Chapter 12: Hive
"Then why won't you go ahead and kill me?"
Previously in Fate...
"This would be a great opportunity to cool off, to enjoy... And move on."
"Don't think too much."
"I guess this year's Games would be quite interesting, too."
- ~ ~ ~ -
Domus Flau, Crocus City, Fiore
July 1, X792
The whole city was bustling with the latest updates. Who went in, who were disqualified, who were the likely champions... The Grand Magic Games was the talk of all people within Crocus, mage or not.
"So what do you guys think the first events would be?" Kaze asked, a mischievous grin across his lips.
Anna shrugged. "Who knows? Something similar to last night, perhaps?"
"Poor Coral," Lucy sighed. The rest chuckled. "Too bad she won't be able to join us anymore, right?"
"Yeah, she was pretty bummed out," Shante said.
"'Pretty bummed out' is an understatement. She almost drowned us all in the inn," Kaze said. Memories of last night's horrible incident flooded his mind, making him twitch in annoyance.
"She may still be able to join, though. It depends," Anna mused. The rest only hummed their responses.
As Kaze opened up another conversation, Shante shifted her gaze to her left. The ever-so-silent William only walked on, not paying any attention to whatever they were talking about. She nudged his arm, making him look down at her. "William." She said nothing more than that.
Her commanding tone made him raise a questioning eyebrow. They stared at each other for a long time. Even as they entered the arena, they continued their staring contest. No one bothered to speak nor avert gazes.
A cough did the trick though.
"Are we interrupting something?" Anna teased, her eyes locked on them.
Shante sighed and shook her head. "Nah."
The Crystal Maiden smirked. "If you say so," she shrugged. Turning, she made her way through the arena's hallways and led the team to their assigned spot.
Shante snuck a glance at William. When she managed to catch his eye, she mouthed, "Talk more." William's eyes widened in question. He opened his mouth to speak - say another excuse, perhaps - but nothing came out. The girl stayed quiet, waiting for him to speak. She never got to hear anything though, as the stadium boomed with noise and cheers.
Hearing the audience's shouts and the emcee's greetings, everyone's expressions changed and the atmosphere tensed.
They had no idea who the other teams were. But that only made them more pumped up.
"Ladies and gentlemen! I shall now introduce to you the eighth guilds who have made it through the elimination round!" The familiar voice of last night's emcee blasted through the walls.
"Here goes!" Kaze said, his fists tight with excitement.
"With their hearts full of wild passion, making it in eight place is Quatro Cerberus!"
The audience shouted their immediate reactions. Some cried out the names of the members, while some didn't make any sense.
"You...are a real man."
Lucy's eyes widened at the sudden voice she heard. She looked around, trying to find the source of the sound, but found no one. That voice, she thought. Who was it talking to? I'm a young woman.
"And in seventh place, riding on the wings of the majestic horse, Blue Pegasus enters with one point!" the emcee's voice announced.
"Men! Why emphasize that one point, Mr. Flower?!" A voice, probably from Blue Pegasus' team, complained. His statement made the Guardians laugh. And yes, even Anna and William snickered.
"The next team has made it higher than their previous record! In sixth place with two points, here comes Fairy Tail!"
The audience went wild with cheers, screaming the name of Fairy Tail almost in unison.
Kaze whistled. "Crowd favorite, huh?"
"They only came in sixth?" Lucy questioned, eyes wide.
The young man next to her turned to her, an eyebrow raised. "What's the problem with that?" Kaze asked.
"Well," Lucy paused, then shrugged. "I just kinda expected them to be higher."
"Sixth is high, compared to the hundreds of guilds who came here," Anna said.
Kaze smirked. "But of course, second is higher!"
His self-praise made Lucy punch him in the gut. "Don't get ahead of yourself yet," she scolded.
"In fifth place, possessing the beauty of mythical mermaids, with five points enters Mermaid Heel!"
The voices of the men in the audience went wild, overpowering other voices and cheers. This made Lucy and the rest laugh.
"An all-female guild? There was one?" Shante asked, her eyes turning to Anna for answers.
Anna nodded. "Yeah. I think I worked with them once for a mission not so long ago."
"Heehh." Shante's eyes glimmered in awe.
"You better not think of moving guilds," she heard William hiss near her ear.
She flushed at the sudden close distance between them. She raised a hand to her ear and glared at the young man. "Of course not!"
"For fourth place we have another powerhouse guild! Having six points, we have Lamia Scale!"
"Lamia, huh? I heard they're strong. With one of their members being one of the Ten Wizard Saints," Lucy commented, a finger on her chin.
"Ooh. That's interesting," Kaze smirked.
"And now in our top 3! Our current third placer with seven points, Fairy Tail B!"
If everyone thought the audience couldn't get any more louder, than they were proved wrong. The people cheered much more louder than ever as the second Fairy Tail team entered the arena.
"Huh?!" was the reaction of four of the Guardians in the team. William didn't seem to care.
"That's legal?!" Shante shrieked.
"We should have done the same, too! We could have Negi, Yui, Amy, Tertium, Nanoha-!"
"T-that's overkill, Kaze," Lucy said.
Kaze shot her a pointed look. "But-!" A hand slapped his mouth shut. Beside him, Anna was giving him a cold glare.
"Shut up. We're next." Her tone sent shivers to both Kaze and Lucy.
"Y-yes, Ma'am!" Kaze said with a tiny voice.
"For second place, we have a new contendor! And what is this?! It's their first time in the Grand Magic Games!"
"Yes, yes. I know we're great. We get it." Any trace of fear Kaze had awhile ago was replaced with self-confidence in mere seconds.
"Debuting with eight points, here comes The Guardians!"
Brimming with confidence (Kaze's was practically overflowing), the team marched out of their tunnel. Stepping inside the arena's battlegrounds, their eyes scanned the awed audience and their proud guildmates.
William, as passive as ever, walked on in silence, his eyes level and expression strong.
Shante smiled in excitement, waving to the audience and calling out to her friends in the Guardians' area.
Anna remained calm and collected as she led her team with a notable presence. She caught the Master's eye and gave her a nod, which the Master gave a thumbs-up to in return.
Kaze had both of his arms raised in the air as he waved at his so-called 'fans', sending flying kisses to the screaming girls.
Lucy, eyes gleaming with excitement, waved to the audience. She grinned at everyone in her team, expressing her gratitude and her support.
And then brown eyes met with deep blue.
She didn't know why her eyes always wandered to his. She also didn't feel like averting her gaze. The reason? None in particular. But she also didn't want to keep staring. That blondie thinking that she likes him would be the last thing she wanted right now.
And so she did what she thought was right.
She glared at him as hard as she could.
In return, Sting's eyes widened when he saw the brunette glare at him. Why is she being so hostile and feisty? he probably instead of turning away like she'd want him to, he smirked.
Lucy blushed. Upon realizing that, she forced herself to turn away. Gosh, why the hell did I blush? she scolded herself. The blonde guy's smirk seemed to stir something inside her. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Was it anger? Annoyance?
Memories?
"Luce?" Kaze's voice broke her internal reverie. She snapped her head back to face him.
"Y-yeah?"
Kaze's eyes narrowed, making her gulp. "What's wrong? You're all red."
"Huh?" Just to make sure, she raised her hand to her cheek. Its warmth made her heart beat in panic. Despite that, she replied, "I-it's nothing."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
When Kaze turned away to exchange challenging gazes at the pink-haired Natsu, her eyes wandered to Sting once again.
He was still looking at her. Smirking, even.
She averted her gaze and looked somewhere else, away from his glinting eyes. He must be thinking that I'm starting to like him! Ugh. Cocky bastard.
"Now for the guild you've all been waiting for! Our first placer, with already 10 points in their current record, we have the powerful tigers! Sabertooth!"
The crowd roared as the said team made their grand entrance. Anna looked and examined the Sabertooth team. The woman she saw last night at the elimination rounds caught her eye and smirked at her, piquing her interest. She checked the other four members. There was a blonde man who looked like a minstrel, a big and brawny one with green hair, a black-haired lady with gothic clothing and thick red-colored eyeshadow, and lastly a tall, well-built man with white tattoos and tanned skin.
Her observation stopped when someone tapped her shoulder. She looked to her right to see Shante smiling at her. "You don't have to be so serious. Just relax and enjoy the tournament!" she said with glee.
Anna chuckled a little. "How can you be so carefree?" she remarked with an awed tone.
The other grinned. "'Cause it's the games!" she exclaimed.
As the emcee started announcing the official opening of the Grand Magic Games, the whole stadium burst with loud cheers. Once again, everyone waved to the audience and their fellow guildmates.
The 'Flower MC' coughed, calling everybody's attention. "Alright! Before everything else, I should introduce myself. Everyone, I'm this year's referee, mascot, and emcee, Hana!"
"Why is it a girl's name?" Shante joked.
For some reason, he heard her and stared at her, making her falter.
"Anyway, let's now begin our first event, Hive! Will the eight guilds please choose the representatives and come to the center please?" he announced before disappearing and reappearing at the center of the arena.
While the other guilds began to talk amongst their members and assigning the representatives, Anna turned to her team. "I'll go."
"Eh?!" Kaze reacted.
"But it's too early for you to appear!" Lucy reasoned.
Shante raised her hand. "I'll go instead."
"It's too early for you to appear." William said. The girl mumbled incoherent words under her breath as she stared at him in contempt.
Anna shook her head with a smile on her lips. "No, I'll go. It's fine. It's better to start everything with a sure victory and set our team's morale and momentum, right?"
"I-I guess that's right..." Lucy mused. She's already confident she's going to win.
Kaze protested. "But I want to-"
"Well since there's no more contradictions I'll go ahead," Anna interrupted the mage, making him stare at her hard. She ignored him though and turned around, not forgetting to wave behind her at her team.
After she left, Lucy grabbed Kaze's collar and dragged him off as she and the rest of the team went to their assigned balcony.
"Now here are the eight representatives!" Hana began. "Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus! Toby Horhorta of Lamia Scale! Arania Web of Mermaid Heel! Yeager of Quatro Cerberus! Fairy Tail's Mirajane Strauss and Rogue Cheney! Anna Crystalline of The Guardians! And Sabertooth's Terressa Vienne!"
Said participants gathered around him while studying each other as the emcee glanced at each of them. After several seconds, he snapped his fingers. Hexagons appeared under the mages and transferred them to specific places in the arena. Soon after, the arena's floor turned yellow and was filled with hexagon shapes of many sizes. Walls with yellow substances oozing out of it rose from the ground, separating the mages into different rooms and sections.
Hana, who has somehow teleported to his podium near the judges and commentators, began to speak. "Let me explain this event called Hive! As you can see, the arena has transformed into a beehive with sticky honey all over!"
At this, some of the mages touched the nearby walls and floors, testing out his statement.
"There are magical constructs inside which consists of the weakest male bees, then the soldier bees, and then the strongest bee, the Queen. Everyone has been provided brown jars-"
Anna looked down at her feet in surprise to see the said brown jar.
"-where you will store 'honey'. This 'honey' are yellow lacrima covered in sticky, yellow ooze and distinguishable by their shiny look. These 'honey' appear after defeating each bee: one for a male bee, three for a soldier, and five for a Queen. The objective is simple. The one who would gather the most honey is the winner of the event! Now, let the game begin!"
The sound of a gunshot rang throughout the stadium and everyone in the arena cheered as the participants made their move.
Anna walked out onto the passage nearest her place. Two bees, each approximately Coral's size, caught her eye. Are these male or soldier? she thought. The striped, yellow-black bees rushed towards her with their stingers ready, silver wings glistening in the Hive's yellow light. Anna stretched an arm out, forming a crystal spear twice her height. She grabbed the spear and threw it at the two bees with remarkable accuracy, piercing through both at the same time.
The magical creations vanished and two round orbs dropped onto the floor. Just two. So they were male. Anna walked closer to pick it up and put it in her jar, slightly cringing at its sticky covering. She turned around and was met with another male bee with two soldiers, their bigger wings and zig-zag stripe patterns flaunting more power than the male between them.
The Crystal Guardian sighed, unfazed. She stomped one foot forward and crystal pillars rose from the floor, destroying the three adversaries. Seven 'honey' dropped onto the floor and she picked it up right away.
Just then someone broke through the walls, bringing with him five disintegrating male bees. "Wild!" he screamed as he moved to pick up the five fallen lacrima.
But Yeager was interrupted by crystal spears raining down on him from all directions. He glared at Anna before charging towards her. "Why you-!"
Anna dodged his attack, created a crystal staff, and used it to send him to the wall. While he recovered, Anna moved towards his five lacrima. She ignored it though and moved to the exit. There's no need to steal these.
A battle cry from behind caused her to pause. "Wild-!"
"Beautiful Dagger." Crystal shards pelted Yeager and pinned him to the floor, unconscious.
He'll wake up later. Anna scoffed. Now to find the Queen. The Crystal Maiden continued down the hallway, her senses alert for nearby enemies.
"Who's that woman?"
"She's strong."
"Is that crystal?!"
Lucy smiled as she heard the numerous compliments her comrade received from the audience. Her eyes scanned the lacrima visions until her eyes spotted a raven-haired man. He was familiar, yet at the same time, a stranger. Confused, she tilted her head and squinted at the lacrima screen where he was being shown. Wasn't he part of Sabertooth? She's pretty sure he was supposed to look scarier, unapproachable.
She dug her thoughts, surprising herself when she recalls him with a different team, along with that annoying blonde fairy. She looked over to the noisy Fairy Tail A, noting how even the Blondie has a different outfit from what she saw in her mind. Why are they in Fairy Tail now, again?
Wait. How would she know?
And where did she even get all these images?
Suddenly, more images floated into her mind. A stone wall. A black-haired man with iron piercings. His smirk that sent chills down her spine.
"The rulers of spirit? What a joke! I'm not scared of you at all!"
"You don't start yelling or there's going to be trouble."
"Then why don't you try killing me?"
Was that...her? But when? Who was that guy?
Her gaze wandered lazily around the arena seats. It wasn't as if she was expecting to see him - or someone similar - in this same place, but who knows? She chuckled to herself, but froze upon seeing the same person across them, in Fairy Tail B's balcony. He was dressed differently, but the piercings, the scowl...
Lucy tore her gaze away before he could sense it. She swallowed and shook her head. "...nah. I'm imagining things again. Maybe it's just... a different person. Yeah, it's a different person," she whispered to herself in an attempt to shrug off her...thoughts.
There's just no way these were memories. Right?
In the Hive, several magic explosions occured from one place then another. The point counter constantly beeped with gained and lost points. The lacrima vision shifted its focus to the battle between a white-haired demon and a gothic swordswoman.
Kaze gasped dramatically, pointing at the demon sending black orbs of magic power towards her enemy. "Is that the same woman we saw yesterday? The white-haired one?" he exclaimed.
"Um. Uh." Lucy stammered, quite surprised herself, both because of Kaze breaking her internal reverie and because of the aformentioned woman. "I-I guess? I'm pretty sure she was a really strong and scary wizard ever since, though," she blurted out without thinking, the words spilling out as if on impulse.
Kaze and Shante stared at her in confusion. Shante tilted her head and opened her mouth to ask, "Really? How did you know?" Kaze kept quiet, staring at her with unreadable emotions swimming in his eyes.
Lucy's eyes widened as she caught herself. Why did she say that? How would she have known? Her brain scrambled to think of an excuse. An obvious one. "I-isn't it obvious enough? I mean, she looks scary. And strong. Like, the kind of strength only gained after a lot of, um, t-training. And time. And experience," she blabbered. Her face was pink and flustered, clearly showing her discomfort.
Sensing that, Shante sent her a smile and decided not to question it any further. As Lucy turned to face the lacrima visions again, the Ace spared a glance towards Kaze who was already looking at the blonde apprehensively. Near her, William was seated on a chair, his eyes closed and aura uncaring. Walking and looking over their balcony's railing, she positioned herself again to watch the event. Using a spell, though, she sent a private telepathic message to Kaze's mind.
(Let's just forget about that for now and continue giving our support for Anna.)
Kaze jolted, as if the message knocked him out of a trance. He caught a tiny discreet glance from Shante, but it was so quick he thought he might have imagined it. Shaking his head, he forced all thoughts regarding Lucy out of his head and faced the arena. He managed a grin, brought his hands up near his mouth, and shouted.
"Hurry up and knock them off their asses, Anna!"
"You do know she won't hear you, right?"
"I know, Luce. Just hoping she'll feel the love."
Eight soldier bees dropped to the floor in front of a certain white-haired female demon. The equivalent number of honey appeared next to the pile. Said woman picked them up and placed them inside her designated jar.
"Twenty-one, twenty-four..." she counted. "This makes it twenty-eight."
"That's quite a lot. I hope you wouldn't mind if I borrow all of that."
Feeling somebody's presence behind her, Mirajane spread her wings, held her jar close, and somersaulted into the air. She narrowed her eyes at the newcomer, studying her gothic clothing and peculiar amount of red eyeshadow. "You're a Saber. right?" she inquired.
"Yo, Teressa Vienne here, Fairy Demon Mirajane," the woman sneered, resting her katana lazily on her shoulder. "So how about it? Mind lending me those honey you've got?"
"I'm sorry but I have to decline."
"Ehh," the woman drawled, her expression morphing from that of amusement to a scowl. "Then I guess I'll have to steal it from you!" She lowered her body into a fighting stance before disappearing. In a split second, she appeared behind Mirajane with her katana ready to slice her head off.
Mirajane dropped her jar to the ground, then grabbed Teressa's sword with her right hand. She punched the other mage's stomach with the other, sending the Saber mage crashing into the nearby wall. With a hand outstretched, Mirajane gathered dark energy into a ball in front of her left hand, aiming for Teressa. "Demon Blast!"
Black, dark matter burst outwards from the ball towards the Saber. The latter gasped in shock and covered her face with an arm, a feeble attempt to block. A crash resounded in the huge room amidst the rumble of Mirajane's attack.
A few seconds passed and the attack finished. Mirajane lowered her left arm, her other one already grasping her "honey" jar tightly. While the dust still hasn't cleared, she turned and made her way out, only to be stopped by a low growl.
"Not so fast, missy."
Mirajane barely caught on the sound of a sword slicing through the air for a split-second before gasping in pain. A purple cut appeared along her back. The rest of Teressa's slash continued past her and hit the wall in front of her, causing it to crumble slightly.
Wincing at the pain, Mirajane turned to face Teressa - face-to-face. The Saber, though slightly charred and bruised, smirked before delivering a roundhouse kick to the demoness's abdomen, sending her flying towards the slightly-broken wall.
"Come on, where's the fighting spirit from earlier?" she taunted as she made her way to her. She poised her katana in front of her, before smirking. "It wouldn't hurt to borrow even just a-"
The cloud of dust opened, a slight gust of wind passed by, and a dark, purple hand gripped her head from behind - all within a second.
"Stop yapping and do your own work."
Mirajane karate-chopped Teressa's nape with her free hand, the blow strong enough for the Saber to fall unto the ground, unconscious. Her katana fell alongside her, sticking itself into the ground. Mirajane bent down to pick up her jar that she dropped near her feet.
"That was fast."
The she-demon looked to her right to see Rogue walking in the room with a slight smirk on his face - so tiny it seemed to disappear after a split-second. Mirajane blinked, but then returned his comment with a smirk of her own.
"Well, I have many more bees to slay, and a queen to hunt."
Suddenly, tension filled the air between them. No one dared to make a move. Though they are from the same guilds, in this arena they are from different teams. To say that there is a little, tiny rivalry going on is straying - but not really - close to home.
Mirajane made the first move, turning her body around to face him. "How many do you have?" she asked in a light tone.
Rogue stared at her for a few moments before answering, "Eighteen. Six soldiers."
Mirajane blinked before tilting her head slightly, a confused and at the same time amused expression on her face. "You're sure taking your sweet time."
The brunette Dragon Slayer's eyebrow twitched at the slightest, the reaction so small no one would be able to notice the difference. He didn't miss the slight mocking tone in her remark. But instead of retorting, he stayed silent and shrugged.
The she-demon smiled, this time with no hidden malice. "Well, I better get going, wouldn't want to waste time." She turned around and made her way towards the room's nearest exit, but not before titlting her head back and glancing at him. "Don't expect me to take it easy on-"
A loud crash interrupted her statement. A huge four-winged beast broke into the room, creating a large gaping hole in the wall and large amounts of slimy, yellow and brown debris to fly in all directions. Within the billowing dust cloud, a tall silhouette of a woman with long hair can be seen walking into the room. The beast howled and shrieked aloud, the sound a combination of an insect's and a monster's dying wail.
Mirajane and Rogue realized with a start, as they observed the wrangling beast's wings, size, and eyes, that the being was the Queen. They shared a short glance before making their move, their hands poised to attack. But they never did so much as take a step before a huge, thick, crystal spear pierced through the bee, thereby ending its agony.
Anna emerged from what's left of the cloud of dust. Her long, lavender hair trailed along behind her as she took confident strides towards her prey. Her eyes never left the queen bee sprawled out on the floor, not even sparing a glance towards the other two - including the unconscious one - in the room. She pulled the spear out in a fluid motion, as if rehearsed. The giant bee slowly disintegrated, its wings and body and eyes disappearing into yellow square particles. As she bent down to pick up the five sticky, yellow orbs left at the bee's wake, she finally took notice of the other mages.
"Ah." Her gaze flittered alternately between them for a few seconds before returning to the orbs in her hand. "Too bad." The other two only stared at her, awe, amusement, and interest swimming within their features. Since she received no reaction, she closed her eyes and shrugged. Without another word, Anna stood up. As she made her way to the exit to her left, the walls and the floor - everything - flashed red.
Hana's enthusiastic voice resounded within the Hive. "The Queen has been defeated!" Almost immediately after, a huge swarm of bees, male and soldier, poured into the room. "Mages, you have-"
The bees' eyes glowed red. Their wings buzzed. They crossed their stingers, making the sound of steel and steel as they sharpened each other.
"-three minutes left."
The huge riotous swarm of bees flew towards the mages.
"Shadow Dragon's..." Rogue lowered himself and placed a foot behind him. "Roar!" A black mass of shadows and force left his throat, pummeling two soldier bees and throwing one off-course. Rogue shifted to attack it as it flew towards-
A straight, horizontal slash cut the bee in half. "Don't you dare throw me out of the picture, you punks," the now up-and-conscious Teressa hissed. Two more soldiers and three males flew towards her. She growled. "How annoying." After a flair of sword slashes and strikes - all these within a few seconds - the attacking bees disintegrated into yellow dust.
Rogue supressed an eye-roll before proceeding to take on his next prey.
Mirajane flew from bee to bee, clawing through their bodies one by one. Bees fell to the ground and vanished one after another.
Brandishing a new crystal spear, Anna stood rooted to her spot, stabbing and slashing at the bees heading towards her.
Then, just as sudden as it started, every bee's movement stopped. Rogue halted midway through slashing across a soldier bee; Teressa held her stance just as she slashed through five males; Mirajane paused and looked up, her hand still within a soldier bee; Anna froze after skewering two male bees and one soldier with her spear.
"Halt!" Hana's voice chimed in once again. After he spoke, all bees disintegrated, leaving behind the appropriate amount of honey lacrima. On each of the orbs were the name of the mages it belonged to, the glowing writing scrawled in neat, beautiful, yellow script.
All mages shuffled to get their designated orbs and placing it inside their jars. After all orbs have been picked up, they looked at each other. No one said anything.
A loud, high-pitched ding rang out all over the Hive and arena. Slowly, the walls disintegrated from top to bottom. As they did, all mages in the event looked for each other. Yellow hexagon tiles appeared once again at their feet and brought them to the center, where Hana teleported to. During their transportation, the jars they held in their hand lit up and floated to a white circle above the flower emcee. The tiles stopped moving once all participants were gathered around Hana. Guild insignias appeared in the white circle as each hexagon tile with their corresponding participant dinged before disappearing.
Every spectator and participant looked up at the white circle as it morphed into a rectangle. Breaths were held as the results were shown one by one, starting from the bottom and slowing down once nearing the top.

Next time on Fate...
Curious, Lucy crept closer in order to recognize the man. A soft, whispered voice almost knocked her off balance.
"Happy birthday, Luce."
She froze. The place was deserted, save for that one person. There was no other source it could have originated from, she was sure of it.
She gulped, before slowly creeping closer. As she saw a tear trickle down the person's left cheek, for a second she doubted what she's seeing. She realized too late that her foot was near a small bush. As it made contact, she froze and prayed desperately.
But even such a tiny sound would never escape his enhanced sense.
He jerked his head towards her direction.
She froze. Her breath stuck in her throat.
Shit. No. You?

HOW'S THE PREVIEW?! EXCITED?! Because I AM! .
SORRY FOR TAKING TWO YEARS.
i literally have no idea what i did near the end lmao though I actually enjoyed writing the action :D I had to cut this at this part, since it was getting too long (it was supposed to be longer hehe) xD
I'm honestly having trouble finishing this, since I feel like hating how I wrote it, especially the first part (chapters 1 to around 10). But since I've started already, I guess I'll just let it be... and since you guys like it, I'll stick with how I did it, and edit it if and once I get the mood to. c: (not very likely)
I stopped watching Fairy Tail 2014 because of some...issues I have with it. I haven't even read the the most recent uh...100 chapters hahaha forgive me if there are details I should know by now but can't/won't/didn't include haha
Don't forget to vote + comment! I'd like to know what you guys think. c:

They were suppposed to be happy; they were supposed to live together through harmony and chaos; but the wheels of fate had different plans. As a tragic incident with a dark guild enfolds, Lucy is forced to make a decision that is sure to change their lives.
She's made the choice, and he is left with no choice but to grieve. All according to fate's plan, but there's more to come.
With the Grand Magic Games of Year X792 coming sooner than they think, these two separated lovers played by fate are brought back together, one way or another. But circumstances will prove a challenge, as choices certainly don't come easy the second time they meet again.
