Ultrabross's Vision
CHP54: On the Lookout
Hours passed with the guards scouring much of the premises but nothing! The vampire and Karate master of Yokai academy managed to escape. No one was more disappointed than Ultrabross himself! Such a feat within his own base of operation was completely unacceptable. Most the base was still under heavy surveillance in case they so happened to still be within the castle. Ultrabross had yet to look over all the security and surveillance footage. There were so many routes they could have taken from the specific hall, would be difficult to assume where they might have made their escape. He had some people looking things over but hadn't found anything yet.
Something else that had come to his attention, the escape of one inmate, that so happened to be one of the travelers. The one in which successfully eliminated a couple of his upgraded hollows. Akua and Haiji were at large and needed to be found ASAP. Regardless neither of the two was a threat far as the king was concerned, not with all the fire power at his disposal. And with Ichigo included didn't worry about a thing. It wasn't much longer till the next phase of things kicked off and looked forward to it.
Something else brought to his attention and probably the most disturbing news of the day was the escape of a singular prisoner. Such a feat had never been accomplished under his rule and at his own base only made it just that much more a stinger. The Dark Knight was a little more than intriguing but his escape wouldn't put a hamper on the king's plans whatsoever so didn't worry much about it either. However trust was somewhat an issue. Ultrabross couldn't quite wrap his mind around the idea the prisoner was able to escape without some sort of assistance. The succubus Aensland came to mind, but wouldn't point fingers till he looked things over in depth himself.
"Sir you wanted to see me?" Feyaglia questioned entering through the doorway.
"Yes indeed, I've already spoken with Qisk about the next phase which I'd like the two of you to lead. I will also be making my way to the human world shortly after you all. In the meantime I want you to go and fetch the vampire, it is time she learned her role in this all."
"Which is?"
"You shall soon find out my dear." Ultrabross replied.
Feyaglia bowed before taking to the exit. Ultrabross was very secretive and wondered just what the final stages would bring. From what she knew of her master and had been one of his right hand people from the beginning, was convinced nobody knew. His overall plans were a mystery to everyone but himself. Feyaglia wasn't the only one curious as to what the king had planned, but all had to play the waiting game.
Body rolling about and even twitching somewhat, Yukari's eyes shot open jumping to her feet. The room was dark but still enough light to see around. It took nearly a minute before the events of what happened came back to her in an instant.
"Ruby-san and Mizore-chan!"
She looked around the dark space but was more than evident neither was present. That in mind contemplated what might have become of them. However seeing as she was kept alive meant the others were probably as well. If anything worried about Moka and what the enemy might do to her and also what became of Tsukune. There was the possibility he was no longer alive, but eliminated that thought just as quickly as it came to the forefront. Eventually she would receive some sort of confirmation what happened.
Still even with things as they were didn't worry much, it would get her nowhere. Spotting a bed over in a corner of the room moved across the cement surface sitting atop it. Within a single of his hidden facilities Ultrabross sat silently awaiting Feyaglia's return, chin positioned in the palm of his hands. He waited nearly five minutes before they stepped through the open doorway.
"Is there anything else I can do for you sir?" Feyaglia asked.
"No, you've done enough. Leave us, I'd like to speak with Akashiya in private."
"Yes, of course." Feyaglia bowed before exiting out closing the door shut as she did.
"What do you want!?" Moka inquired.
"That's the first thing that comes out of your mouth? Not even a hello or how are you doing...pssshh manners are so hard to come by these days."
Moka paid his comments no attention, leaning against a wall with crossed arms. He stood from the seat pacing back and forth and based on his expression was clear the king was in deep thought. This went on for a little over a minute before stopping in place looking directly at Moka.
"It's funny how things work sometimes, how things happen and shift plans. Some years ago thought I lost out. But then became aware of you, and the dream lived on." Ultrabross smirked.
"What the hell are you blabbing about?" Moka questioned.
Her body posture and stance didn't shift even the slightest.
"You really have no clue do you? Ha, what am I even saying of course you don't. At the end of the day doesn't matter but I'll go right ahead and explain it to you anyway. You're basically a fill in, yes it was your mother that captivated my interest. But unfortunately the incident some years ago involving the king of vampires supposedly wiped her out."
"What the hell did you want with my mother and what does any of this have to do with me?" The vampire asked.
"To take her as my bride of course."
"What!"
Ultrabross laughed at her response.
"That's exactly what I mean my dear! What point is there to having so much power and a kingdom without someone at my side? A king isn't complete without his queen. Yes, I very well planned on adding Bloodriver to my throne, but as is...you will do just fine in her place."
"You're insane! Go screw yourself, never going to happen!" Moka declared.
The king let out yet another laugh.
"I knew you'd say somethings like that, and as of now might feel that way and are in denial but that'll soon change."
"Do your worst, I'll never concede to something so disturbing!"
"Disturbing, oh you hurt my feelings. Such a huge statement, but soon you will be eating your own words. You really don't have a choice in the matter, either you do as I say or can't guarantee the safety of your friends." Ultrabross informed.
"Yur bluffing." Moka said.
"Am I now," Ultrabross advanced toward her. She took only a step back, reminded she was already against a wall. He took hold of her chin with two fingers, forcing the vampire to look up at him, "You don't want to test me my dear."
She stepped off to the side slapping him. The king took a step or two back rubbing at the sore area. Slowly stepping away grinned looking the opposite direction of her, situating both hands in his pockets.
"Quite defiant, but wouldn't have expected anything else from you. This sort of behavior will not be tolerated, especially not from the woman that'll be my future wife."
"You're delusional." Moka replied.
In one snap of a finger, the king's guards entered the room, "Take her back to her quarters, I want her out of my presence this instant."
"Yes sir." One replied.
Moka was escorted out of the room by three guards, choosing not to fight back. Ultrabross stood in silence for several moments before someone entered through one of the side doors. Slightly gazing over his shoulder at the Feyaglia who slowly approached.
"Hate to eavesdrop, but I overheard your conversation somewhat."
"Please, have a seat." Ultrabross said turning and facing her.
She did just that, sitting in the nearest chair. He rubbed his hands together before pacing back and forth deep in thought. Feyaglia wondered just what was on his mind. Of all people she had met or worked with through her time was one of the most difficult to figure. There was no telling what went on inside the King's mind half the time.
"As you know I am one that doesn't do anything without planning ahead. Tell me my dear, what is power without longevity? Simply put my future cannot completely be fulfilled until one final step, or stage. However you choose to think of it."
"What are you getting at sir?"
"Akasha Bloodriver was a special individual."
"Akasha who?" Feyaglia questioned with a raised eye brow.
"The mother of Moka. As you know vampires possess great regenerative cells and because of their overall makeup have a much longer life expectancy than most creatures. But Akasha in particular possessed the ultimate vampire bloodline, that of the shinso. Of course that blood runs through her daughter's veins as well and soon through mine!"
Feyaglia somewhat bit at her tongue questioning if she heard the king correctly.
"Wooohh, wooohhh hold on a sec...what!"
"Do not be alarmed, I don't expect you or anyone else to understand. There is a ritual and only through marriage can the process succeed. Yes the ritual in question will give me the lifespan needed to see my vision through and then some. Afterwards well...I will no longer have any use for Akashiya Moka."
"What are you saying..."
"I will dispose of the vampire and all her friends after the deed is done. Hhhmm, will no longer have use for a single of them. For now however must keep them around for negotiating purposes. The ritual will be unsuccessful without the vampire's consent and cooperation. This conversation stays between us, understood?! The less that knows, the better. Well at least for now. When it is all said and done will have the abilities of both a hollow, vampire and of course my own dark magic." Ultrabross informed.
"Yessir." Feyaglia nodded standing from her seat.
There were so many questions she wanted to ask, and clarity/explanation of the ritual in question. She'd never heard of such a thing. Even so tried not to think much of it knowing she'd find out in due time. She bowed before exiting out of the door heading down the hall. There was still much to do before their invasion of earth and ultimate showdown between the Gotei Thirteen. Ultrabross hadn't officially announced it yet, but would likely soon.
During their separation escaping from Ultrabross's guards, Haiji never relocated with Akua. He hoped she wasn't captured, and especially worried about Yukari and the others. Ichigo was hopefully with them, and if that was the case should make it ok. Still there was also the fact it had been hours and hadn't seen or heard anything. The idea of it all was troubling but didn't want to give up hope, well at least not yet.
There was still a chance they'd escaped as he did and were hiding out somewhere. Well at least that's what he kept telling himself. At that time there was no true way of knowing. It was a bad situation all around and didn't have the means of returning to the Yokai realm on his own. It didn't help in the slightest he was trapped in unfamiliar territory and knew little to nothing about the enemy. Taking a deep breath looked to a nearby forest, electing to head out that way. He had little to no options as where to rest, and would at least provide hidden shelter away from the enemy.
Inside the castle Moka sat atop the bed in a room someone might compare to a luxury sweet hotel. She almost wanted to march around and smash everything that was present inside the room. Who was he to claim she would be his wife giving her no choice. There was no way she'd go through with it and would rather die than give herself up to him. There was nothing she wanted more than to get her fingers around his throat and choke him out. Staring up at the wall eventually fell back over the sheets, her eyes closing shortly afterward.
