WOW! It's been a really long time! Hey guys! So after 3 months of not updating, I AM BACK! I will try to update at least every weekend! I want to thank the people who are still following and favoriting me and this fanfiction! And I cannot believe that Kiera Cass is coming out with new stories that will be a part of the selection stories! Yay! Now, without further ado, here is the next chapter!
America:
"Our baby?" Maxon said. He looked straight ahead. Was he unhappy? Was he still emotionless? How could news as big as this keep him emotionless? I was nervous.
"Yes." I said smiling.
He looked up at me. All of a sudden, a big smile appeared on his face.
"Our baby?" He asked, much more excited this time. I nodded.
Maxon picked me up, and spun me around. He put me back on the ground and planted a soft kiss on my lips. Then, his face appeared very sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I have left you, our baby, and this entire country alone for months. How could I do this? America, I love you. Will you forgive me?" He responded.
"Yes Maxon." His stress rolled off his shoulders, and we went back to being excited.

"Queen America? Are you in here?" Mary's head popped into my room.
"Yes Mary, come in." I responded. She slowly walked in, holding bright, bubble gum pink paint swatches in her hands.
"Which color do you like for Princess Evelyn's bedroom, your Majesty?" She asked promptly.
"Firstly, you do not have to be so official with me Mary," she giggled, "and secondly, how about some purples and grays. I want her room to look mature, yet youthful." She nodded, smiling.
"You have very good taste, America." Mary said back to me.
"Why thank you Mary, but they're just colors. I put the rest of the design of my daughter's room into your, Lucy, and Anne's hands."
She smiled. Her eyes grew wide with excitement.
"Thank you. But why us when-" she managed to get out until I cut her off.
"Don't say anything. You, Anne, and Lucy have been there for me for a very long time. You're like my good luck charm. I don't need a design team to paint and design my daughter's bedroom. I need my amazing friends."
She smiled even more. A tear ran down her cheek. I gave her a hug.
We separated, and she waved.
"I have a room to design!" I smiled, and waved back. She turned around and began walking down the hall.
I heard a noise behind me, but thought nothing of it.
"You are really just a wonderful queen, aren't you, Queen America?" I turned around. I had never seen this man before.
"Thank you. And you are?" I said.
"I am one of King Clarkson's many advisors."
"But he died more than a year ago. Are you Maxon's as of now?" I asked curiously.
"Oh no. Ha ha ha ha!" This man was very strange. "Maxon fired me after he became king. Which is why I am here." Now I was nervous.
"Which leads to my next question, why are you here?" I was suspicious of this man.
"Because. As Clarkson laid in his death bed, he asked me of one specific request. Make sure you never become queen. And if you do, kill Maxon, and let you live the rest of your life in the east tower. I would then take over the kingdom." He said diabolically.
"You couldn't. GUARDS!" I screamed. The man grasped his gun, and shot at a nearby flower pot. Guards came bursting into the door.
"That was your warning shot, now nobody move." He said, walking in a circle.
As he turned around, looking at the guards surrounding him, I escaped, running through the halls of the palace.
"STUPID GIRL!" He shouted.
I couldn't run anymore, but I had to find the rebel alarm to alert the staff that someone had entered the palace, unauthorized.
I finally found the button underneath a flower pot, and pushed it. I was right around the corner to Maxon's study. I hoped he was in there.
Maxon:
"Do you need anything, your Majesty?" A butler walked into my study.
"Just a glass of water, please. I'll be here for a while." He nodded and walked out of the room.
"BEEEEP! BEEEEP!" The rebel alarm blared. I quickly got up.
"MAXON!" I heard America scream. I ran out of my study.
"AMERICA! WHERE ARE YOU?" I yelled back. I ran to the right, around a corner.
I found America panting, standing by the rebel alarm. I picked her up. It was a bit of a struggle. Pregnant America did not weigh the same as normal America, but I loved her just as much, if not more now that she had our baby in her stomach.
I began running to the nearest safe room.
I could hear gun shots being fired throughout the hall. I needed to find a safe room. There wasn't much time left. I also needed answers.
"America, what happened? Why did you press the rebel alarm? Who is here?" I was nervous and confused. I hated this feeling.
"He wants to kill you, put me in the east tower, and take over the kingdom. Your f-fathers last…" I cut America off.
"Slow down America. Repeat yourself."
"H-he was an advisor."
"Who's?" I asked her.
"Your father's," she began to slow down, "he wants to kill you, put me in the east tower, and take over the kingdom. According to him, it was the last thing your father asked him to do, but only if you married me."
I still had no clue.
My father would never kill me. Not himself anyway.
Wait…
The nervousness went away.
I was no longer clouded with confusion.
It was anger that swelled inside of me now.
I knew exactly who did this.
"Michael Ilea."
"Who? Maxon, who is this guy?" America asked.
"Michael Ilea."
Cliffhanger! Thanks for reading this! If you like the story, follow and favorite it, and me! Here is a response from something someone asked on the last chapter.
"How could they wake up next to each other if they never have?"
America and Maxon are married now, so they should be waking up next to each other.
If you guys have any questions or suggestions please comment or pm me! I am going to write a story about Evelyn's life next! I will keep writing this story for a while, so don't worry!
Thanks! Byyeee!
