Keith: *Staring at a white egg with blue streaks*
Rhythmi: Keith, being quiet, with an undamaged egg?! What's going on?! IS IT THE END OF THE WORLD?! D8
Fro: A reviewer called King Fox gave Keith this egg for a project.
Rhythmi: And Keith agreed to this?! This is so not normal for Keith!
Fro: It was either that or be chased by Snuggle-Buns for a long while.
Rhythmi: Then that is totally normal. Keith would do anything to get away from Snuggle-Buns or IMN's other pokémon. -.-"
Kate: I think it's sweet that Keith is taking care of an egg. He might be a great dad! ^^
IMN: *Panting and covered in scratches* OKAY! I got two of my best Psychic types holding back the Gyarados and the egg is alright...For now since it's Keith we're talking about. Rosie, can you do the disclaimer for me?

Keith: *Holding the egg while smiling like an eejit* I got it! From this day on, I'll call this little guy 'Keithie Junior' or 'KJ' for short!

Chapter 15: Birthday gone wrong!
Normal Pov
"Prof. Hastings actually called you 'Misery' for the whole day?" asked Rosie. Then the gang of our favourite students burst out laughing except for Rhythmi who was blushing from embarrassment.
"Yep. You would think that he would remember my name after knowing me for seventeen years!" Rhythmi complained while eating her breakfast.
"Relax Rhyth, Grandpa is just bad at names. You only met him like once a year for summer vacation since we were kids. So he might not remember you much," Keith said as he takes a huge bite out of his toast.
"That's still no reason to call me 'Misery'!" exclaimed Rhythmi while pouting. Isaac just patted Rhythmi on the shoulder and smiled at her, making the blonde operator-to-be blush.
"Don't worry about it. Let's just focus on graduation in two weeks' time. I'm so excited!" Isaac said with joy.
"I can't wait to become a Ranger! Can you guys actually believe that it's super close?!" Kellyn exclaimed while Mace playfully punched his shoulder.
"Calm down Ke-Ke before you float off somewhere," Mace said while eating her pancakes. Kellyn just messed up her hair and laughed.
"Okay, okay, I just hope that you and I are assigned to the same base, Mace. I can't think of not being in a region without you," Kellyn said with his grin stretching across his face. When Kellyn stopped talking Mace was blushing a lot and was choking on her pancakes in shock. She quickly swallowed a large gulp of milk and calmed down.
"D-D-DON'T SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT WHEN I'M EATING, YOU STUPID DRAGON!" shouted Mace as she hits Kellyn on the head in embarrassment. Everyone else was laughing at the scene with the two childhood best friends. Kate then finished her breakfast and walked towards the door.
"Hey Kate, where are you going?" Keith asked noticing his best friend/rival had left the table.
"I'm just going to see Bailey. She asked me to help with her training. Bailey seems really determined to be strong and helpful lately. I'll see you guys later!" Kate said as she walks out of the cafeteria. Keith looks at the door for a few seconds to see if Kate is really gone before quickly turning back to the others.
"Okay guys, I need your help. In six days' time, it would be Kate's seventeenth birthday!" Keith said in a whisper just in case Kate isn't out of hearing range thanks to her heightened hearing.
"Wait a minute, Kate is sixteen?! I always thought she was seventeen," whispered Isaac in shock.
"I know right?! I was shocked too! Anyway I want you guys to help me give Kate the best birthday ever. Anybody got any plans?" Keith whispered. The whole gang were silent for a few minutes, thinking what to do for Kate's birthday.
"Hey, remember that time where Mr Kincaid blamed Keith for stealing the stylers a while back? He said if we prove that Keith was innocent we get a week off school and can pull pranks on him for a whole day without getting in trouble," Rosie said with a smile on her face.
"You're right; WE MUST PRANK KINCAID BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR IS OVER! ...JINX!" shouted Kellyn and Mace in perfect unison.
"I try not to remember that day," grumbled Keith at the memory of Kincaid blaming him for stealing and the day that he saw Wes hugging Kate. Just because Wes claimed that Kate and him are nothing more than family, doesn't mean that the red-head prodigy puts the Psychic-type Mewman in his good books.
"Well, there's that on the to-do list. It may be too late to have a week off from school with graduation around the corner, but we can have one day free at least. We can use that day off to celebrate Big Sister's birthday," Rosie said with a smile on her face. The others mummer in agreement at Rosie's plan.
"Wait, the question is: what to do for Kate's birthday?" asked Rhythmi. The others were silent for a minute thinking of some idea to celebrate their friends birthday.
"How about a surprise party for her? I think that Kate would like that," Isaac said with a smile on his face.
"That's a great idea Isaac! Though if we have the party in the school then Kate would get suspicious. We should find somewhere else to have the party," Keith said while rubbing his chin.
"Did someone say 'party'?!" shouted two young familiar voices that sent a shiver up everyone's (except for Rosie) spine. The gang turned around to see the smiling 'innocent' twins, Ste and El.
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?!" shouted Keith in fear as Mace, Isaac, Rhythmi and Kellyn use the red-head as a shield to protect them, everyone knows (except for Rosie and Kate) that the twins hate Keith.
"Relax Keithie-kins, we come in peace," said Lisa as she walked towards the others along with the rest of the Mewman group. King was trying to flirt with Shizuka but she shut his mouth with a sneaky 'String Shot' attack. Mystic was looking at Arthur while he was talking to her. Finally Wes was glaring at Keith for some unknown reason.
"So what's this party you speak off?" asked Mystic in her usual emotionless tone.
"We're planning a surprise birthday party for Kate in a few days' time. Any ideas what to do for the party?" asked Mace while Kellyn takes away her muffin and eats it without her knowing. The Mewman gang were caught off guard by what Mace said about the party and looked at each other worriedly.
"Listen you guys, you should just leave Big Sister alone on her birthday," said Arthur in a nervous tone.
"Huh?! Why? What's wrong with celebrating one of our friends birthday?" asked Keith in anger.
"Believe us when we say that it's for the best. Just let Big Sister be and everything will be alright," said Shizuka in a calm lady-like manner while fanning herself with her Beautifly themed fan.
"But we always celebrate Big Sister's birthday! True we all missed two years of her life but we can change that by giving her the best birthday ever!" protested Rosie to the Mewman gang. The Mewmans looked at the Poison type for an answer. With a sigh King got the stick web off his mouth, stepped forward and looked at the young students with sad eyes.
"Let's just say that it's a painful day for Big Sister. This is a day that no one who carries the Icecia name, or even knows Kate Icecia as much as we do, looks forward to. So drop the subject and leave her alone on her birthday," King said before the Mewman gang walked out of the cafeteria.
The gang were silent and Keith was seething in rage. After a moment of deafening silence the red-head finally had enough and ran after the Mewman gang, not caring if he would get detention later for braking Kincaid's sacred 'no running' rule. When Keith finally went outside he saw Wes and the others talking to each other in the courtyard. The Blessed boy couldn't control his anger and shouted out what he wanted to say before thinking of the consequences.
"Is it that wrong to celebrate Kate's birthday?! I know that it's also her brother's birthday too. It would be painful for me too if I was in her shoes but do you all think that she might want to escape the pain?! I may not have powers like all of you do but I'll do anything to make Kate happy! Who are you guys to say what's best for Kate?! I'll lend her a shoulder to cry on! I'll do my best to make the pain go away! I may not know Kate for years but I know that she suffered a lot over the years and I want to help in any way I can!" Keith shouted before panting for breath.
All the Mewmans stared at Keith in shock at what he said to them. Then Wes just marched up to Keith and lifted the red-head off the ground with his 'Psychic' attack. Wes was glaring at Keith like he was his most hated enemy.
"It's none of your business to know about Big Sister's life or what she is going through. If you value your pathetic life then stay out of it!" shouted Wes before walking away in rage as his friends followed him and he let Keith go of his 'Psychic'.
Keith's Pov
OW! That hurt like hell! Stupid Wes and his Psychic powers. I can't believe he would say that! Who does he think he is?! The King of the World?! I DON'T THINK SO!
"Keith is everything okay? I heard shouting from around the corner. What's going on?" said Kate as she jogged towards me. After I got up from the ground I smiled at Kate trying to show I'm okay.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just slipped and landed on my butt. The shouting was me getting mad at myself for being so clumsy," I said to Kate. I felt bad for lying to her but I don't want to mess with the Mewman gang from the way they're acting today, especially Wes and the twins.
"Oh, I see. We still have half an hour til class starts. Do you want to stay out here for a while or go to our classroom?" asked Kate while smiling at me.
"Let's go to our classroom. Knowing us we'll have a capture competition and be late for class," I said to Kate. The truth is that I really don't want to face Kate's old friends after what happened and they're still outside somewhere. After we both got to our classroom I sat in my seat and put my feet on my desk. It was quite for the first five minutes with Kate playing with her powers while I relaxed in my seat. I just looked at Kate and started thinking. Now that I think about it I don't know much about Kate's life like she knows mine. I felt a little jealous about Wes knowing more about Kate than me. After I decided what to say to Kate I took a deep breath in and looked at the Ice Mewman in front of me.
"Kate, what was your life like before you came to the school?" I asked out loud. There, I said it! Now I had to pray that it won't get awkward between us. Kate just froze her movements and became silent for a moment. I could see in her eyes that she was remembering something painful because I saw tears gathering at the edges of her eyes. I started to panic! I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE HER CRY!
"Kate, you don't have to say anything if you get upset about it! It's okay! I can totally understand if you don't want to talk! Please don't cry!" I rambled trying to cheer up my best friend slash rival. Kate suddenly snapped out of her daze and looked at me with a small smile on her face.
"Let's just say that my life was very different from now," Kate said but I noticed that Kate put her right hand on the center of her back. I knew it wasn't her Birthmark because that was on her left hip. What could be on her back?
"Anyway, what do you want to do for your birthday? It's in six days' time right?" I asked. When I mentioned her birthday Kate became ghostly white and her eyes went wide. I saw that her hands were shaking as well. This was really freaking me to see Kate like this, so I put a hand on her shoulder and got her to look at me.
"Kate calm down. Everything is going to be okay. What's the matter?" I whispered so Kate won't freak out even more. She just looked at me straight in the eye and I saw tears welling up. I was beyond shocked at this point. What could be so bad about her birthday that she is having a panic attack?! Kate took a few minutes to calm down and wipe away her tears. After she did that, Kate looked at me with a serious look.
"Keith listen to me. I don't want you or the others anywhere near me for my birthday. That's my birthday wish: stay away from me for twenty-four hours in six days' time," Kate said with no emotions in her voice and looked me dead in the eye. When she said that it hurt me deep inside my chest, a lot. I just nodded my head and kept my mouth shut as the rest of our classmates were coming into the room for today's lesson.
After the school day was over Kate ran out of class before anyone said anything to her. The pain in my chest intensified by a hundred knowing that Kate was avoiding me. A few minutes later I walked to the Pledge Stone in Ascension Square where the others and I hang out after school every day. I instinctively looked around for Kate before I remembered that she was avoiding me for some unknown reason.
"Hey Red-Head, why the long face? You look even more annoying than usual," Mace said while she was tinkering with an extra styler. I just kept quiet, sat down and looked at the ocean. I heard the others whispering behind me but I didn't pay attention to what they said. A few seconds later Rhythmi was standing in front of me with her iPhone in her hands.
"Keith, I just typed a message say that you and Kate are a couple! One press of a button and everyone we know would read it. What do you have to say to that?" Rhythmi exclaimed while hovering her other hand over the screen.
"Send it if you want, I don't care anyway," I said while I was still looking at the ocean. I knew Rhythmi was in shock because I could hear the sound of her precious pink iPhone hit the grass and my childhood friend was stammering. Then Isaac crouched down and started stretching my face.
"Looks like Keith. Sounds like Keith but he doesn't act like Keith," Isaac said before stepping back and staring at me like I was some puzzling equation.
"What's wrong Keith? Do you have a tummy ache?" Rosie asked innocently. I just shook my head and continued looking at the horizon. I saw from the corner of my eye that Rhythmi was staring at me and started scanning around the square. After she had a full scan of the area she had that 'I-Got-It!' expression on her face.
"It's because of Kate isn't it? So it's about the matters of the heart. You owe me five pokédollars Kellyn!" Rhythmi said while Kellyn cursed in Mew-latin about losing some bet with her. I nodded my head and told the gang everything that happened between Kate and I. She's hiding something, something that only she and Wes knows about. Kate also acted strange when I mentioned her Birthday.
"She what?! That doesn't sound like Kate at all! There has to be a reason!" Kellyn shouted after I told him what happened.
"Kellyn, we have to respect her wishes. Even if it does sound weird," Mace said calmly trying to convince Kellyn not to march to his cousin's dorm and demand an answer. I hate to admit it but the She-Hulk is right, Kate must have a reason for saying that. I just don't know why. I could still remember what Crawford and the Mewman gang told me about Kate not looking forward to her birthday. It must be really hard for her and I can't believe she wants to be alone. I want to make Kate's birthday a little bit better, even if she doesn't want us near her. That was when I got an idea.
"We could make her a cake," I mumbled to myself but the others heard it. After I told them the reason for my idea, all of us talked about what to do to help make Kate's birthday a little bit better without us going near her. After an hour of talking we set out to do the different tasks to do for the plan.
Five days later, 11:45 pm, Kate's Pov
"Okay, everything is set up. You have a supply of food and water to last twenty-four hours. I put a psychic barrier surrounding the dorm so people won't get in or out unless my powers stop working. I've bolted the door and window. We also got Rhythmi out of the dorm for safety. The twins and Fro are guarding the door while King and the rest of us are guarding the outside," Wes said as he finished listing the things to prepare for the worst day in Icecia history: my seventeenth birthday. I wished for this day to never come, but it has.
"If you need any of us, talk via telepathy we'll be here in seconds." Lisa said calmly as she finished filling my glass with water and handing it to me.
"No, you guys need to stay as far away from me as possible. It might affect you too if any of you come near me. I can't control my powers when it awakens," I said seriously trying to hide the fact I'm scared to death.
"I can't believe that the prophecy is coming true. Soon you'll-" Lisa said before she broke down crying while Wes moved to comfort her. I know Lisa is the strongest water type and person I've ever known but it takes a lot for her to cry. I wouldn't blame her considering what could happen to me in the near future according to the prophecy.
"We should go, it's nearly midnight," Wes whispered to Lisa before he teleported out of the dorm. I saw from my clock that it was 11:59 pm, one minute until it starts. I looked at my Birthmark for a minute before lying back on my bed and fell asleep in seconds.
I woke up in a meadow with the sun shining on my face. I sat up and saw people and pokémon playing in the meadow. I couldn't help but smile at the scene.
Suddenly everything around me was shrouded in darkness. When I tried to run my feet wouldn't move. I looked down and saw shadows creeping up my legs. I started to panic and struggled to get free but the shadows moved up my leg faster. Then a large shadow flew towards me but stopped inches from my face. I felt a shiver down my spine as I knew who it was.
"So you're the Icecia that would stop the 'Day of Darkness'? Who knew such a little girl could hold great power?" said the shadow in front of me. I just glared at it and bared my teeth.
"I promise on Arceus himself that I will stop the 'Day of Darkness' and save everyone. Mark my words!" I growled.
"Stop it? Just because the prophecy said so, doesn't mean you will. You couldn't even protect your friends two years ago. What makes you think you will stop it? Also do you know the price of stopping the 'Day of Darkness'? Right. Of course you do, everyone who bears the name Icecia knows your destiny when you succeed," said the shadow laughing at me. I couldn't stop shaking. The shadow knew about the prophecy and what happened two years ago. It knows me well, too well.
"Poor little Icecia is afraid. I would have given up already if I was in your place but you're a strong girl so it's expected. I do believe our time is up. Until then Katherine Icecia," said the shadow before I felt myself sinking into darkness. I let out a scream but it was silent as the darkness that's now consuming me.
I woke up with a jolt and had a cold sweat running down my neck. After I'd taken a few calming breaths I realised that I'm in my dorm, not covered in darkness. I then started to feel weak and laid back down on the bed. These are the signs, the prophecy is coming true.
Then I started to hear voices outside my door. I couldn't make out what they're saying or who they were in my condition but I do know there's an argument going on from how loud the voices are. This went on for a minute or two before it went silent. I was curious about what was going on but I told myself not to open the door. Before I knew it, I was asleep again with nightmares haunting my dreams.
I woke up again and saw it was 1: 43 pm. I still felt weak but I got up to look in the mirror at Rhythmi's dressing table. I lifted my top just enough to see my birthmark on my left hip. The black dot in the middle of the snowflake was glowing eerily. I let out a sad sigh before pulling down my top. When I looked at my reflection again I saw there was something behind me on my bedside table. I turned around and I was shocked at what I saw.
On the bedside table were birthday stuff. Gift wrapped presents, balloons that says 'Happy Birthday', a card and a white birthday cake with a multi-coloured 'Happy Birthday Kate!' written on top. I was shocked to say the least. I never expected this to happen today at all. I slowly un-wrapped the presents with caution just in case it was some sort of trap.
It turns out the presents weren't traps at all. So far the gifts I've opened are: a book that I've been dying to read for a while, a small bouquet containing forget-me-nots and lilies (my favourite flowers), a pair of snowflake earrings, an emerald green music box for the earrings and a little pocket size radio that can play whatever songs I want by saying it. The only thing I haven't opened is the last gift and the envelop. I picked them both up and sat down on my bed.
I thought about opening the envelop first so that's just what I did. Inside the envelop was a small hand-made card with a drawing of all of my friends in school. I opened the card and I almost burst into tears from reading it.
'To Kate, We know that you want to spend your birthday alone and that you don't want us coming near for some reason. We also know that you're probably feeling really down so the others and I made a plan to try making your birthday as positive as possible! Hope you like the presents and cake! Also happy birthday! From Keith, Rosie, Isaac, Rhythmi, Kellyn and Mace.'
I couldn't believe that they went to all that trouble just so I could be a little bit happy on my birthday. I suddenly remembered the last present, so I ripped the wrapping off it to see a digital photo frame showing pictures of all my friends doing stuff throughout the year. I wanted to cry, run out of this room and tell everyone I was sorry but I knew I couldn't because I would put everyone in danger if I left the room.
"Awwww, poor little Mewman is sad. You shouldn't be like this, after all it is your birthday," said a voice in the room. I felt a shiver down my spine when I heard the voice. I turned towards the window and saw two people in black hooded coats and outfits. I remember them from when they tried to kidnap Rosie and Kellyn, it was the leader of the Hunters and that girl, Noir.
"What are you both doing here? It's impossible to get through the barrier," I growled out while trying to reach for my ice cube so I can use my scythe to defend myself.
"It's not impossible if you take down the source of the barrier. Just a dab of Payapa Berry powder on his Birthmark and his powers are down for the count. As for why we are here, we're just doing a little job in collecting you Miss Icecia." said the leader with an evil smile. Before I could grab my ice cube Noir grabbed my wrist and put something rough and hard on them. My first instinct is to freeze whatever's on my wrist but if I do that then I would be even weaker and a part of me says that ice type moves can't break it.
"Wise move not to use your powers in your 'special' condition. Also even if you did use your ice, those cuffs are fused with rocks and steel, a double trouble for an ice type Mewman like yourself. Our employer has big plans for you!" said the leader. When I tried to struggle free I felt my Birthmark shooting a stabbing pain inside my body, like liquid fire. 'No! Not now!' I thought as I willed myself not to faint but the pain increased. The pain from my Birthmark and how weak I'm feeling made me feel faint. Before I collapsed to the floor I silently prayed to Arceus that someone would save me.
Keith's Pov
"You think Kate would like our little idea?"
"Keith for the hundred and fiftieth time, YES!" said Rhythmi as the gang and I were chillin' by the Pledge Statue. I was nervous to know what Kate thought about our little plan to make her birthday more positive. It took forever to make Wes teleport our gifts to her room and I'm worried that it was not a smart idea. What if she doesn't like it? What if she thinks we're insensitive? What if she-WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT THIS?! I never this worried about impressing - I MEAN MAKE SOMEONE HAPPY!- before. Ugh, this is driving me insane!
"Ke-Ke, what's the matter?" asked Mace, snapping me out of my internal debate with myself. I looked at Kellyn, who was sniffing the air before his eyes turned into slits and he started growling.
"The Hunters are back again and they're near Kate's dorm," Kellyn growled in rage. That's all I heard before I legged it to the school building. I arrived to the back of the building in two minutes tops and what I saw made my heart drop to the floor. Kate's window was wide open and King, Shizuka and the rest of the Mewman gang we're on the ground injured. I stood there frozen in horror until my friends arrived.
"What happened?!" shouted Isaac as we all checked on the injured Mewmans. I ran to Wes while the others went to check out the injuries. Wes has his hand on his right shoulder; his sleeve was ripped to show multiple markings around his shoulder and was covered in bruises. As much as I dislike Wes, I can't leave him like this. So I tried to do first aid on him but the bruises were gone in seconds.
"Wes what happened? Where's Kate?" I asked while helping Wes up. Even with all the bruises Wes was still holding his shoulder.
"Two Hunters ambushed us. They paralyzed everyone and put some Payapa Berry powder on my Birthmark. Payapa berries temporarily stops a Psychic Mewman's power when the powder makes contact with their Birthmark. While we couldn't move, they took Big Sister. They're on the roof waiting for one of their allies to collect them. Please, help Big Sister," Wes said before Kellyn and Mace ran to me with worried looks on their faces.
"Red-Head, Ke-Ke says that Kate and the Hunters are on the roof but there's two Flying types coming our way. The Flying types must be the Hunters and if we don't save Kate now then we might never see her again!" Mace exclaimed as Kellyn transformed into his Mewman form. I nodded my head and grabbed Kellyn's arm while Mace grabbed the other (I also noticed that she was blushing a little bit but that's not the point). Then Kellyn flew us up to the roof to see two figures in black hooded coats and outfits along with Kate unconscious on the ground, not looking so good from her body trembling and how her skin is pale.
"Why look Noir, the cavalry has arrived to see Little Miss Ice Mewman," The man said sarcastically. I saw the familiar silver cuffs on his sleeves and I instantly released it was the leader.
"Let go of her!" I demanded with anger boiling inside of me. These Hunters are the worst. How dare they do this to Kate and Mewmans around the world?
"I could but I won't. You see our employer is offering a huge amount of money to bring Miss Icecia to him. She's a special Mewman and our employer has big plans for her," The leader said while lifting Kate up by her hair, which made her groan in pain. I clenched my fist and shook in rage. No one should hurt Kate, NO ONE! Before I knew it the leader snapped his fingers on his free hand and Noir charged at Kellyn with a Shock Dagger in his hand! Lucky for Kellyn he has fast reflexes and dodged the strike.
Noir then charged at Mace but Mace jumped out of the way and landed a kick to Noir's face. Noir skidded back a few feet and started a fist fight with Mace. Kellyn started his own fist fight with the leader. Both of them were at a disadvantage because the Hunter duo had Shock Daggers. I realised that Kate was still unconscious and no one was guarding her. So I ran past the fighting and went on my knees next to Kate. When I picked Kate up I saw that she cringed in pain and was shaking. I quickly looked for injuries but there were no wounds on her body. I was starting to get worried.
"Kate? Kate wake up. Kate? Please, wake up Kate!" I shouted loud enough for Kate to hear me but quiet enough for the Hunters not to notice me. Kate groaned before slowly waking up to show her icey blue eyes with those tiny black specs on them. You won't believe how relieved I was to see Kate awake. Sadly my relief didn't last long when I saw Mace and Keith thrown on the ground paralyzed.
"I have enough distractions for one day. Now be a good boy and give me the Mewman," ordered the leader as he pointed his Shock Dagger at me. I felt shaken to the core from how the two strongest people I know were defeated by people like them. My first instinct was to run away but I felt Kate shaking again in my arms. In an instant I started to remember all the times I spent with Kate. The time I jumped off a cliff to save Bailey and Kate saved me with her ice slide. How I found out she was a Mewman during the Test of Courage. How I helped her keep Fro at the school and persuaded her to gather the courage to talk to Rosie. How she and her family made me feel I was a part of them when my parents couldn't make it to Visiting Day. Even the One-Day Internship were we helped that Buizel. Kate's my best friend and I'm not letting some stupid evil Hunters to take her away from me!
"OVER MY DEAD BODY! YOU CAN KILL ME FOR ALL I CARE BUT I'M NOT LETTING YOU HARM ONE HAIR ON KATE!" I shouted while tightening the grip around Kate to protect her from the Hunters. The leader growled with impatience. He was about to strike me with his Shock Dagger but then something brown fell from the sky and tackled the leader by surprise. Then Noir was tackled to the ground by a white blob. It took me a second to see that it was Bailey and Fro.
"NEVER FEAR, BACK-UP IS HERE!" shouted two voices in unison. I saw above my head were Ste and El riding on Chrom's back. I also saw their Scizor and Mawile were holding an unconscious Crobat and Swellow, those must be the Hunter's pokémon. Then the Hunters threw off Bailey and Fro and ran towards me but the twins used 'Iron Head' on them and started fighting each other. I felt Kate trying to get up but I stopped her because she was in no condition to fight. When she stopped moving, she looked into my eyes and reached for my right hand.
"Keith, help get rid of the Hunters," whimpered Kate when she finally touched my right hand and slowly took off my finger-less glove to show my Blessed mark. I was confused about what she wanted me to do. I'm just an ordinary human, how am I suppose to beat two strong Hunters?!
"Use your Blessed mark. I didn't tell you this but when you touch a Mewman's Birthmark, you can use the same type moves they can. You touched my mark so you can use Ice-type moves. Point your hand to the target and say the attack you want to use. I know you can do it Keith," Kate said before falling asleep again. I looked at my white and pale blue Blessed Mark that was shaped like Mew making a circle by connecting it's head to it's tail. A few months ago I would have laughed about anything Mewman related but now I'm protecting a Mewman in my arms. I steeled my resolve and pointed my right hand to the Hunters.
"BLIZZARD!" I ordered before a giant 'Blizzard' attack came out of my hand. Good news: The twins got out of the way in time and the Hunters were blasted away along with their pokémon. Bad news: The attack was so powerful that it's power made me fly off the roof in the opposite direction. I held onto Kate tight, shut my eyes and waited for the bone-crushing crash that would follow. I thought it was strange that I didn't feel any pain, so I opened my eyes to see I was on Chrom's back along with Kellyn and Mace.
"You're lucky that we came in time Adams! You would have been nothing but a splat on the ground by now if it weren't for us!" lectured Mace while Kellyn directed Chrom to the ground. After about five minutes of carrying Kate in my arms and getting lectured by the She-Hulk, I finally got to Kate's dorm. I quickly shut the door behind me with my foot to keep the She-Hulk out and carried the sleeping Mewman to her bed. I put her down and lifted the covers on her. I was about to walk away when I felt a hand holding the back of my jacket. I looked back to see Kate holding my jacket like it's a lifeline.
"P-Please don't go Keith. I'm scared." Kate whispered while looking into my eyes. Originally I thought she meant that the Hunters would try to get her again but from staring into her eyes, I knew it was something else. Something even more terrifying than getting taken by the Hunters, the question is: what is she terrified off? I then felt a bit tired myself from all the energy I used for that 'Blizzard' attack.
It seemed that Kate heard my thoughts via telepathy because she scooted to the other side of the bed to make room for me. I knew that I would get an earful by Rhythmi and the others but right now I didn't care. I crawled onto the bed and Kate instantly pulled the covers up and fell asleep. As I gazed at Kate's sleeping form, I felt my face heat up and my hear skip a beat. I couldn't stop remembering what the Hunters almost did. Just the thought of them harming Kate is enough to make my blood boil. That was when I made a silent promise to myself to protect Kate and before I knew it I fell asleep next to Kate.

Keith: *Blushing a hundred shades of red* QUIT IT RHYTH!
Isaac: I can't believe that the School Arc is almost over. It's kinda sad.
IMN: I know... ANYWAY! Get ready guys because from this point on it would be a bumpy ride!
Fro: Speaking of bumpy rides. IMN remember those Gyarados you asked your best Psychic types to control them?
IMN: Yes?...What about them? o.O
Fro: Weeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllll, they may have-kinda-sorta-maybe-accidentally escaped and are heading this way? ^^"
Cast: WHAT?!
Kellyn: STAMPEDE! *Points to the hoard of Gyarados heading towards them*
Cast: *Dodges the hoard in time*
Keith: *Holding his egg for dear life, protecting it from harm* Good news: KJ IS OKAY!
Mace: SERIOUSLY, WHAT TYPE OF NAME IS 'KJ'?!
