Recap

"Is that really what happened?" Byakuran looked at the two rather amused.

Miyuki nodded and glanced at Shoichi. "Yeah, but he didn't want to be my friend."

"That's not true!" Shoichi cried from the bed. "I was just really confused, you hit me with a Bo staff, your 'apology' wasn't really for hitting me. Then you demanded we be friends."

"Sho-chan, I didn't demand it."

"You were a very demanding child, Miyuki."

"I think she's still demanding."

"Nobody asked you, Byakuran."

"Wake up!"

Miyuki shot up and cried "Are the Germans attacking?!"

The man gave the girl a confused look before his red eyes landed on a book about World War II. He sighed and slowly spoke "The Germans didn't attack the Japanese, Miyuki."

Miyuki, now aware of her surroundings blinked twice. A tall man with red hair and eyes that matched stood before her, wearing a white button up shirt under a black suit. "Akira?"

"Now that you're awake and aware you aren't in 1939, we need to leave. So quickly get packed, bring only clothes good for training."

Before he could leave, Miyuki called out to stop him.

"Yes?"

"I know the Germans didn't attacked the Japanese. But attacking someone at four thirty in the morning seems like something they would've done."

Akira shot her an annoyed look before slamming her door.

"I know he wants to train me, luckily I haven't exactly been slacking lately but, I wonder where we are going? For how long? I have school this week." Miyuki sighed while packing clothes into a backpack. "Wait! I have school today."

"Miyuki, stop talking to yourself, pack faster. You won't be going to school this week."

She wanted to ask if her parents were aware of that, however, she's learnt over the years not to question Akira too much.

"How much do I need to pack?"

"Depends, do you want to wash your clothes in the river this week?"

"So, a weeks worth of clothes. Man, I should probably call Shoichi, he'll be worried if I just disappear." Miyuki mumbled to herself while checking over her bag.

PHer bedroom door was opened again and Akira stood in the doorway with a confused expression. "You're still friends with Shoichi?" Akira watched amused as Miyuki started to tense up, he'd hit a nerve. Though, he hadn't meant to, this time.

"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be? Sho-chan is my best friend, he's been my best friend since the day in the park ten years ago!" Her green eyes flared with different emotions, annoyance, anger, confusion, with a few more harder to recognize. Or maybe Akira didn't want to acknowledge the other emotions, whatever they were.

With a sigh, the man reached over and ruffled the brunettes hair. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. However, a lot of people your age start to drift away from childhood friends and meet new people. Eventually the childhood friends will be just a memory."

"Shoichi will always be more than a memory."

His eyes softened at her words, he couldn't argue with that.

"Hurry and call whoever you wanna let know you're leaving for a week."

"It's only for a week, and I'll be with Akira the whole time. You're making it sound like I'm running away and I'll never speak to you again." Miyuki let herself fall back onto the purple sheets. "I'm surprised you answered the phone this early."

"I didn't think you would be calling at five in the morning for a stupid reason."

"Yeah, well I better go. Akira might kill me if I waste anymore time. Bye-bye."

"Bye."

Miyuki sat up in her bed, stretching one last time before she left her bedroom. "Guess it's time to go." She threw her backpack on and headed to the kitchen.

"Are you going to tell me not to eat or I'll throw up?" Miyuki questioned Akira while reaching for an orange. Akira snorted replying "of course, then I'm going to starve you at lunch time if your teammates don't understand working together."

The brunette looked up from the Orange she was peeling. "Do I get teammates?!"

Akira walked behind her and started shoving her towards the front door. "No, one of you is enough."

"So, when did you get back to Namimori?" The two had been walking through the town for ten minutes heading towards the forest.

Akira glanced down at Miyuki, it was still dark and she noticed his ruby eyes almost looked black in the darkness. "I got back here last night, I-"

"Yamada-san?!"

Miyuki watched in amusement as Akira tensed.

"Ryohei."

Akira turned to the boy with an unimpressed look.

"You're up early Ryohei-san." Miyuki smiled brightly at her friend's older brother.

"I'm training to the extreme!"

"Well, continue training, we have somewhere we have to be. Maybe we can chat some other time." Akira spoke quickly grabbing the hood of Miyuki's jacket and pulling her away from the boy.

"Wait! I want to ask-"

Akira cut the boy off while still dragging Miyuki away. "Another time."

When Ryohei was out of sight, Miyuki pulled away from Akira. "Why are you do mean to Ryohei-san? He just wants to be extreme friends."

"I will make this training extreme, don't push me."

Sighing, she continued to follow him out of the city.

Miyuki stares at the end of her Bo staff frowning. "You left too many openings, you'd be dead." Akira spoke from above the girl, still not moving the Bo staff away from her face. "Death by Bo staff?" Miyuki rolled her eyes, causing Akira to frown and lean down closer to the girl. Reaching into his pocket he slowly pulled out a blade, placing the dull side against her cheek he whispers. "Would you ever trust your enemy to play by the rules? Be prepared for anything." With that he pulled away from her and pocketed the blade.

"I brought you a present." Akira grinned down at the brunette.

"I'm not sure I want your present." She couldn't imagine Akira grinning like that as a positive thing.

Akira's grin dropped as he gave her an unimpressed look. "Miyuki, I went through a lot of trouble to get you this custom made gift and that's how you respond?" Laughing awkwardly the brunette responded. "Well, you just looked too pleased with yourself and that could be a bad thing for me." The glint in his red eyes as he smirked made her realize she was right.

He reached into his bag to pull out a medium sized box. "Here." He tossed the box to Miyuki, she frowned at she stumbled to catch it. "I hope it's not breakable, I almost dropped it!"

"We are in the middle of the forest, why would I give you a nice fragile gift here?"

"Right, I knew that." Miyuki mumbled as Akira scoffed. Ignoring the man, she started to open the box.

"What's this?"

Inside the box was a staff, though it was different than her Bo Staff. A three section staff, reaching into the box to pick it up she frowned. How much did he pay for it? The material wasn't cheap wood, though she didn't know enough to say what kind of wood it was. The staff is beautiful though, dark brown with a red tint. Though, it's heavy, heavier than her Bo staff. She'd have to train just to get use to the new weight.

"I was going to get you a purple one, however, I felt like adding purple would've taken away from it and make it look rather tacky."

She decided not to respond to that, after all adding purple to it would've actually made it look tacky. Not that Akira needed to know that.

"So, give it a try." The red head encouraged her, though she noticed he took quite a few steps back. "I'm not sure what to do..." She mumbled lifting the staff up and stepping away from the box. "Just give it a try, it doesn't have to be perfect."

"If you say so..."

She should've known it would've happened, Akira was too pleased with himself about the gift, he'd even stepped away from her! Regardless thinking about the past didn't help her and she held her head in pain. She followed his instructions and gave it a try, the problem was it decided to come back and hit her in the head. It wasn't a soft tap either. So now while Miyuki is on the ground in pain, Akira is standing over her laughing.

"I hate you!" She called out over the painful ringing in her head.

"Ahaha, I'm sorry."

"Liar!"

"Okay, but we need to start your training with the staff now. Stand up, if you want I brought so protective gear."

"I really hate you." She mumbled still on the ground.

This should be bold but since I updated my iPad its been horrible and doesn't do like I want it to do. Stupid update.

Okay, so no ring battle for Miyuki. Sorry, but I've got so many amazing ideas for the future arc so I want to get there as soon as possible. What do you think of Akira? Do you like him? Sorry the update took forever. They took KHR off crunchy roll! I was using that to write. I'm not happy with them. Oh if you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know. I've kind of got the teaching thing down so I should be able to update more often.

Please review, it helps. Thanks to those who follow/favorite.

If there's something you think I should change feel free to tell me. If there are any mistakes I'm sorry.
