Ultrabross's Vision
CHP60: Ready for Battle
Akua was thrown into a dark cold cell, with a concrete surface and no carpeting. It was nowhere near the scenery in comparison to the sweet inn type environment Moka was held in. Just as any other prisoner she tried escaping but had no luck. Excluding for the dim light coming from the ceiling, the entire space was dark and the only other light provided was the bit that came from beneath the entrance door.
She gave up trying to escape as it soon became apparent there was no way out. Her cell was powered by and surrounded by a special magical barrier so rendered her abilities to go intangible useless. She received an electrical shock whenever she attempted to do so and at that point began running out of options. The vampire had no idea what Ultrabross wanted with Moka or what the king planned, and the thought irritated her. All she wanted was for Moka to be safe and happy but never imagined she'd end up in such a situation when making the trip from the Yokai realm.
Tsukune was equally as uneasy inside his cell and couldn't stay seated. He paced back and forth with both hands in his pockets and completely lost track of time. It had been that was since he was first imprisoned. He felt for certain he'd lose his mind if things continued the way they had been. It was no different inside the prison cells of Kurumu, Mizore, Yukari and everyone else. Everyone worried not only about Moka, but each other as well. Kurumu received a small briefing from Morrigan but since then she hadn't heard anything.
Just as the others Moka was locked up, but her environment much more pleasant. The vampire sat atop the bed with her legs situated together and was somewhat curled in a ball. So much went through her mind, but nothing more so than the academy and all her friends. She longed for things to go back to the way they were and prayed they'd all make it through alive. She also thought back to what Ultrabross said and felt sick to her stomach.
"There's no way...I'll marry him!" She thought silently and bit down at her tongue.
Inside the training facility members of the king's prime units faced off against each other in preparation for the upcoming battle. An individual standing at 5'11 with short purple hair, black eyes, clad in brown armor, gray boots and gloves equipped with two sheathed swords eyed his opponent. She stood at 5'5, short blond hair, brown eyes, green high knee boots, gray skirt and white blouse with a dark black jacket left open. Qisk jumped into a fighting stance and stretched out his neck. Jascar watched him carefully as she moved a strand of hair from her face. It was merely a training exercise but that didn't mean they fought with less intensity than in a real battle.
Before either could begin another of Ultrabross's underlings entered the facility. The individual stood off to the side of Jascar and Qisk, in which both bit back at his presence.
"Tasiun..." Qisk whispered.
Others throughout the room shared similar expressions. He was considered the most powerful warrior in the establishment and was 2nd only to Ultrabross.
"Long time no see huh?" Jascar said nervously.
Tasiun looked back and forth between them and then over at some of the individuals standing off to the side.
"All of you," His eyes closed, "Against me."
Tasiun stood at 6'6, wearing a white trench coat hood combination with a black like ninja mask over his mouth, tan colored skin, black boots and dark brown body armor. Most the group looked around at each other before all eyes fell back on him.
"Come on you can't really be serious, you just returned from a long mission shouldn't you rest up? And besides you can't really think you'd take on us all. A lot has happened since your departure, have you even spoke with Ultra-sama?" Qisk implied.
Tasiun remained silent with his eyes closed.
"Well," Sister Day took a step forward, "Wouldn't that be a little unfair? Qisk is right you can't possibly defeat us all."
"What little Miss Day is trying to say is we'd take you down with medium difficulty," Jascar looked over her shoulder at Sister Day who nodded.
"We've improved in the past couple months." Qisk added.
Vixy Bloom kept quiet and decided not to involve herself. Qisk looked around at everyone before his eyes fell back on Tasiun.
"Heck I'd even go off on a limb and say I'd defeat you alone!"
A couple chuckles were heard throughout the room following his comment.
"So what do yah say? You verse me!" Qisk cracked his knuckles.
Tasiun was silent for a dozen moments before his bright purple eyes opened.
"All of you against me," He looked around at the entire group, "I'd end anyone of you in mere seconds alone."
"Why you!" Qisk marched forward but was grabbed from behind.
He realized it was Jascar and pulled away from her.
Qisk darted out toward Tasiun. With blinding speed Tasiun disappeared out of his view. Without any of them realizing, he re appeared in front of Jascar backhanding her! Her body soared up high into the ceiling as she fell to the ground KO'd.
"One down, four to go. Perhaps I should slow the pace to keep things fair," He looked around, "Who'd like to go next?"
At top speed Brother Night positioned his hands out in front of him shooting black and white cards. Tasiun dodged all of them except for one that nicked his right elbow. As much as he wanted to go all out, it was just a training exercise. Vixy Bloom got involved summoning numerous tentacles from the floor beneath them. One successfully wrapped around his leg bringing him down, as others wrapped around his body.
None noticed Morrigan enter the room. She found a place to sit hoping not to disrupt the session. The tentacles lifted Tasiun upside down, as Vixy Bloom slowly approached with a chuckle.
"Yup, don't be deceived by the way I look I'm very much as dangerous as the others. You talked such a big game that I became a little nervous."
"Very nice Vixy-chan but not today sweat heart." He said breaking free of the tentacles using a spinning attack with a red aura around his body.
Tasiun landed on his feet, and head butted Vixy! She fell to the ground unconscious.
"This isn't a place for little girls, now that leaves only three of you," He looked to the remaining group rubbing his hands together, "I expected your team effort would have improved since my absence. What I'm seeing is a bunch of cattle running around clueless."
"Shut up!" Qisk shouted scurrying forward.
He uncovered one of his blades and swung it around trying to connect with Tasiun's flesh. Sister Day quickly joined and positioned herself behind Tasiun. Brother Night activated his shadow form running at Tasiun! Qisk continued swinging his blade, whereas Sister Day pulled out a bright silver bow and fired golden arrows at his backside. He eluded the projectiles and leaped upward. Her attack instead hit Brother Night! She screamed with a hand to her mouth.
"You fools are making this way to easy hahahaha!" Tasiun chuckled.
Morrigan watched from afar and couldn't help but grin.
"My kind of guy." She whispered.
A loud alarm ended the session as each and every one of them were summoned to Ultrabross's quarters through an intercom. Feyaglia was the first of everyone to arrive in the king's quarters and situated within a far corner of the room. The next couple minutes were overly quiet as one commander after another arrived with Reflectus being the last of them. Ultrabross made his appearance from out of a back room and paced with his arms situated behind his back.
"Things have gone as planned and we shall commence our attack on the Gotei Thirteen. As of the moment they're undoubtedly planning and plotting their attack against us. But there was a reason I instructed you to give them the Triodred." Ultrabross insisted.
"Triodred, do you mean the sphere shaped object?" Reflectus inquired.
"Precisely," Ultrabross grinned, "I'm sorry to have kept you all in the dark on my true intentions, but it is time you know the next phase of my plan. The Gotei Thirteen are under the impression they have two days to prepare and will meet on our home field. And yes, home field advantage is always a real treat but there's nothing quite like the element of surprise."
"What're you implying Ultra-sama?" Jascar questioned.
"My dear, I'm talking about an ambush! By now they hold Triodred in their possession and with that infiltrating the seireite will be a piece of cake. Previously it would have been a most difficult task indeed, especially given their barriers but that's no longer an issue."
Qisk coughed clearing his throat.
"Did you consider that by now they've deduced this fact? The Gotei Thirteen are quite the knowledgeable bunch."
"Doubtful, not with the amount of time that's passed. As of now they're likely working and trying to find what they can on me, information in which they will not fine. Ready your people and underlings, our invasion of the seireite commences in an hour. Our objective is not to destroy them...well not yet. I just want them beaten, battered and crippled. I am a ritual short of full power, but that does not matter. We're plenty powerful enough to do what we need to."
Each of his lieutenants listened to the last of his instructions before exiting out in preparation for the trip. Ultrabross paced back and forth and could hardly wait.

The steamy water was refreshing over his body and situated his hands against the wall. What remained of the soap and shampoo trailed down his back and splattered over the tub's surface. In the next couple minutes he stepped out and dried off with a towel. There was no time to rest with everything that was at stake, and no one understood that more than him. He'd fought many wars before and defeated the impossible, so he was more than prepared for whatever the new enemy had in stored for them.
He stepped in front of a specific clock and used it to gain entry into a hidden cave and made his way down the staircase. He clicked on all the main lights as he reached the bottom of the steps and immediately entered into a back room. He emerged shortly after in full armor and took a seat in front of a massive computer screen. By way of voice command he started up the computer and sat back for some moments waiting for it to start up. He wasted little time opening a specific file/folder and maximized it over the screen.
"This is all of it here, everything I gathered on the hollows I encountered. It would take some time to go through it all so we'll skip ahead to what's important."
The dark knight clicked and opened a specific file.
"As I said before, my tech and weaponry were unable to lay even a scratch on the beasts. I did however manage to nab a sample off one, and though my equipment here wasn't much help I turned to alien technology. With that I managed to whip up something to combat against them. The first attempt was completed in a mere three days but lacked the density to put them down for good. Within about a week the formula was completed and I symphonized the perfect blast to neutralize their cells and dispose of them completely."
"Impressive, but I do wonder about the energy source. What did you use to power the beam?" An individual standing off to his left questioned.
Batman stood from the computer chair and walked across the room. The other watched him closely never taking his eyes off him. He unlocked a steel case and returned with a shiny gold object.
"On first glance it looks like a strangely shaded rock, and if it is it's not of this world. This here is what I used to power the cannon beam. This is just a small fragment of it, the rest is stored safely and another small portion installed inside the bat plane's weapons system." Batman dropped the item in the hands of the individual opposite of him.
He looked it over flipping it all around and inspecting it closely. Even he hadn't seen anything quite like it before.
"Where did you get something like this?"
"My battles aren't just limited to this city and this world has faced various threats. I work alongside powerful beings and we do what we can to keep the world safe and combat against any threats that surface. Some of those enemies traveled from others worlds and in the process foreign objects are left behind," Batman pointed to the purple item, "Such as that."
The one opposite of him shook his head and handed the item back to the cape crusader. Batman returned the item to the small storage compartment and took a seat in front of the computer screen. The other stood off to the side of the chair and glimpsed at the screen. Each was taken off guard as they perceived footsteps from a far corner of the cave and a lone individual appeared from the darkness.
"Thought I heard voices and when the alarms sounded I figured it must have been you. Very good to see you sir, for a little while I thought something might have happened. But I thought I heard you talking to someone else, but it doesn't appear there's anyone else."
"Good evening to you as well Alfred, but I won't be staying long. I'm only back to reequip and ready myself for an upcoming battle."
"Upcoming battle? Is there something I missed?"
Batman repositioned in his chair and looked directly at Alfred.
"Those things I've battled over the past weeks are known as hollows. I've just recently gathered this information and it turns out there's something larger at work behind the scenes. A man by the name Ultrabross, or rather a king has been pulling the strings. His plans our not only to rule this world, but several others."
"Oh dear, that sounds quite troubling sir."
The dark knight stood from the computer chair.
"I'm heading out now and I'm uncertain when I'll return. There isn't a whole lot of time for explanation so we'll hold off on that."
"I don't think I quite follow."
"This enemy is in a parallel universe to our own and we're going to take the fight to him." Batman replied.
"We, do you mean the league?"
"No. I've gathered new allies more or less...it's complicated. The less you know the better," Batman looked to an area off to his left, "I'm ready whenever you're Kisuke."
Alfred raised an eyebrow.
"Kisuke, sir?"
"A death god Alfred. He's standing here beside me." Batman informed.
The butler and comrade of Batman gazed at the section beside him curiously and even blinked a couple times.
"But sir...there isn't anyone there."
"I figured as much. Death god's and hollows aren't visible to mortal individuals such as ourselves but I guess I'm an exception." Batman replied.
"How so?" Alfred asked.
"Don't know, and right now it's the least of my worries. As I said I'm uncertain of when I'll return, and until this threat is eliminated I won't return."
A bright vortex took shape a couple feet from where Batman stood and Kisuke was the first to step through as Batman slowed.
"I'll be back." Batman gazed over his shoulder.
The light died down as Batman passed through and left Alfred completely confused. He hadn't an idea what to make of Batman's quick return and departure. And then the mention of a death god that was more of a ghost than anything.
"Good luck sir..." Alfred murmured.

Atop the skies of the seireitei something bright formed occupying a large portion of the atmosphere. Electricity followed and a square shaped doorway of energy formed and one after another dozens of individuals dropped through the vortex and hovered within the sky. The portal eventually closed behind them and Ultrabross couldn't believe the sight that awaited them below. The separate units of the Gotei Thirteen stood in separate battle formations down below. Ultrabross couldn't help but chuckle.
"Well, well it would appear I underestimated the Gotei Thirteen," The King looked down at Shunsui Kyōraku of the 8th division, "How long did it take you people to figure the truth about the Triodred?"
Shunsui chuckled somewhat and tipped his hat.
"An invitation to your place made sense. You'd have the advantage on your playing field, and you gave us exactly two days to prepare, but for what? We knew nothing about you or your army...or so you thought." Shunsui's grin widened.
Ultrabross's eyes narrowed and became interested with a smirk of his own.
"Please do elaborate Kyōraku."
"Well where to begin," He coughed clearing his throat, "That box you passed on to us is the reason you've managed to bypass our barriers and security and are standing before us in this capacity. How Kisuke was able to do it I am uncertain, but he forwarded us important information...information that concerned you all." Shunsui pointed to the group.
"Impossible! There's no way in hell Urahara could know anything!"
"But he did," Shunsui grinned, "The box item you passed onto us is called the Triodred correct? Based on the information at our disposal it not only would allow us to travel to your world but would also give you the means to travel here as you have done."
A smirk took shape on Ultrabross's face as he clapped.
"Very nice, very nice indeed. I take it captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri of the thirteenth division is responsible for sorting through all this supposed information?" Ultrabross's eyes fell on Mayuri.
The dark king waited patiently and when he didn't get one he let out a sigh.
"Well then can you tell me one thing," Ultrabross gazed back and forth between the captains and their units, "How did Urahara obtain such info. I'm well aware he is quite the resourceful fellow but he didn't at any time step into my kingdom."
"Irrelevant," Kenpachi spoke up, "Get down here so we can get on with it already!"
"That anxious to die huh?" Ultrabross chuckled.
"We don't know how he got the information," Shinji Hirako of the fifth division voiced, "And even if we did we wouldn't tell you."
The king wore a black body suit which was surrounded by silver armor, gloves and boots. A purple cape hung over his shoulders and blew back and forth.
"Very well, then I don't see why there's any point in delaying further. I'm going to assume you received this information recently, or else you would have pursued my people and I sooner. Regardless of what you know or don't...you cannot stop us."
"Where is Ichigo?!" A woman with shoulder length black hair demanded.
Ultrabross stared at the woman in particular.
"Oh don't worry he will be joining us for the main course Rukia Kuchiki."
Rukia knew she couldn't hold out hope and had to stay strong in front of her comrades. She was after all the captain of division thirteen.
"Hhhhmm, then it is settled we shall begin...but not here. Let's make this interesting shall we."
Ultrabross began chanting something that none of the shinigami were familiar with.
"What is that bastard up to..." Kenpachi uttered under his breath.
Without warning the cube hovered upward from Shunsui's side and glowed various different colors. Each of the Gotei Thirteen members prepared themselves for battle as the light grew brighter and brighter and they were unable to look at it directly.
"Hetsol Relocation." Ultrabross spoke.
The light grew in size and surrounded everyone!
