Ultrabross's Vision

CHP44: They Meet Again

Airborne and traveling close to one another Qisk and Feyaglia kept an eye out for the subjects of interest. Ultrabross preferably wanted the two alive; both keeping that in mind as the search was underway. Though she didn't show it Feyaglia was upset and wished her hands were around Morrigan's throat! The succubus had been more of a nuisance than help since jumping on board. Neither Feyaglia nor Qisk were great at detecting enemy energy levels which made the task a lot harder, "You'd think that bitch would at least have been somewhat useful and revealed a general location of where she encountered the wolf and bat!" Feyaglia grimaced thinking to herself.

They went on for minutes with no progress and it was then a familiar voice communicated to them through telepathic link, "Qisk, Feyaglia can you hear me? I've got information that'll greatly help in your mission. From this point forward you will no longer have to search for the targets blindly."

"Lord Ultrabross…" Qisk whispered.

"The werewolf and Batman are no more than three miles south from your current position. Once you're within their range spotting them won't be difficult, they're out in the open. Remember try and bring them back alive, good luck." Ultrabross notified before ending the transition.

Stress that weighed over her shoulders moments ago was no longer present. Receiving word of the targets whereabouts was a relief. The first time around she screwed up and because of that wanted to redeem herself quickly as possible. Together they picked up speed zooming through the air and in minutes had their sights set on what they came for. Side by side they walked, neither Gin nor the Dark Knight aware of what approached them from above.

"You've faced off with them before yes, how you think we should go about apprehending them huh? Perhaps they come willingly hhmmm?" Qisk questioned.

"Depends…if they really want their friend back we might not have to throw a single fist. But I say we rough them up a bit before dragging them back to base. These people aren't allies by any means and we must make that clear; besides I really need to get my hands dirty." Feyaglia licked at her lips.

Ultrabross didn't exactly nominate either to lead the task but seeing as she already encountered them previously Qisk was ok with her making the decisions. Full speed ahead she readied herself for impact but at the last instant both the caped crusader and Gin jumped out of the way as she instead collided with the sandy turf. Qisk casually touched down beside her as she spat dirt from her mouth.

"Curse them both!" She hissed.

"Hey isn't that…" Gin lifted his finger pointing, but couldn't put a name with the face.

"Yes that's the woman that made off with your friend." Batman replied.

In fact the more they thought about it was sure they never knew her name to begin with. The dust from the ground slowly cleared, the four standing before one another. Aside from the woman they weren't familiar with the other at her side. He stood at 5'11, short purple hair, black eyes, clad in brown armor, gray boots and gloves equipped with two sheathed swords. Them showing up spared Batman and Gin the trouble of going out and finding them. With that in mind their objectives differed, Gin wanting to find Tsukune and then a way back to the yokai realm whilst the dark Knight back to Gotham.

"I have no interest in fighting you people. All I ask is for a return to the city you first encountered us, whatever your reason for being there and what you're doing now is your own business. It has nothing to do with me." Batman implied.

"Why did you take off with Tsukune dammit?! He's nothing more than a student to Yokai Academy like myself. Ichigo's the one you're after right, then why the hell involve the rest of us! Using Tsukune as bait to lure Kurosaki is just downright dirty!" Gin voiced.

A single chuckle escaped Feyaglia's lips.

"You honestly think everything revolves around Ichigo wolf boy, you've got things mixed up. I don't know what for but master seems to think you're of some value wolf. You on the other hand the boss wants to speak with as I'm sure you're already aware. But enough about that, we're here to bring you in and will do just that."

"Say we agree to your terms, what happens after this leader of yours speaks with me. And if my answers to his questions aren't good enough, what then?" The caped crusader questioned.

Gin's fists tightened shoving his left foot into the dirt.

"Enough of this, no way should we negotiate with these people. We can trust em it's simple as that, anything they say is a lie and are likely setting us up. Let's take them down now and force them to tell us where their boss is." Gin again shoved a single foot into the ground darting toward the two.

"Gin wait!" Batman called out.

It was already too late; Gin transformed into werewolf form and by the look of things wouldn't stop until they were downed.

Everyone had looked to the sky setting their eyes on what had Ruby concerned. Mizore nor any of the others were sure what to make of it except Ichigo. Whatever it was gave off a familiar aura but couldn't make out what. Still, he didn't like things one bit so kept his guard up. The area in question continued to grow in size, electricity appearing over the dark foggy cloud like substance. Ichigo immediately took a step back, his hand falling atop the substitute badge. The feeling trouble was on the way was strong within his veins.

"Damn that doesn't look good uh…maybe it's time we make a run for it." Haiji swallowed deeply.

Alone he picked up speed but gazing over his shoulder saw that not a single of them followed, "Do they really intend on standing around and waiting for that thing to explode." Haiji bit at his tongue.

The foggy section in the sky continued to expand giving off thunderous sounds. In the following second a bright flash emitted from the mid section of the cloud which quickly grew in size opening what looked to be a dimension hole. Ichigo clutched his fists realizing what he hoped wouldn't happen was indeed the case. One after another hollows of different types exited from the vortex.

"Everyone get as far away from here as you can; you'll only get in the way." Ichigo said.

"Runaway and leave you here have you lost your mind!" Ruby looked to the sky spotting more than thirty of them already.

"Yeah she's right; you can't really be planning to take them on all on your own!" Yukari added.

Ichigo paid their words no attention watching as more hollows came onto the scene.

"If he wants to get himself killed than why stand in the way, it's not our problem." Akua spoke.

Moka gazed over at her older sister not agreeing, but remained silent. Everyone else felt similarly to the silver haired vampire. Before long the dimension hole from above closed; an uncountable number of them floating around. Ichigo knew there was no time to waste and had to make a move, "What the hell is happening! Something's not right here this is all way to convenient; hollows appearing here right above me, damn! Guess I have no choice but to take them out." The death god thought silently.

With a single hand over the badge Ichigo thought the situation over. Moka and Kurumu were really the only two with any clue regarding the way his abilities worked. To that point not even they were aware of his true nature of being a shinigami. He knew it was no time to hold back; the hollows were his responsibility. Worrying about anything other than that wasn't an option. He reached into his pocket popping the mod soul pill into his mouth.

Separated from his body Ichigo took to the sky after the hollows. He held the zanpakuto firmly in his grasp zooming around cutting down dozens of them in the blink of an eye.

"Wait why is there two Ichigo's!" Yukari looked back and forth between them.

"I was just about to say the same thing!" Mizore added with an almost identical expression to Yukari.

Kurumu quickly jumped in explaining things to the rest of the group as best she could. Most couldn't believe their ears but was confirmed by Ichi/Kon himself. Yukari especially couldn't believe it, jumping back with wide eyes and her mouth dropped open. Haiji scratched at the side of his head not sure what to think of it all.

Ichigo evaded the hollows as they zipped through the open vortex. After a dozen more the portal closed behind them. He was uncertain as to how many actually came through, holding a firm grip over his blade calculating how he'd go about finishing the hollows in a timely manner. The conditions weren't entirely in his favor, but at the same time was just hollows and could deal with all of them with little difficulty.

The battle went on for an extended period of time, Kurumu and the others watching from down below. None of them were fully able to keep up with Ichigo's speed as he made it look easy cutting down so many of the beasts at once. Some of the hollows tried going for the group but were cut down before they could get far, "What is he!" Akua bit down over her tongue.

It wasn't long before only a couple remained, the death god taking them out swiftly leaving only one; a hollow managed to escape his sights and headed for Moka and the others. Ichigo dashed passed Mizore taking off into the air. Just as he'd done with many of the others was done in the blink of an eye. He hovered for various moments trying to detect any remaining hollows that might have went into hiding during the battle. It was quickly determined none remained, hovering downward taking a knee over the surface below. The effects he felt after the destruction of the special hollows seemed three times enhanced than usual. His head raced like crazy and felt drained.

"Dammit not this again, what the hell's wrong with me." Ichigo thought silently.

The hollows had been taken care of but something of greater power approached from the distance. It was difficult to say for sure felt as though it was two separate individuals, one in which he recognized the energy signature almost right away, "Morrigan."

"Ichigo!" Moka shouted running and leaning down beside him.

"Don't worry Moka I'll be just fine," Ichigo stood upright with Moka doing the same. He looked in the direction of where the two individuals appeared to be approaching from, "Look I don't know what's about to happen but I want you, Kon and everyone to continue on without me. I will catch up soon as I can."

"What're you insisting, what's going on?" Moka asked.

Before he could answer the rest of the group joined them from behind. Just as he got ready to face the group they appeared from the corner of his eye, just below the clouds. His grip tightened over the handle of his blade. Just as he suspected one of them was Morrigan and the other…! Ruby was the first to notice them outside of Ichigo.

"Who're they." The witch pointed to the sky.

Everyone looked up just as the two touched down no more than twenty yards from them. Had Ichigo been in his body his heart would have been racing like crazy, "No way…this can't be. What is he doing back in the world of the living, I watched him die." The death god eyed down the person opposite of Morrigan.

"Damn you what the hell did your friend do with Tsukune!" Moka shouted marching forward.

Ichigo immediately pulled at the vampire's wrist keeping her from going any further. He moved in front of her taking a closer look at the individual standing at 5'6, bleach colored skin, green eyes with small slit-shaped pupils, a portion of his bangs falling between his eyes, black hair, teal lines which descend from the lower part of his eyes, and top-left side of his head was a broken horned helmet.

"Kurosaki Ichigo." The enemy spoke.

"Ulquiorra…" Ichigo replied.

In that moment he couldn't see how their situation could get any worse. It was about as bad as it could get and to make matters worse wasn't alone. Fighting against Ulquiorra and Morrigan was already a task but having to worry about the others in the process made it just that much more difficult.

"Ichigo you know that guy?" Kurumu asked.

He gave no reply and instead was in a standstill staring into the eyes of Ulquiorra, "Moka, everyone…get out of here now." Ichigo said.

"No way, we won't leave you. We'll defeat them no problem if we work together as a team. Plus we owe Morrigan one for turning us against you back in the Yokai realm." Kurumu said.

"Kurumu-chan is right, we will take them down together and force them to tell us where Tsukune is." Ruby added.

"Sounds like a plan, I'm down." Haiji cracked his knuckles.

"I won't ask again get out of here now! You guys won't stand a chance, you will die if you stay here! Go now, don't make me say it again!" Ichigo shouted.

Morrigan was one thing but with Ulquiorra in the picture changed things tremendously. Back when they fought Ichigo was unable to defeat him without the hollow from within. If he was to fall, it was at least comforting to know the others might have a shot at getting away. There was no doubt he had questions for the Arrancar and asking him directly was an idea, but in the specific moment was not for the best.

"You and that temper Ichigo, you should really tone it down." Morrigan giggled.

"Shut up!" He retorted.

"If Ichigo wants us to leave than maybe he has a good reason. I say we listen to him, if he wants to fight alone than we shouldn't get in the way of that." Yukari emphasized.

"Do what you will but I'm not going anywhere," Moka looked to Ichigo, "Stop being so stubborn and let us help!"

"Your girlfriend speaks the truth Kurosaki you can't really think you can beat us all by your lonesome hehe." Morrigan added.

"Watch me," Ichigo lifted his blade positioning it out in front of him. Acting fast was the only course of action, letting the fight drag as he previously allowed would play into their favor. Taking Morrigan out of the picture first was the only thing on his mind. Handling Ulquiorra one on one would be problematic enough. Play time was over and time to go all out, "Bankai!"

Light surrounded Ichigo as Moka and the others moved back.
