger is making of her. He wants her to leave Baterilla and South Blue, before he turns himself in to the Marines. He has already contacted someone to come and pick her up, and they are due to arrive soon. There is no telling how soon soon was, and there isn't even a hint as to where she will be going.

A knock on her door makes her jump, and after she collects herself Rouge tucks away the letter and goes to answer the door. She quickly wipes her face clean of tears before she opens the door and to her surprise, shock and astonishment Monkey D. Garp is standing there. Nervousness is quick to take over and she smiles weakly at the Marine Vice Admiral. "How may I help you, Kaigun-san?"

"No need to be so formal, Portgas-san. I am here as a favor to our mutual acquaintance to escort you to East Blue." He smiles cordially, and she feels oddly at ease with Garp despite having just met him. That Roger has supposedly even asked a Marine to help her is... Incomprehensible. Then Garp does something that makes it easier to trust him completely. He holds up a pink hibiscus, like the one she wears tucked into her hair, and offers it to her.

"He really did send you," she whispers as she takes the flower, and the reality of everything sets in. Rouge feels more tears coming on and she stubbornly wipes at them as she bids Garp to enter.

Dragon can't believe his eyes. The Pirate King has written him a letter. It isn't just a letter though, but information vital to a cause that he is working on building for a revolutionary movement. There are things he needs to prepare for and he will need to get support right away, especially with what is supposed to come in two years time.

Most will probably call him a fool for believing that anyone, let alone the Pirate King himself, knows what will happen in the future. Dragon is a D. though, just like Roger, and his gut is telling him to follow the careful instructions in the letter. This coming attack on Ohara, where a Poneglyph is being studied, needs to be averted. How, though...

Edward Newgate, also known on the seas as Whitebeard, is contemplating the letter that Roger had sent to him. It is several pages long, and the information that is held within those pages is unsettling. There is talk of betrayal amongst his crew, years and years from now mind you, and he can hardly believe it to be true. Roger isn't known for lying, though, and what's more is the information of Roger's son becoming one of his own. At least, he had done so in a previous life, but this time will be different?

Out of all the times he and Roger had clashed and then ended up drinking together like the best of friends, there has never been a breath of this kind of talk. Edward reads through the letter again and scowls. It seems like this foreknowledge of Roger's is only recent, ever since he had visited a special place on Laugh Tale. The Yonkō doesn't know what the Pirate King is speaking of, but he isn't going to question the validity of the information. He is definitely going to interrogate the man when he comes for this visit he had mentioned.
