Hey guys! So I had extra time today and decided to write the next chapter! Yay! Alright, so I am going to start asking questions at the end of each chapter! (I realized a lot of writers on here do this!) So here it is, chapter 14!

Btws here is a recap from the last chapter just in case…

"Michael Ilea."

"Who? Maxon, who is this guy?" America asked.

"Michael Ilea."

Maxon:

"Like…Gregory Ilea?" she asked me.

"Yes." I responded.

"But I thought they were no longer existent." She had no idea. I feel sorry for never telling her.

"That's what I thought too. Until my father told me that he was his closest and most trusted advisor. Turns out he is the great, great, great grandson of Gregory Ilea." America's mouth opened wide. "He is a little older than us. He wants to take over the kingdom not only because of my father's orders, but because he wants true Ilean rulers."

She stared at me, looking very worried.

"Everything will be fine." At least that was what I was trying to tell myself.

I increased my speed as we approached the stairs to the third floor. I didn't know if Michael brought any of my distant relatives.

These, True Ileans, or at least that's what I think they call themselves, apparently "fight for peace". They wanted to begin a rebellion, but my father stopped them when Michael was invited into the palace. It sickens me to think what they might do.

As we approached our bedroom, I began to fear that they had already been up here. What if they were waiting for America and I just through the door? My heart began to speed up as we got closer.

"Bump, bump, bump." I heard my heart beating inside of my chest.

Step after step. We were less than three feet away from the door.

"America, I need you to stand right here, okay," I whispered quickly, "If Michael is behind this door, you run. Run as fast as you can. Okay?"

"No, I'm not leaving you Maxon. I am not-" I cut her off.

"America, just run. I have to try to work things out. You have to run."

She looked at me, then at the ground, then at the door.

I slowly raised my hand, twitching and sweating, up to the doornob.

I twisted it slowly.

"Creeeeeek".

America:

"BANG!"

"MAXON!"

"That was you're warning shot, King Maxon. You are very lucky I didn't aim for your head. Your wife had the same privilege as you before," Michael said with sarcasm.

I froze. I didn't run. I wasn't leaving him now.

"AMERICA RUN!" Maxon yelled.

I ran, but I wasn't running towards the nearest safe room. I was running towards the nearest dead guard.

The guard was drowning in a deep, red pool of blood. I reached for his gun. This Michael guy was going down.

Maxon:

"Come inside. We should be able to talk this out like men, don't you think, Your Majesty?" Michael had a sinister grin on his face.

I stepped inside the dragon's lair, unaware of the dragon's ability. Could he spit fire at me, could he kill the ones I love? I didn't know.

I had to have courage.

All of a sudden one of Michael's men slammed the door behind me.

In sync, the 10s of goons Michael hired were facing me, with guns pointed at my head.

My brown eyes were bulging.

My hands were twitching.

My throat became itchy.

This was truly the end.

America:

I tip-toed towards our bedroom, terrified. But I knew I had to save Maxon.

I peeked through the key hole.

"As you can see, we are fully prepared. We were more, what's the word," Michael paused, "naïve and lenient. Now we aren't."

True evil at its finest boys and girls, true evil.

Michael began to talk again. Now was my chance.

I lifted my hand towards the doorknob.

I careful twisted it.

The door was slightly opened. Michael was facing the back of the room.

His guards were watching their leader lecture Maxon about the "truth" of Ilea.

This was perfect.

I aimed my gun at Michael's head.

My hand brushed the trigger.

I began to pull back the trigger.

"BANG!"

Michael fell forward and hit his head on our fireplace. He was dead for sure.

His guards faced me with their guns pointed at me.

Maxon took the gun of Michael and aimed at one of the men.

Some of our guards began to rush into our bedroom.

"Put your guns down and maybe you won't get canned," Maxon said with anger in his voice.

They all turned around to face Maxon, then back to me and the castle guards. They dropped their weapons and walked over to the guards, ready to be taken away.

As we walked out the door, we saw the destruction that was done. Blood was smeared on the walls. Markers were used to write the word rebellion.

"There are more of us," one of the rebels spoke up, "and they are better prepared than we were. There are more of us. Watch out," the guards began pulling them down the hallway near the prisoner cells.

"THERE ARE MORE! THEY ARE COMING! THEY WILL TAKE OVER!"

And Maxon and I will stop every single one of you. For the safety of our kingdom, and our child.

And I'm locking up, anyone who ever laid a finger on me.

Thanks for reading! I hoped you guys liked it! If you have any suggestions please PM or comment! Sorry for the last cliffy! I needed to make things a little more dramatic. And if anyone found the Mockingjay Part 1 reference (Lorde really), you get to give me a suggestion to incorporate! And the first question is…

Who is your fictional crush? (Can be T.V, comic/graphic novel, movie, or book)

Thanks! Byyyeeee!
