After they arrived at the Illusion Island the next day, Pegasus gave his short speech before the Duelist Kingdom Tournament began – which started an hour after the speech. Yugi kept his promise and kicked Haga out of the Tournament as soon as it started, he had a bit of a hard time because of Haga's Cocoon of Evolution combo, but he managed to win. Yugi had baited Haga into betting two of his Starchips – saying that he would quit Duel Monsters if he lost to Haga, since he could only bet one Starchips after he gave the other one to Jou that night. So, after he won against Haga, Yugi had three Starchips with him now.

Then, after Mai found out that Yugi was the one who taught Jou how to play Duel Monsters, she challenged Jou into a duel. Of course, even though Jou was taught by Yugi, he was still a newbie and so he was having a hard time dueling Mai. Even more so because he kept getting distracted by Mai's aroma trick – which let her know all of her cards with her eyes closed – but Yugi gave him a hint about Mai's aroma trick and how to win against her, that was 'Something that could be seen but couldn't be seen'. After he solved the riddle, he could win against Mai.

"Well, I'm surprised that you could win against me, but congrats." Mai said with a smile as she handed Jou two of her Starchips. She had gotten six Starchips when Yugi was busy dueling Haga, so she still had four Starchips with her – which gave her a right to keep dueling in the Duelist Kingdom Tournament, until she either got 10 or lose all of them.

"Two?" Jou asked in confusion as he stared at the Starchips that Mai offered to him, "But we only bet one".

"The other one is my welcome gift to you, since you have started your debut as a Duelist." Mai explained to him as she put the two Starchips into Jounouchi's open palm, "You're still new in here and you need to get the money for Shizuka, so just take it. Use them to get more Starchips to get to the final".

"Mai . . ." Jou breathed in awe – touched by her kindness – before smiling at her, "Thank you".

Mai smiled at him again before patting his left shoulder with her right hand, "Yugi is a skilled Duelist, and since you're his student, don't bring a shame to him by losing in so early in the tournament. Alright?" She winked to Jou – causing him to blush – before looking at Yugi and the rest, "I'm going on my own way now." She told them with a warm smile, "I need to get Starchips too, and it would be faster if I'm going on my own".

Yugi nodded at her, "Take care, Mai." He said softly, "We will meet again later?".

"Yes, tonight." Mai answered, "I'm sure I can track you down easily, so . . . until then." She waved at them and they waved at her as she walked to a different direction.

"Alright!" Jou exclaimed once Mai was out of their sight, "Let's go search for someone to duel too!" his words was answered by his own stomach rumbling from hunger, "Ah, I'm hungry." He said sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head.

"Well, let's see if we can catch some fish for Lunch then." Yugi suggested as he pointed at the Sea's direction, which was not far from where they were at the moment.

"But how can we catch fish bare handed?" Honda asked with a sigh.

"Oh, don't worry about it." Yugi answered with a grin as he took off his backpack before pulling out a folded up fishing pole, "I know that Pegasus wouldn't prepare any food for us before we enter the Castle, so I brought this in advance".

"Wow! You are so prepared for any situation, aren't you, Yugi." Anzu said in awe.

"Thank you." Yugi answered with a grin at her before addressing the rest of his group, "Let's go to the Sea, there's got to be a good place for us to fishing".

They group then walked to a short cliff next to the sea, and once they found a good spot, Yugi told them what they should do. Jou and Honda were in charge of finding wooden sticks to make a fire, so they could cook their fish, while Anzu was in charge of cooking the fish, and then Yugi was in charge of fishing. Not long after that, Yugi had caught enough fish for everyone – along with a second or third helping for Jou and Honda, since they ate a lot – which then being grilled by Anzu in the fire that was made by Jou.

"Ah, we are lucky that Yugi's prepared for this kind of situation." Jou said as he took a bite of his grilled fish.

"Right." Honda said in agreement, "Who knows that we would have to get our own food in here?".

"Me." Yugi answered calmly as he took a bite of his fish as well, "I know very well what Pegasus would do, since I once had a business contract with him".

"What?!" Jou, Honda, and Anzu gasped and nearly choked on their food, they then turned to Yugi simultaneously and stared at him like he had grown another head.

"What is 'what'?" Yugi asked them innocently while blinking eyes, wondering what he had said to cause such a reaction from them.

"You're working with Pegasus?" Jou asked in confusion and disbelief.

Yugi shook his head in answer and smiled reassuringly. "I once had a business contract with him, not anymore though." He explained to them before taking a bite of his fish, he made sure to swallow the food in his mouth before he continued, "Pegasus wasn't like this in the past, he only started to change after he came back from visiting Egypt. If I remember correctly, it was about a year after his late wife passed away, and it was during that time that he started creating Duel Monsters as well. You see, I was one of the first customers, when I was still using Heba as my name. We got along quite well, sometimes we would make a business contract to help each other, and his business had grown so much because of it. Although, he started acting like an arrogant bastard not long after that, so I cut off all of our business contracts, in a good term of course".

Anzu looked at Yugi with a thoughtful expression, taking in what Yugi had said. "I wonder . . . what had happened in Egypt?" She mused out loud to herself.

"Something important and life changing, obviously." Yugi answered with a pout. I don't know how, but I'm sure that Pegasus had gone to The Site somehow. It's the only explanation since the monsters in the Duel Monsters looks so much like the Ka Monsters, they must be his inspiration for creating Duel Monsters. "Even so, I want to know what had caused the change in him as well." Yugi said before looking at the Sea behind him, he had heard something just now.

"Yugi?" Jou asked curiously, "What's wrong?".

"I heard something." Yugi answered without looking at his friends.

They waited for a minute before they saw a figure started climbing on to the cliff. The figure turned out to be a tanned man with a nice built body and wild black hair, he wore a swimming goggle on top of his head and was carrying a harpoon in his left hand. The man managed to climb up onto the cliff before he noticed them, "Oh, hey th-" He couldn't finished his words because the wave washed over him and took him back to the Sea in that instant.

Yugi blinked – while the others gasped in worry – before standing up and walked over to the edge of the cliff to see if the man was alright. He saw the man was climbing back up, so Yugi offered a hand to help him up. "Are you alright?" Yugi asked as he pulled the man onto the cliff beside him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the help." The man answered before looking at his empty harpoon, only to notice that the fish that he had caught had been swept by the wave when he fell earlier. "Argh, not again." He sighed with a grimace before blushing when his stomach growled.

Yugi chuckled when he heard the noise. "Why don't you sit and have Lunch with us? We can spare a fish or two for you." He offered in a friendly tone.

The man grinned hearing the offer. "Thank you, I will help catch the fish later if you want to eat more." He promised before joining Yugi and his friends around the campfire. "By the way, I'm Ryouta Kajiki." He said as he showed his Duelist Glove, "You are Mutou Yugi, right?" He asked as he looked at Yugi.

"Yes." Yugi confirmed while showing his Duelist Glove as well.

Jou also showed his Duelist Glove, which he had taken from Haga after Yugi won. "Jounouchi Katsuya, but the people call me Jounouchi or Jou." He introduced himself.

"I'm Mazaki Anzu." Anzu said with a wave of her hand.

"My name if Honda Hiroto, but people call me Honda." Honda said with a nod of his head.

Yugi handed Ryouta one of the fish. "Ryouta Kajiki." He muttered thoughtfully before looking at the tanned man curiously, "Are you the one who got the third place in the National Tournament?".

"Yup, that's me!" Ryouta answered with a big grin before taking a bite of his fish, "Man, this is cooked perfectly." He said happily as he looked at the grilled fish in his hands.

"Thank you." Anzu answered a smile on her face.

'Do you want to take over, Yami? You can enjoy the food for once while talking with everyone.' Yugi offered through their Mind Link.

"Sure, why not?" Yami answered before taking over Yugi's body, 'I don't know what to talk about though.' He added while taking a bite of the fish.

"So, Ryouta." Jou started after he finished his fish, before reaching for another one, "What brings you here? Into this Tournament I mean".

"I'm aiming to get the money." Ryouta answered with a grin, "If I win, I want to use the money to buy a new ship. I'm from a family of fishermen, you see".

"Fishermen? That's cool." Yami commented before asking curiously, "You said a new ship, what happened to your old one then?".

"Well, I want to buy the newest model, so that I can sail out to the Sea to catch many fish every day." Ryouta told them as he lowered his fish for the time being, "It's because my old one was destroyed in a sudden storm, since it's all happened so suddenly. The weather was nice and friendly that day, so I and my Dad headed out to the Sea with our ship, but then the storm hit out of the blue and destroyed our ship. For the most part, anyway. The ship could still stay afloat, but we couldn't move from our spot due to the broken engine. Fortunately, there's another ship that rescued us once the storm died down. Even so, our ship was destroyed and we couldn't afford a new one, so we couldn't sail out to the Sea again and could only get fish from the beach only." He then grinned at them, "That's when I got the idea to enter Duel Monsters Tournaments to get the money to buy a new ship, since it's my hobby to play Duel Monsters".

Anzu smiled, "That's great." She said cheerfully.

"But a ship, huh?" Jou mumbled in thought, "They are very expensive, right? I wonder how long it would take until you could buy it".

"Don't worry, we're renting a boat for the time being." Ryouta assured Jou with a grin on his face, "There is this Starlight Café that owned a boat, you see, they agreed to let us rent the boat with only half of the original cost, as long as we supplied them with some of the fish we caught for the day." He explained cheerfully, "I really want to meet with the owner of Starlight Café, I want to thank them personally for the offer".

'Do you want to tell him?' Yami asked in his mind as he glanced sideways to Yugi's Spirit form.

"Hee, Starlight Cafe?" Jou asked with interest, "I'm working part time as a Cook in there, but unfortunately, I haven't meet with the owner yet. All of my Seniors said that he's very busy, since he had to manage the other products of Starlight Corp. as well".

"I think I would, seeing that Ryouta is so happy like that and want to thank me personally." Yugi answered before taking over his body again, "Actually, Jou, you met him nearly every day." He told his friend.

Jou and Ryouta looked at Yugi in surprise. "You know who he is?" They asked at the same time with the same level of surprise in their voice.

"Of course." Yugi answered with an innocent smile, "I mean, the person is right in front of you, you know?".

They blinked in confusion a few times before turning to Anzu when she gasped. "Y- you mean . . . you are The Owner?" Anzu asked in shock while staring at Yugi with wide eyes.

Yugi blushed a bit at the amount of shock he could hear in her voice, but he nodded in answer to her question. "Yeah." He confirmed sheepishly as he looked down to his fish.

The group gasped and looked at Yugi for a long time before Jou asked breathlessly, "Really?".

"How come?" Ryouta asked in shock and disbelief.

Yugi grinned at them hearing the question. "Well, 'Starlight' is an English word." He explained, "Do any of you know what word is in Japanese?".

They were all wearing a thoughtful expression before Anzu gasped again, "Hoshikage!" She blurted out the answer, "It's Yugi's name!".

"Huh?" Ryouta frowned in confusion at that, "Isn't his name Mutou Yugi?".

Yugi smiled at the fisherman. "My original name is Hoshikage Yugi, but then I was adopted into the Mutou Family. That's why the people know me as Mutou Yugi instead of Hoshikage Yugi." He explained to them, "I don't like to attract people's attention, so I made all of my Companies under the brand of Starlight, so the people couldn't find out about my relation with the Starlight Corp. so easily".

His explanation earned him many gasps of shock again. "You owned all of Starlight Companies?!" They exclaimed in disbelief.

"Wow." Honda breathed in awe, "Yugi, I would never thought that you have that much influence in the world".

Ryouta looked at Yugi, "Does that mean that you are the one who rent me the boat?" He asked thoughtfully.

Yugi nodded, "Yeah, the Cafe was really in need of a new supplier that time. Ginga, the Manager and Chef, heard your problem and thought that we could help each other out, I agreed with her and let her offered you to be our new supplier." He explained with a smile on his face, "I didn't know about your name though, I only know the story and agreed with her idea".

"Oooh." Ryouta said in awe before grinning, "Anyway, thank you for your help." He said cheerfully.

Yugi grinned, "You are welcome." He answered, "Let's continue our meal before they get cold." He said and changed back to Yami.

Seto was working on his Duel Disk in his Vacation House's Office when he heard a commotion from downstairs, causing for him to frown in confusion. There were only him, Mokuba and Hobson in the Mansion at the moment, because he gave his employees a break since it's week end, so why did he hear a sound of many people talking?

Seto was curious, but being the cautious businessman he was – not to mention that Yugi always told him to be prepared for any kind of situation, since being a CEO of a big Company was a risky job – he put his soon-to-be Duel Disk into his briefcase before opening his drawer, where he kept his Silver Bullet – a gun especially designed to kill Vampires. He wasn't a VH, but he always had Silver Bullet with him just in case he was attacked by Rogues again – and since Silver Bullet could be used against normal human as well, he decided to get Silver Bullet instead of a normal gun.

He wore his Dark Blue coat before taking his briefcase with him along with his gun before opening the door, and that's when he realized that the talking was not talking at all – it was actually yelling, but because his Office was sound proof – or almost sound proof, anyway – the yelling was muffled into a talking volume. He narrowed his eyes and marched out to the Hall, where he heard the commotion from, "What's happen here?" He whispered to himself when he saw Kimo, one of the Big 5, and Pegasus's men pointing their gun at Mokuba and Hobson.

They took Mokuba with them after knocking Hobson out, making Seto seeing red, so he didn't think clearly and shot just at Kimo – which causing for Kimo to yell in pain when the bullet pierce his shoulder and then turned around to see who shot him. Kimo saw him and then retreated immediately, but not before ordering Pegasus's men to shot him. Seto use his briefcase as a shield while running away, regardless of how skilled in fight as he was, he knew that he couldn't win against that many opponents – not with each of them using a gun – so his only option right now was to run and got to a safe place first before thinking about what he should do next.

Seto threw open the balcony door that was overlooking the Sea before jumping off of the fence without hesitation, and he dove right into the Sea. He quickly swam to nearby rocky parts to hide himself from their view. He knew that Hobson would be fine so he wasn't worried about his Butler's safety, but there was one thing he regretted. He forgot to take his most reliable deck with him when he got out of his office, in which he put his three Blue Eyes White Dragons inside.

Forgive me, Kisara. He thought as soon as he realized it.

"Ah! I'm full!" Jou exclaimed in satisfaction while patting his stomach.

"Of course you are full." Anzu commented with a sweat drop, "You ate 5 grilled fish by yourself, you know".

Jou laughed cheerfully before looking at Ryouta, "So, what are you going to do now?" He asked cheerfully.

"Well, since this Sea in my territory, I will just wait for the Duelists to come here and duel me." Ryouta answered with a smirk before looking at Yugi – or who he thought as Yugi, since it was actually Yami. "Speaking of which, I challenge you to a duel, Yugi! I'm grateful of your help, alright, but Duelist is a Duelist no matter what. I want to have a duel with someone who won against Kaiba Seto!".

Yami looked at Ryouta and smirked as well. "I would like to duel you as well, Ryouta." He answered the challenge. Yugi had given his agreement that Yami should be the one who duel Ryouta, so Yami kept his hold over Yugi's body.

Ryouta grinned in answer before he jumped to his feet. "Duel Standby!" He yelled loudly before a Duel Ring rose from the Sea next to the cliff they were on, "Let's duel then." He said with confident smirk on his face.

"Hey! You are that woman from last night, aren't you?!" A voice caught Mai's attention just as she sat herself down on a grassy field. She looked at where the voice was coming from and saw that it was Dinosaur Ryuuzaki, who was smirking confidently at her, "Kujaku Mai, right?".

Mai raised an eyebrow at him, "What do you want?" She asked to the point. She had just finished her duel and was planning on having some rest, so she was a bit annoyed that the boy disturbed her break.

"How about a duel?" Ryuuzaki challenged her with his smirk still on his face, "I heard that you have a unique way of dueling, so I'm interested. Besides, it's a rare chance to duel against someone like me, isn't it?".

"I'm not interested." Mai answered absentmindedly as she showed her gloves, where 8 Starchips could be seen in there, "I only need two more, so I will duel later since I'm taking a break at the moment".

"Gah! 8 already?!" Ryuuzaki gasped in disbelief, "How come you got 8 already while I – the Second Winner of the National Tournament – only managed to get 5 so far?!".

"That means that you're not skillful enough." Mai deadpanned.

"What did you say?!" Ryuuzaki demanded as he felt insulted by what she said just now.

"You're not skillful enough." Mai repeated, "I mean, you only won the Second Place and yet you bragged about it already." She glanced at him coolly, " 'There's always a bigger fish in the Sea', you know?".

Ryuuzaki growled, "If you're so sure of yourself, why not having a duel against me to prove your statement?" He demanded.

"I told you already, I'm taking a break." Mai said in annoyance as she stood up from her sitting position before walking away, "Find someone else".

Ryuuzaki didn't accept it just like that though, for he caught up with her. "I challenge you! You won't run away from a challenge, would you?" He demanded with a smug smirk.

Mai's eyebrow twitched in annoyance before an idea entered her mind. "Fine, I will duel you." She said with a smug smirk on her own as she turned around to face him, "But on one condition".

"And that is?" Ryuuzaki prompted.

"I will only duel you after you duel a friend of mine." Mai told him while crossing her arms, "His name is Jounouchi and he won against me earlier".

"Oh?" Ryuuzaki looked interested, "Someone who won against you?" He humphed as he put his hands into his short's pockets, "Sure, why not? I want to see how good he is".

"Let's go find him then." Mai decided as she began walking again.

"Do you know where you can find this friend of yours?" Ryuuzaki asked as he walked beside her, "I mean, he could be anywhere on this island".

"Don't worry, it's easy to track them down." Mai reassured him before she called out to the nearby Duelist, "Hey! Did any of you see where Yugi went off to?!" They pointed to the sea's direction, so Mai thanked them before leading the way to the sea.

"I see, so this Jounouchi is the blonde one or the brunette one?" Ryuuzaki couldn't help but asked, as he vaguely remembered that there were some people who were with Yugi, when he saw the boy on the ship last night.

"Blonde one." Mai answered and refused to say anything else, so their trip was filled with silence.

They walked for an hour before they arrived at the sea. They could see a group of people at one of the cliff side, with one of them had a gravity defying hair, so they guessed that it was Yugi and his friends. Mai could see that Yugi was dueling against someone at the moment, so she hastened her pace, forcing Ryuuzaki to do the same or he would be left behind.

"Guys!" Mai called out to them once she was within earshot – human earshot, of course, since she was sure that Yugi had heard her coming already.

The group looked at her and welcomed her with a grin on their face. "Mai!" Jou waved at her, they waited until Mai arrived in front of them before Jou continued, "You're early".

Mai smirked and showed her Glove in answer. "I got 8 Star chips already." She said proudly, "My opponents were an easy one compared to Jou".

"That's great, Mai!" Anzu clapped her hands excitedly, "Yugi just won a duel." She told her as she gestured to Yugi, who was talking with Ryouta at the moment, "His opponent was Ryouta Kajiki, a Duelist with a Sea Deck".

"Hee . . ." Mai commented as she watched the two chatted for a bit before looking at Jou, "By the way, I came here because this boy challenged me." She pointed at Ryuuzaki, who smirked once they looked at him, "Since I'm still taking a break at the moment, I told him that I will only duel him after he duel Jou." She grinned at the surprised blond haired boy, "This will be a good chance for you to sharpen your skill as a Duelist, don't you think?".

"Yeah, it is." Yugi – or who Mai thought as Yugi at first, since he looked a bit different than usual – answered her, "The more Jou duels against skilled Duelist, the better he would be".

He must be Yami, The Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle. Mai thought as she looked at the boy more carefully. Earlier, while they were waiting for the start of Duelist Kingdom Tournament, Yugi and the rest explained to Mai about Yami, that was why she knew about The Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle. Meeting face to face with the Spirit like this, Mai could see that he really looked like Yugi, but she could also see the difference easily enough. After all, it would be obvious with the difference between their eye color and shape, so it shouldn't be too hard for her to differentiate Yugi and Yami. "That's why I told him to duel Jou first." Mai explained herself before looking at Jou, "So, are you going to accept this challenge, Jou?".

"But he is strong, right?" Jou was a bit nervous as he looked at Ryuuzaki, who looked back at him with a confident smirk.

"Hey, if you managed to win against me, I'm sure you can win against him." Mai reassured him with a smirk.

"Thanks for the compliment." Jou said with a big grin, feeling reassured now after he got encouragement from Mai.

"So, it's true?" Ryuuzaki asked interestedly, "You won against Mai and her unique trick?".

"Yeah." Jou nodded happily.

"Well, at least you will give me a challenge if we duel against each other." Ryuuzaki said with his eyebrows raised, "So, do you accept to duel me or not?" He asked in challenged.

"Refuse, Jou." Anzu said quickly as she was panicking for a bit, "You can duel him later after you got more experience, his level is still a bit high for the current you".

Jou looked at Yami and Mai, who both smiled at him to show their support for his decision, so he inhaled deeply before looking at Anzu. "No, I will accept his challenge." Jou said firmly before looking at Ryuuzaki, "We bet 2 Star chips." He told Ryuuzaki.

"Okay, we will go to the Duel Ring where we both have advantage. I will have the Wasteland, and you will have the Grassland, correct?" Ryuuzaki asked rhetorically with a smirk, "I have one condition though, I don't want our audience to give you any advice".

"What?!" Honda and Anzu gasped together, "That would be too hard for Jou!" They protested.

"No." Yugi interrupted them – he had taken his body over while they were focusing on Ryuuzaki, since he needed to say something about the condition from Ryuuzaki. "I agree with him." He said with serious face before looking at Jou, "If I always giving you advices during your duel, then you will never become stronger. If you want to be a true Duelist, then you have to duel on your own. We're still going to cheer on you to keep your spirit up, but I won't give you any advice".

Jou gulped but nodded, "Okay, I understand." He said before inhaling deeply, he looked at Ryuuzaki, "Let's go to the Duel Ring then." he said with determined face.
