Recap

'So, did you and Sho-chan get separated from the other two?'

There was no way she was going to tell Byakuran the truth. Especially that they were separated at the very beginning and didn't find them again to meet back up. There is two things that Miyuki will keep from Byakuran about this night. The first being her and Shoichi actually did get separated. The second, she wished Byakuran could've been sitting with them right now. She can live without him mocking her about those things.

'Nope.'

Miyuki jumped a bit hearing the first of the fireworks start to go off. Glancing up at the bright colors filling the night sky, she smiled. "This is the perfect way to end summer." Shoichi turned to Miyuki, seeing the glow of the fireworks light up her features perfectly, he couldn't help but agree.

"Oh, you two are back again?" A worker in the electronic shop stared down at Shoichi and Miyuki from behind his desk.

Miyuki gave the man a confused glance, why did it sound strange when the man said that? Shoichi seemed to pick up the man's strange tone too. "Um, I ordered some parts last week, they should be in today." He shifted nervously as he spoke.

"Name?"

"Irie Shoichi."

The worker sighed, turning to a door behind him. As he stepped into the small storage room he called out to Shoichi. "Kid, you should enjoy it while it last." Miyuki turned to give Shoichi a confused glance, though it seemed the red head was just as confused. "Enjoy what?" Did they somehow get his order wrong? He didn't think he had requested anything he should 'enjoy while it last.' The man stepped back to the counter with a small package in his hands.

"Her." The man said glancing from Shoichi to Miyuki. Seeing their confused looks the man continued. "I had a good friend when I was your age too, she would come with me to ridiculous places she didn't really enjoy. We went to robot conventions, picking up parts at shops like this." He paused staring at something that wasn't there. "She eventually got bored of it, she wasn't interested in any of it. It wasn't long before she started spending time with more guy friends and before I knew it she was a stranger to me. I didn't even get to tell her how I really felt about her. Now she's married with a kid and I'm here still playing with robots." The man sighed and looked Shoichi in the eye. "Be careful you aren't too distracted, someone else will take her right from under your nose."

Miyuki stared at the strange employee. Was he serious? She'd never just abandon Shoichi, they've been best friends so long, it'd be weird if she didn't see him on a daily basis. Wait, is the worker trying to imply something? Her blank stare morphed into a curious one as she glanced between the man and Shoichi.

"Um, I have some more things I needed to pick up today." Shoichi spoke, purposely glancing around the store for the other items.

"That was awkward." Miyuki spoke quietly, so the worker wouldn't hear her.

Shoichi barely glanced at the brunette, before turning back to look at some wires. "Miyu-chan, could you get some bolts?" Miyuki shot Shoichi a worried look. "I hope you aren't taking what he said to heart, Sho-chan." The girl mumbled before leaving the aisle and heading for one on the other side of the store.

Turning down the aisle, Miyuki paused noticing a blonde around her age. The boy barely glanced at Miyuki before going back to look at some screws before him. Remembering that she was suppose to be getting Shoichi some bolts, the brunette took her eyes off the blonde stranger and moved to the section holding the bolts.

Well, Miyuki was going to get the bolts. She frowned at the small section not impressed with the fact that there was around five different sizes of bolts and she had no idea which one he wanted. While debating about which ones to pick up. The blonde boy had left the aisle and returned, he gave Miyuki a strange look seeing as she was still staring at the bolts. He watched her for another minute before deciding he'd ask if she needed help.

"Do you need help?" The blonde stranger nudged Miyuki a little.

Miyuki turned to him, looking beyond lost. "Huh?"

"You've been staring at the bolts for around five minutes now."

Confused green eyes met amused green eyes, Miyuki pouted a second realizing how stupid she must've looked. "Actually, Sho-chan asked me to get some bolts, however, I didn't realize there would be different sizes."

"Do you know what he needs them for?" He stepped towards the bolts, glancing over them.

"Robots."

"He builds them?"

"Yeah."

"Do you know anything about robots?"

"Well, I mean, I listen when Sho-chan is talking about them."

"So, you don't know anything."

"Basically."

The blonde seemed even more amused, which surprised Miyuki, usually the people Shoichi talks to who are also into robots are annoyed by Miyuki. Miyuki frowned thinking about them, they can be really rude. Then again she wasn't sure if he was actually into robots.

"Do you know anything about robots?" The blonde picked up a handful of bolts, handing them to Miyuki. "I build robots too. Those are the bolts he'll need."

"Oh thank you-" she trailed off for him to fill in the blank.

"Spanner."

"Thank you, Spanner." She smiled brightly at him. "I'm Miyuki."

"Thank you, I'm surprised you actually got the right bolts. I realized after you left that there would different sizes." The two were sitting in Miyuki's bedroom, she had wanted to introduce Shoichi to Spanner, however, he had left before she could. "Actually someone helped me, he builds robots too." Miyuki spoke while starting up her computer. Byakuran had been spamming her with text, asking her to get on the computer. She had been trying to ignore him, though, Byakuran is someone who will not let you simply ignore him.

She had signed into the messenger when she received a webcam request.

"What do you want?"

"You've been ignoring me." The white haired menace pouted at Miyuki.

"I was hanging out with Sho-chan."

His lavender eyes locked on a figure sitting on her bed. "Hi Sho-chan!" Byakuran greeted the boy cheerily as always, though oddly enough he wasn't popping marshmallows in his mouth this time.

"How did you two meet? How old were you?"

Miyuki leaned back into chair, and turned slightly so she could look at Shoichi. She gave the red head a look that almost seemed like she was asking his permission to tell the story. With a sigh Shoichi nodded, even though it was ten years ago he still found it a bit embarrassing.

"It's actually a funny story..." She started turning back to look at Byakuran.

-flashback-

"Aki-nii, why do I have to wear this!?" A four year old Miyuki pouted up at the red head before her. "I can't move." She started whining more irritating the ten year old.

"Miyu-chan, if you don't wear the padding you could be hurt, now stop swinging your Bo staff around. You're going to-"

"Ah!" A young boy started crying after being knocked in the head with a Bo staff.

"-hit someone. Saito Miyuki!" Akira scolded her while rushing to the crying boy.

"Are you okay? Let me see your head." He gently removed the boys hands from his head to check for himself that he wasn't damaged too much.

After the boy stopped crying and Akira made sure there wasn't too much damage, he turned to give Miyuki a stern look.

"Well, what do you say?" Miyuki, who was busy tugging on the safety gear Akira made her wear, looked up startled. Akira frowned at her confused expression. "Tell him you're sorry."

"Oh!" She nodded and quickly rushed to the boy. "I'm sorry you were in the way. Next time you should look where you are going."

"Miyuki!"

The brunette ignored Akira and continued to stare at the boy before her wiping his tears. "My name is Saito Miyuki." She waited as patiently as a four year old could before starting again. "Well, what's your name?" The small boy with glasses jumped at the demanding tone. "I-Irie S-Shoichi."

"Sho-chan, let's be friends okay?"

-flashback over-

"Is that really what happened?" Byakuran looked at the two rather amused.

Miyuki nodded and glanced at Shoichi. "Yeah, but he didn't want to be my friend."

"That's not true!" Shoichi cried from the bed. "I was just really confused, you hit me with a Bo staff, your 'apology' wasn't really for hitting me. Then you demanded we be friends."

"Sho-chan, I didn't demand it."

"You were a very demanding child, Miyuki."

"I think she's still demanding."

"Nobody asked you, Byakuran."

Okay, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently in China teaching English to adorable kids. I promise I'll try to update more often. Also, Akira will be in the story soon so I think I'll skip the ring battles. Miyuki won't really have a role to play in them but I am going to write the intro to the ring battles, I apologize for messing up Basil ahead of time. I have a blog for my time in China if you would be interested in checking it out. You can just message me for the website. Thank you to everyone who follow/favorites and please review. I hope this chapter was okay, I thought it would be nice to know a little more about Shoichi and Miyuki. Please tell me what you think about skipping the ring battles. I really think Miyuki should train with Akira during that time.
