A/N: I apologize for always posting so late. I have had a lot going on and I couldn't get to writing. But I am better and will have more time now. I hope you guys have been enjoying the story so far, and hope you enjoy this chapter!

Emma spent her entire Sunday locked in her room, didn't eat, didn't talk to anyone, had her phone off, and only left to use the restroom. She spent her day studying, reading, sleeping and crying. Even when Regina tried knocking on her door she would just yell out "I'm busy" or "can't today, just wanna be alone." The girls couldn't figure out what was wrong with Emma, she had never acted like this before and they weren't sure what to do.

In her room, the only thing Emma could do was cry and sleep and study. She had exams beginning tomorrow and she personal troubles would not change that. She fell asleep crying again while studying and didn't wake up until six o'clock in the evening. She turned on her back and lied their in silence. She couldn't cry, she couldn't lift up a book, and she couldn't think. She felt completely empty and drained. It wasn't until she heard the front door open and Regina's voice that she managed to flinch. She could hear her having a conversation with someone, but couldn't hear another voice. She is probably on the phone, Emma thought to herself, probably with Robin. She normally didn't care to listen to what her friends were talking about on the phone, but she heard her name mentioned, followed by "locked in her room still. I don't know what is wrong, she doesn't let me in and I am getting more and more worried. This isn't healthy and I don't know what to do." The thought of her friends worrying killed her. She didn't want anybody worried about her when they have so much other stuff going on in their life.

"I'm going to stay in tonight, I think me being here is better and I can see Robin again tomorrow or something, I know he won't mind. I have to go, but can you tell him to text me when he can please? Thank you, I'll let you know how she is doing."

Perfect, her friends were starting to give up on their plans because of her. She hated the thought of people putting their lives on pause for her, even for a moment. She only wanted to study and be alone and knew that her friends wouldn't drop the issue as to why until she went out and talked to them.

Suddenly Emma heard the front door open and could hear Ruby's voice asking for her, followed by Mary Margret mumbling about, food? She knew this was never going to end unless she talked to them. She knew that she could tell them what had happened, but they didn't need her troubles on top of the stress they have with exams and the wedding planning. Maybe after it all, maybe when there was more time maybe she will tell them. Tomorrow she started her first two exams, if she went out and just told them that she just wanted to focus and study and didn't have time to go out, maybe then they will leave her alone without worrying so much. She decided to read two more chapters before going out to talk to them, she knew that they were going to be there for a while and that she would let them get all their gossip out before talking to them.

It wasn't until three hours later when Emma finished studying and reviewing her second chapter that she decided to get dressed and go talk to her friends.

It was pure silence when Emma walked out of the room. Nobody knew what to say, until Ruby stood and said "Hi Emma, you're up and at 'em!" followed by her friend walking up to her and giving her a hug. Emma didn't realize how quickly she jumped back when feeling someone touch her until she saw her friends face.

"Sorry, I guess I'm just jumpy from sleeping so much." She didn't think her excuse made any sense but her friends didn't seem to care.

"We are just happy to see you aren't in bed anymore. What have you been up to? We haven't heard from you since you left the restaurant." Mary Margret slowly walked up to her, knowing that if she attempted to hug her, she would be rejected just as Ruby was.

"I just need to study, I have been studying all day, two exams tomorrow and I need to review three more chapters. Sorry I haven't been out today, just need to focus." She tried to get all her words out sounding as confident as she could.

"We understand, exams are crazy and stressful, we were just worried and you had your phone off, your phone is almost never off. I am just glad to see you are okay." Mary Margret sighed out with a small smile.

Okay? Emma thought, I am not even close to being okay.

"I'm sorry I had you all worried. But I am okay, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm fine and I just really need to focus on studying, this week is going to be hectic for me." She didn't mean to sound as harsh as she did, but she also wasn't in the mood to fake a sweet tone. "I really have to get back to studying, I'm gonna grab an apple and see you guys later?" Emma backed up out of the sitting room after grabbing the apple, then turned and walked into her room.

"That was not 'okay'. She seems really upset." Mary Margret said concerned and worried.

"It has to be the exams? Or what else could it be?" Regina asked plopping back down on the couch. "What the hell happened yesterday?"

"Could it be Neal?" Ruby asked, "She saw him twice in the same day, the second time with another girl."

"You think she is still upset over that? That isn't something she would normally care so much about."

"I don't know, but I hope that after exams she is back to normal and not lying about what is wrong." Regina sighed out, not knowing what else to do about her friend who was obviously still hurting over an unknown reason.

"How was she when you saw her last night?" Mary Margret turned to ask Ruby. "You said you and Killian found her outside her apartment?"

"Yeah, we were going to the front of the building, but saw her come out from the side, it was dark, but she didn't seem so bad, just like she wanted to get inside, like right now."

"We?" Mary Margret seemed surprised to hear it wasn't just Ruby who was there to find Emma.

"Yeah. Killian saw when I went to find Regina and he asked to join me and help look. We checked the parking lot first to see if she even came back home, and once we saw her car we went to the housing and yeah, that's when we saw her." Ruby's tone seemed annoyed that Mary Margret really needed the details, this was obviously not the time to worry about the details.

"Killian called me earlier today asking about her, I didn't know what else to say other than she hasn't left her room, he wanted me to tell him if anything changed." Regina admitted.

In her room, Emma could hear the mumbling of her friends having their conversation, knowing they were talking about her. She was growing angry and frustrated and wanted to go out there and ask them to stop. She thought telling them that she just wanted to focus on studying and being alone would make them stop questioning her and just drop the issue and let her deal with it. She needed her space, not just physically, but she needed the peace of mind knowing the world is going on and nobody is stuck worried about her. She didn't want to talk about what happened, and she didn't want to remember. Thinking about the sickening feelings she had when attacked, the thoughts of regret and disgust, the pain of every bruise and and scratch left on her skin. She didn't want to think about it. She couldn't afford to jeopardize her future by messing up and not passing her exams. But she couldn't shake off the feeling. She couldn't get rid of her guilt, like it was her fault that Walsh was in that position, that she made him into that, as if she caused him to get that drunk because of the scene/breakup at the party, she felt as if the main one at fault was her.

That night as she lay in bed ready to sleep, she could feel her heart sink into her chest and her body went still. She couldn't move, couldn't call for help, and felt as if she could barely breathe. She managed only to move her eyes, shifting her stare to the clock. 11:57, it read. She remembered falling to sleep, the room seeming to sink down around her as she stayed in pure darkness.
