"Let me talk with Sting, right now!" Lucy demanded as she stormed into a dreary bar, known for being Saber tooth's propriety.
"Woah, hang in there girl, you can't burst in like it's nothin'!" A man, who goes by the name of Orga Nanagear said, as he grabbed Lucy by the shoulder but was immediately shook off.
"Where. Is. He?" She was loosing her patience.
"Now, now, why do you need to meet the young mister, I have no memory of a meeting between the 2 of you...well, so early in the morning that is, ehehe."
"Watch out Rufus, she might bite ya if you come any closer! Hahaha!" Orga warned the boy with long blond hair who had slowly approached them by then.
"I have to talk with that bastard. Where is he." Lucy asked again without giving other details. You have to always be careful with this type of people.
"Well, you don't have to wait anymore, cuz your 'bastard' has come." The girl turned around to see the man she was searching for, looking down at her from the second floor's balcony.
"Why did you come so early?" He asked, leaning his cheek on his right hand as he smirked down at her, but Lucy remained unaltered.
"You sure like to mess around with other's life." She growled as she glared at the now surprised boy.
"What are you talkin' about?"
"Don't play dumb! I know what you did yesterday!" She shouted reaching her limit and strangely Sting's eyes widened. The fun was completely gone and in its place there was a seriousness that wasn't his. Carefully, he glanced around, noticing that everyone had stopped only to listen to the drama that was going on there. He looked behind him to see Rogue leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. He motioned their room with his head before walking away.
Sting turned back towards Lucy to glare at her and say: "Come in my room. Now." Before disappearing from there and leaving Lucy with no time to protest. Immediately the girl was pushed up the stairs and into his room, by the other students who knew the boy's easy bad mood and didn't want to be beaten up for no reason.
After she was thrown, in the room harshly the girl muttered some curses as she got to her feet, while whipping her knees. Soon her attention was caught by a brown cat staring up at her. Once they locked eyes Lucy could have sworn she had seen the cat look at her with a cocky smirk.
"Lector come." Sting said from across the room and as he called the cat, it slowly turned around scoffing with its nose in the air, pretending that he had never seen her.
"So. What were you babbling on about, back there?" He asked once again, but this time in a serious low voice, seeming almost another person.
"Didn't you hear? I know what you did yesterday. You and your dirty tricks, when will you ever stop being such a disgusting jerk and let people live their lives?" She answered him, clutching her fists at her sides. She was glaring with everything she had at the man in front of her, who seemed to respond negatively at her attitude.
"You sure have guts girl, but you better not anger me." He said as he slowly walked around his desk and approached her.
"You've come here to tell me you know what I did yesterday and insult me about it. I bet you would do the same thing if you were in my position."
"Haaah? Oh boy, I guess you really are freakin' insane." The girl insulted him once again, making him glare at her.
"What sick mind would do that?! Do you even understand what you did? What you're doing?" She poked him on his chest, as she rested her other hand on her hip. Sting suddenly raised his right hand in the air clutching it in a fist, but Rogue appeared out of nowhere behind him and stopped him before he could deliver the hit. Lucy backed away quickly surprised by his actions.
"You little!"
"Sting calm down!" Rogue said, now trying to hold down the boy from attacking Lucy.
"What the fuck do you know!? Haaa?!" He growled at her, making her take another step back. Looking at the furious boy in front of her, she could somehow see Natsu. His sudden explosion, change of eyes and, above all, the behavior, it was too similar to Natsu. Now she was starting to get scared by the boy's menacing aura.
"I did everything in my fuckin' power to help her! But I can't do anything from where I stand right now!" He shouted as he furiously shook his head, trying to free himself.
"E-eh?" Lucy was now looking at the boy with confused and surprised eyes.
"They suddenly took her and moved her to another hospital, because they knew we were visiting her!" He said as he finally freed himself from Rogue.
"W-wait a secon-"
"Because I stayed for too long the last time I visited her, I got caught and now they're keeping her locked in a fuckin' room guarding her 24 on 24!"
"Sting, please calm down already!" Rogue said, taking him by the arm, but was immediately shook off.
"Don't you understand I'm worried?! I'm freakin' afraid they might hurt her again, even now, I don't know what she's doing! Fuck!" He said as he kicked one of the chairs away, before crouching down and scatter his blonde hair.
"W-who are you talking about?" Lucy took courage to finally ask, jolting when she met his deadly glare.
"What?" Sting simply asked, as he didn't move his eyes from her. He was staring at her, like a predator would do to his prey.
"I-I.." She tried to say, as she backed away once again while putting a hand on the handle of her whip, when she saw him raise to his feet.
"I d-don't understand what you're saying... I absolutely have no freaking idea what you're rambling about. Hospital? Hurt her? Who are you talking about?" She said the last part with a little more courage, when she saw the man froze in his place.
"Fuck..." He whispered as he brought a hand to his eyes and slowly backed away until he touched his desk and leaned on it.
"This is bad...this is so bad."
"It's ok Sting. We'll manage to come out of this mess somehow." Rogue tried to comfort his best friend as he put a hand on his shoulder.
"Bullshit...We're never gonna save her..." He raised to his feet and walked towards the window. Lucy was surprised by Sting's behavior. He wasn't the guy she knew and the same goes for Rogue. Something happened to those guys making them different or making them show their true colors.
"Sigh...Either way." Rogue said, giving up on trying to talk with his friend and turning to face Lucy.
"Why'd you come bursting in shouting you knew what happened yesterday, if you actually knew nothing. If you're perhaps trying..." He said, slowly taking a step towards her. His cold red left eye bore into her brown eyes, making her shiver.
"Trying to find a secret just to blackmail us, we'll make sure you won't talk. Forever." As he finished that sentence the two young male teen now stared at her, making her understand that they weren't joking. The atmosphere in there was so heavy that she could almost feel its weigh on her shoulders. Lucy gulped and said with a straight face:
"I didn't come here with such intent." Yes, she was scared, but she didn't want to get into some troubles, which in first place, didn't belong to her and didn't need.
"I know nothing of this situation you're in- N-nor do I want to know!" She immediately added.
"I came here because, someone yesterday sent some thugs on my dat-! On my day out with my friends." She explained them the situation, receiving a confused look from both guys.
"What? Thugs?"
"Yeah, I heard some of them say that a saber tooth man, sent them after me."
"So you thought it was us." Rogue finished her sentence, and Lucy slightly nodded.
"What the fuck? Why the hell would I send someone after you on your freakin' date with Natsu?"
"Date with Natsu? This girl knows him?" Rogue asked Sting, surprising the girl.
"W-w-wait, how do you kn-"
"Yeah, I saw them once talkin' on the street even though..."Sting explained as he glanced at the girl.
"I don't really know the connection between those two." Suddenly feeling a chill run down her spine she immediately said:
"Y-you're wrong! I-I don't know that person!"
"But I saw you two on the street that day, and you looked like you knew each other quite well."
"I already told you that you're wrong!" Lucy shouted, stressing each word in part. Sting looked at her for another bit before turning around and going to his desk as he looked at the time on his watch.
"Anyways, we've lost too much time, we have to start the mission otherwise they're gonna jump at out throats, and no." The boy said before Lucy could say anything, freezing her on the spot with her mouth open.
"I have no fucking idea who's the man that sent those thugs after you. But it was none of us for sure. As you unfortunately heard, we had other stuff to deal with."
"I-I see..." She silently regretted accusing them without even having evidence.
"We also hope you won't say a word about what we said earlier." Rogue said taking a step towards her. His cold stare once again sent a shiver down her spine. His only presence gave off a strong and menacing wave and even if she had never seen him fight before, she had no doubt that he was better than her.
"I-I won't say anything..."
"You better, otherwise we'll turn you to dust, you understand me?"
"Yes..."
"Hey Rogue, how about this one?"Sting asked Rogue, and handed him a piece of paper once the black haired boy reached him.
"No good, I heard some boring stuff about this school."
"Ok, then what about this one?" They kept on shifting over papers and papers, almost forgetting about Lucy.
"Why do we have to do this..." She whispered so quietly to herself, that she was really shocked to hear an answer from Sting.
"How many times do I have to tell you that we have no choice? It's an order from the principal and we can't do nothing 'bout it, 'kay? If I could, I wouldn't do it too and now get your ass over here." As she came near the desk her eye immediately noticed a familiar structure, it was the fairy tail school.
Involuntarily she took a quick glance towards Sting and then Rouge. She stealthily tried to hide it under the other photos. She didn't know why she did that but she felt deep inside her, a strange feeling almost like worry just thinking that they could find it and realize that she was attending that school. After a couple of minutes of searching for a school really far away from fairy tail, but getting rejected time and time again. She hovered all of her weight on her right arm which was resting on the desk, and put her other hand on her forehead releasing a heavy sigh.
"You guys sure are picky about a lot of things."
"We have our reasons." Rogue replied to her from her right, but she only rolled her eyes and whispered:
"You guys are also very different today...You almost look like you care for humanity..."
"Whatcha murmuring over there? We were always like this..." Sting surprisingly answered her, but what was strange wasn't the fact that he once again heard her even if she intently whispered lowly to test him, but his closeness. He was right behind her.
His body was so close that she felt his breath on her ear when he spoke. Petrified, Lucy saw Sting pick up a photo that was under her nose and mumbled something to himself before calling Rogue's attention who slowly walked over to them, approaching the girl quite closely to get a better view of the picture.
"Hey, how 'bout this Edolas school? It's not too far away and I also heard that there are 3 or 4 good people there."
"Hmm...Not bad. What are we gonna do to this one?"
"Dunno I feel like burning something today~" Sting sang, glancing down towards Lucy. They were casually talking, ignoring completely the poor blushing blonde, that they were squeezing between their bodies. It was almost as if Lucy was invisible or something.
"I think it's time to get started. Lu-"
"I-I-I'll wait for you in front of the s-school!" She shouted as she took the piece of paper and escaped from getting squished to death. The 2 young boys looked confused as the blonde ran out of the room quickly, slamming the door behind her.
"What's with her?"
"How should I know?" They said to each other before shrugging it off. Lucy came running out the bar, slamming the door behind her. A stressed sigh left her lips.
"Is there even a boy in this city who knows about personal space?!" She grunted as she passed a hand through her hair and shook her head. She looked down at the paper with a straight serious face before closing her eyes and sigh one last time.
-Earlier that day at Barno's Gelateria-
Ding~ Ding~
The wind chimes on top of the Gelateria's glass door rang as the door opened and showed a true beauty walking in. As she proudly walked inside the store everyone, including women, men and children turned around to look at her, stunned by her appearance.
"Hey Natsu~!" Natsu, who until then was playing on his phone and trying to ignore all the girl who were fangirling over his looks, looked up to lock eyes with Mirajane. She was wearing some rebellious clothes like black high heels, dark tights with hearts, denim shorts and a loose oversize pullover, and on top of her head a black beanie.
"Oh, sup' Mira." He greeted her with a nod, as he closed his phone and put it back in his back pocket.
"So, why did you call me in the middle of the night? Hmm~? The last time you called me like that it was because you wanted to know how to knit a scarf for your 'sister.' Eheheh." She asked with an air of innocence as a waiter took her order.
"Cut your act, you know exactly why I called you out today." The beautiful young lady smiled as she took a sip of iced tea.
"You want to know more about Lucy's past right? And if I were to tell you I don't know anything, would you give up?"
"Obviously no." He smirked at her. "Listen, I don't have all the time in the world, so step on it."
"Eheheh, I know, I know. But I have to advise you I don't know how precise there information are."
"I don't care, just tell me already."
"I've never seen you so interested in someone's past, especially a girl's one."
"Argh are you gonna say something or what?!" Natsu shouted as he raised to his feet, bumping over his glass of water. His patience was reaching its limit.
"We don't know why..." Mirajane started to explain as she cleaned the mess that Natsu did.
"But she kind of have some connection with Jude Heartfilia." The boy's eyes darkened when he heard that name.
"Jude Heartfilia? Who the fuck is that?"
I feel like I've heard it somewhere before ... Natsu thought sitting down again. His handsome face painted by a frown.
-Flashback-
"I'm back ..." A small, bleeding and full of bruises, boy came through the door. He looked around and saw that no one was awake. After all Wendy was in bed, because of her flu and Gajeel was probably at "work", which wasn't really work. He was helping older people take home groceries, in one way or another they rewarded him with enough money to live another day.
Entering the living room, he turned on the TV and threw himself on the couch, with a grunt hearing his bones cracking.
"The great entrepreneur Jude heartfilia has once again touched the peak of his business sector this year. His income bloomed again, and we can say that by now he has at his disposal an "empire" known as Heartfilia Konzern. "
"Tch, empire? I think that bastard is washing his teeth with money that should be used to pay his slaves ... "Natsu snorted, as he walked towards the first aid kit, in order to bandage his wounds.
Ever since his father disappeared, misfortune pursued them. Wendy started to get sick, Gajeel who was the oldest of the three had to leave school and during the day he had to deal with the family's economic affairs, in addition to Wendy's medical expenses, while at night he and Natsu had to fight some gangs in that neighborhood and in the surrounding area in exchange for money. Dirty work, but if to survive and protect his family Natsu would have done anything.
He felt a little bit angry towards those who had the easy life after the Great War, but he knew it was useless. He knew that sooner or later they will also come back up, so that's why he started to ignore those who brazenly showed to the whole world how much they were rich...well that until they angered him, making him beat them to a pulp and thus getting into trouble again.
Returning to the living room he heard again the stupid things that the news was saying, but he ignored it. He threw the first aid kit on the couch and went to take a glass of water.
"Well yes guys, this year but especially for the next ones, we are expecting many contracts and successful businesses. His fortune is untamable, I wonder if there's something underneath that wealth pulling the fortune's goddess in his direction. "The news woman said.
Obviously! they're called 'slaves.' Natsu thought sarcastically, putting down the glass with too much power and thus smashing it.
"Ouch !" He frowned, when pieces of glass went into his hand.
"Na...tsu?" A weak voice said from behind him. He turned to see a small Wendy, with a blanket on her shoulders and a head band around her forehead, watching him from the threshold.
"….What are you doing here? Go back in bed or you'll get more sick-! "Natsu felt his left hand wound, being taken by a pair of small cold hands.
"You... got hurt ... again ..." She whispered placing her lips on the bloody knuckles. As she did that light and wind flew around the hand, taking out the piece of glasses and closing the cuts.
"Stop it, or you're gonna feel worse later..." Natsu whispered with a pained voice, as he pulled his hand away from the grip. He laid the little girl's body on the couch. She was now breathing heavily and shivering, therefore Natsu took the covers next to him and put them on her, before checking her temperature. It had risen again.
"Sigh...Did you take your medicine?" He asked, as he caressed her head.
"Hmm..." She hummed as she saw him take off his shirt and clumsily start wrapping himself with the bandages.
"Then stay in your bed! Geez, you should stop worrying us for God's sake..." He mumbled the last part to himself.
"But I had to tell …Cough cough!...You that I finished...It..." Natsu stopped from rolling the strip around his chest for a second, but then started again, sighing deeply.
The small Wendy looked at him with sad eyes, as he fought to put the strip in place, biting on his bottom lip in pain.
"Do you really have to ... Cough ... ... Fight?" She breathed, knowing the clear and obvious answer that she would always get.
"I've already told you ... If I could, I wouldn't do it too ... But we can't help it. In one way or another we have to move on and among other things this is the only way I can find some traces of where my old man went. Our parents went. " He said with a toothy grin wide from ear to ear, making the little girl smile ever so slightly.
"You're doing it wrong ..."
"Huh?"
"You're trapped in straps." Wendy pointed out how he got his arm and leg tied together by mistake behind his back, making him scream in surprise.
"Ehehe, Natsu-san... you dummy..." The little girl laughed as she rearranged the bands.
"S-s-shut up...You know I'm no good with these things..." The embarrassed boy stuttered, pulling on some strands of his pink fringe.
"And now the last question. Mr. Heartfilia, we all know that your daughter ran away from your home, not one, not two but a good 4 weeks ago! Why? What will you do? Are you worried about her? "This question reached Natsu's ears and looking up he saw a tall, sharp-featured but attractive man, with slicked back blond hair and cold black eyes.
If it weren't for those penetrating dark black eyes, he would have been one stunning man. Beside him was a photo of a little girl with big brown eyes and short blond hair, holding a ball. She was really cute and even Natsu couldn't help but stare at her.
"It sure is a lack that agonizes me, but after all, you know how these rebellious children are. They would do anything to get attention. I can't say that a few times I gave up work to spend time with her. "The man said, showing a smile that seemed as if it were printed on its face. Anyone who had a real vision of life could see how false that smile was.
"Please Lucy, my dear. Come back home, we are worried here. "
"Bullshit." Natsu said changing the channel.
"Poor girl, who knows what danger she might be facing right now ..." Wendy coughed, following with her eyes Natsu put on his shoes and then take his jacket.
"If she's so freakin' rich, why run away from home? It's all a made-up story to attract attention, Wendy, don't believe all the cowplop they say on TV. See you later, now go back in the bed 'kay? "
"O-ok ..." Natsu watched the little girl, slowly climb the stairs before fading on the top floor. Coming out of the house again, he pulled his scarf up seeing that the wind was getting stronger and walked towards the pharmacy to take the medicines for her little sister.
Behind him, a girl stopped from her path due to a strong gust of wind that blew her hood off, and made her golden locks dance in the wind. Trembling the girl put the hood back on her head and got back on her way to her destination, Her dirty and cold feet dragging her small body.
-End of flash back-
"Y-yeah, well... In a way, I remember hearing something about him on TV once ..." The boy coughed taking a sip of water.
"I won't say much, but we think that she's that daughter that ran away, or at least someone that really looks like her."
"Eeeeeeh ?!" Natsu spat everything on Mirajane's face, who remained petrified.
"I-I'm sorry ..." Apologizing, he gave her a handkerchief.
"Don't worry." The girl replied, taking the handkerchief and wiping her face.
"No shit, you're telling me that, that hot chick could be a Heartfilia...Ummm, Sooo?"
"So what?"
"That's all?"
"Yup."
"..."
"Hmm~?" They looked at each other for a sec, before Natsu screamed again.
"What heck?! Is this all you've got?"
"Now, now, Natsu, stop yelling you're disturbing the others. 'kayy~?" The young girl said showing a terrifying smile, as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"y-yes ma'am!" He choked out.
"Then, you don't know shit about her...Sigh...What a loss of time." Natsu said as he opened the door for Mirajane who thanked him.
"Yeah, it's actually kind of sad, but we haven't gone really far. Plus we don't know if it's actually true, it's only a rumor that's been going around..." She added, as they stopped to look at a shop's window.
I'm sorry Natsu, but I can't tell you anything, right now...Mira thought as she sadly glanced at him. The passer by, stopped and looked at them, some of them also took pictures, whispering how cute or hot they looked together and stuff like that.
"Well, I hope you're gonna find something else. I don't like waiting, so I'm gonna figure out some shit by myself-"
"A-actually wait!" Mira suddenly stopped him, taking him by the hand.
"Wha- what is? Geez, scared the crap outta me!"
"There's a way we can find some info, but I don't know if it will work." She said with a troubled face.
"Is it fast?"
"Yeah, but it depends."
"W-why?" The boy blinked repeatedly and gulped, seeing the girl smirk up at him.
- Back to the present, near the Saber tooth bar-
"D-d-damn you M-Mira, I'm gonna kick your ass when I'll see ya!" A tall girl with short curly pink hair said as she punched, making a big hole, the wall next to her...No wait a sec, I-I mean it's a boy, actually Mira has transformed Natsu into a girl and told him where to be and at what time.
"I-I'm gonna make her pay, oooh, how I'm gonna make her pay." He kept murmuring to himself giving off a creepy and scary aura.
"Mama, that crazy man dressed as a woman is talking to himself!" A little kid pointed at Natsu who jolted instinctively and slowly looked behind his shoulder.
"Oh my! Don't look, dear! What a sick man.. standing like that... with his legs...Mumble..." The woman mumbled walking away with her son, and as he heard those words, Natsu looked down to see that he was standing with his legs sprawled open, as he always did. He was wearing a black pen skirt and the split on its right side showed too much of his leg, and his heels, even though small, were hurting him like crazy. Mira told him to keep his legs closed and try to walk like a woman but he couldn't help the habits.
"Craaap, even if I like it when girls wear these thing, it hurts like hell!" He almost cursed out loud, when he quickly saw Lucy come out of the bar and close the door behind her, red as a tomato.
Woah! Luce? He wondered as he carefully watched her mumble something to herself, surprised that she was truly there.
"Boy ..In this city ... Knows about personal space..." He couldn't make out much about what she was saying because there was too much noise inside the bar, but he managed to grab some words from here and there.
Boy? City? Personal space? Did someone fuckin' touch Lucy? Natsu thought making a fist with his hand, imagining what could have happened inside that bar. He suddenly felt her scent getting weaker and as he turned around the corner he saw her slowly walk away in some direction.
They passed by the cathedral, the big square and the hall center, slowly getting near the outskirts.
Where the hell is she going outside the city, and moreover at this hour? Natsu thought, as he slowly followed the girl, without taking his eyes off the back of her head. He was looking so intensely at her that he looked like he wanted to burn it down, to understand what was going inside that woman's head. He was caught off guard when she suddenly stopped and looked behind her, but he was quick enough to turn around and look like he was reading the menu of a restaurant.
Shiiiiiit that was c-close...He thought scared shitless. With the end of the eye he looked towards her. She was sending a message to someone, while looking around her and massaging the back of her head.
I need to get closer... Natsu thought but stopped when a dog bit his skirt from behind.
"Woah!" He said as he almost fell to the ground.
"What the? Shit! Shoo~ shoo~ you crappy dog!" He cursed through his teeth as he tried to keep his skirt on him, making the dog bark and tug even more.
"Woah mama, mama! Look it's the creepy man from before with a dog!" The little boy from before pointed once again at him, petrifying Natsu.
"Oh dear lord! I can't believe he's also a zoophilic...Oh my...Mumble ..Mumble..." The woman once again left with her son giving the teen one of the most disgusting looks Natsu had ever seen. Frustrated he sighed, knowing very well he didn't have time to deal with an old dog or a creepy old lady with her son. He had to follow Lucy otherwise he would have lost her. As he thought that he heard a horrible tearing sound behind him.
"W-w-wait...D-don't tell me..." He slowly said as he turned around petrified.
"Hey you're blocking the way. Move it." A deep and sexy voice was heard, as the silhouette of a man came into Natsu's vision blocking him from seeing Lucy. It was Gray, strangely dressed as a waiter.
"Umm...W-well...Y-you see..." Natsu mumbled as he kept his head low, hearing the dog tearing up even more of the skirt.
Shit, shit, shit, shit, did I say shit? Well shit! What the fuck is that ice-twit doin' here? The boy thought, as he bit on his lip.
"Haaah? Are you deaf or somethin'? Listen, my boss is breakin' my balls about how you're blockin' the way so-!" Suddenly Natsu looked up at him, freezing him for a moment. In reality Natsu was looking at him with a plain bored face but from Gray's point of view, Natsu looked at him with puppy-like eyes. (you know the thing, that shoujo kind of look, with flowers and sparkles all around, you catch the drift)
"S-s-s-s-so w-w-wat a-rjksjeif skffjoadhrnfo?" Gray stuttered, in another language, as his face exploded red as a pepper.
"U-um...Actually I would move...B-but you see...There is something blocking me..." Natsu mumbled pointing with his head over his shoulder. Gray looked over and saw an old dog biting the boy's skirt off.
"What the! Not this crappy dog again, get lost already!" Gray said as he got rid of the dog with some small ice daggers, that didn't hit it.
"Get up, now you're free my lady." The boy extended his hand, showing him one of his best smirks, making Natsu almost puke. Regretting it he took his hand, but as he was about to go up, unfortunately Gray stepped on his skirt and ripped almost half of it. He was quick enough to cover himself, but he was done for. He couldn't take another step without showing something.
"Oh shi-! I'm so sorry here take this!" Gray said as he took his shirt off. Natsu was used to see him naked but when he got close to him to wrap his shirt around his pelvis he sent him flying with a high kick.
"W-w-w-what the fuck do ya think ya doin' you fuckin' pervert!" He shouted as he stumbled 2 or 3 steps behind.
"Woah for a woman you sure have a strong kick." Gray said as he raised to his feet. "And also a deep voice." Natsu jolted, locking eyes with Gray who was now looking seriously at him.
Oh crap, if he gets who I am, I'm done for! He thought as he saw the man slowly walk towards him.
"It somehow feels familiar-"
"Oh my!" Natsu said in the girliest voice he could pull, as he ran towards him stopping right in front of him.
-Gray's vision-
"I'm...I'm really sorry about what happened..." The girl whimpered as she looked up at him with the same puppy eyes as before. Roses slowly opening up around her.
"I'm not used to be touched by really...C-cool...Guys...It's just that I'm really shy..." She said blinking her eyes repeatedly showing him her really long eyelashes.
-End of Gray's vision-
Natsu was biting his lip so strong that blood started coming out. His hands were trembling since he was holding them together with all he got, so he wouldn't punch the bastard he had in front of him. He was on the verge of puking and from far away he looked like he had rabies.
"Well, I could forgive ya if ya kiss me." Gray said, smirking at the boy who wanted to kill him any second now.
"W-whaaaa...?"Natsu, looked at him with a confused look, before seeing Gray pointing a finger at his lips.
"K-I-S-S" He motioned before smiling. Natsu stared for a second at him before shouting at him with the manliest and deepest voice he had, as he took the boy by the necklace.
"The fuck you mean?! Haaaah? You wanna go!?"
"W-w-woah! What the fuck's goin' on with your voice?"
"Oh shit...!" The pink-haired boy said as he let go.
"Ohohoho sorry I kind of have a s-sore throat... Ahahaha..." He falsely laughed as he scratched the side of his cheek, hoping that he would buy that.
"You sure have a damn good grip for a woman..." Gray said as he eyed him.
"H-hey!" Natsu said, afraid that he would discover his disguise. He had to find a way to get rid of this pain in the ass.
"Yeah?"
"W-why don't you c-c-close y-your eyes?" He stuttered as he slowly closed his fist, cracking his fingers in the process.
"Ohhhh, and what are ya gonna do?" Gray hummed as he smirked at him.
"You just do that."
Hurry up, you fucker! Natsu thought as he gritted his teeth in disgust.
"Okay~ But be gentle, I don't know how I'll react..." The boy laughed as he crossed his arms on his chest.
"Oh I sure will~"Natsu replied in a high pitched voice, smirking at the poor boy's idiocy. As hard as he could he punched the boy in the jaw sending him flying through the veranda, knocking over tables and chairs.
He flew so far away that Natsu thought that he settled a new record.
"Woah... I almost feel sorry for him, but I can't help it I have stuff to do...Now..." As he turned around to watch were Lucy was, his jaw almost dropped to the ground when he couldn't see her nor smell her anymore. As he turned around, trying to find a trace of her presence, he slowly turned pale.
"W-w-what...the...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"
Natsu's roar could be heard all over the city.
Lucy's hair scattered aimlessly as a strong wind blew from behind her. She strangely felt like she could have heard someone shout 'fuck'.
"W-what the?" She whispered as she looked around her. It was since she left the bar that she felt strange. First she felt like someone was following her, then the burning sensation she felt at the back of her head and now this strange wind.
"Whatcha lookin' at Lucy? Stop thinkin' about your boyfriend or I'll get jealous~" Sting said as he threw his arm around Lucy's shoulder.
"G-get off me, right now. And let's go." She stuttered as she freed herself from his grip. She put on a black mask, which had some gold stars on the left side of the eye.
"Let's start." Rouge said, and as he said that all the men and girls dressed in black shouted and raised their weapons to the sky. In no second everyone vanished from there.
Lucy looked one last time at the school's doors before sighing and lashing her whip out. She always hoped that it would have been the last time she had to do that, but she knew that this was nowhere near the end.
The students who were taken by surprise tried to fight back the ambush, but it was no use, in no time the school took fire and soon enough distress and madness lashed out, creating the perfect chaos.
"Argh!" A boy cried out, as he fell back after a direct hit by a lighting bolt.
"Marcus!" A girl with white short hair, dressed as a cat ran up to the boy.
"L-Lisanna...Cough cough! P-please...R-run away..."
"No! Don't say that! I will save you! Please hang in there!"
"Hahah ain't that quite nice? You've got such a lovely girlfriend, what a shame, look how I kill her!" A man sitting on a magical staff, laughed as he raised a hand in front of him and shot lightning towards the girl. It was about to hit her, when suddenly the man on the ground appeared in front of her and took the hit for her.
"M-Marcus! You damn-!" Lisanna clenched her teeth as she glared at the boy hovering above them. Her beautiful face showing an angry frown.
"...Go...Cough!" The boy spit out blood as he tried to speak.
"Don't strain yourself Marcus!" The distressed girl screamed as she patted the boy on the back. He wasn't in a good condition, and she didn't know how much time he had left.
"W-why are you doing this?" She shouted, as tears started to form at the back of her eyes.
"Why~? Hmm~ Dunno, maybe...Fun?" Lisanna's eyes widened as she heard those words.
"Aaah!" A woman shouted as she was tossed against a wall, by Lucy's whip. She didn't kill her, she just sent her unconscious.
"Pant...Pant...Ugh...How many left are there?" She wondered aloud, breathing heavily.
"Lucy, we're ready to go. Get lost from there, we're gonna launch the last explosion in 2 minute."
"2 minutes?!" She shouted as she put a hand on her left earphone, surprised by Sting's announcement.
Shit, that bastard, he knows very well that I have little chances of running from here in 2 minute! She thought as she started to run away from there, dodging the falling crumbles from the ceiling and some attacks from here and there. She managed to jump towards a joist and grip it with her hands. Swirling on herself, she gained enough speed to jump even further away on another joist slowly reaching a hole made by who knows what in the ceiling.
As she ran on the joist, dodging and gripping herself on other pieces of woods, she heard a familiar name.
"Lisanna!" As she heard that name she abruptly stopped and looked below her.
"Lisanna, what a nice name...Maybe I should try and take you with me...Maybe make you my girlfriend? Kekeke!" The boy from before snickered as he dodged a kick by Lisanna.
"I'll take you down no matter what it takes!" The short haired girl shouted as she grabbed the stick with her hand so she could turn around and kick the boy's head from behind.
L-Lisanna? Lucy thought, as a tear of sweat ran down her cheek. Suddenly an image of Mirajane appeared in her mind.
That's right! Mira's little sister! She thought once again, remembering.
-Flashback-
"Hey Lucy! Look look!" A happy Mira shouted as she sat next to Lucy on a bench in the back yard of the school. It was P.E time but the teacher had some stuff to do, so they had a free hour to do what they want,. Lucy ran from the class, (like most did) and thought that hiding in the back yard was a wise choice.
"My little sister sent me a picture of her trip to Fiore! Kyahhh! 2 more days and she'll come back!" Lucy grunted as she closed her book, as she was forced to look at the phone. In the picture there was a stunning young lady with clear blue eyes and short hair. She was a looker like her sister but she had more of a childish face.
"Not bad..." Lucy said out loud unintentionally, unleashing a never ending story about Mirajane's life.
-End of flashback-
Lucy shivered at the memory but as soon as she did, 2 wings of the building exploded at the same time, making the structure and where she was even more unstable.
"Cough cough!" The smoke from the fire was so strong that from up there, where she was, she had trouble breathing.
"Aaaahhh!" Lucy's eyes shot open, as she heard Lisanna cry in pain. Looking down she squinted her eyes so she could see trough the rumbles that the girl was trapped under a giant pillar.
"Shit, Jiro are you alright?" A boy came running in to help the boy that Lisanna was fighting.
"Damn, that bitch got me with her l-last one...S-shit I think my leg's broken.,...W-why you!"
"Stop it Jiro, we have to get out of here right now!" The other boy said as he got the boy named Marcus on his shoulder.
"Like hell I'm leaving this place! I'm going to make her pay!" As he said those words he raised his both arms over his head and made a ball of lightning.
"Ugh...!" Lisanna could only watch as the ball grew bigger and bigger, knowing she couldn't escape it.
"Light explosion!" As he shouted those words he threw the ball towards the girl who closed her eyes instinctively. But the shot never reached. Lucy jumped in the middle and slapped the ball away with her whip, sending it towards the only way out the boys had.
"God...I'm so gonna repent this later..." Lucy mumbled as she lashed out her whip again.
"W-what the? What the heck do you think you're doin' Luc-!" Suddenly Lucy's whip twirled around the boy's mouth stopping him from talking.
Pulling the whip towards her, Lucy closed the gap between the 2 teenagers and when the boy was in front on her she jumped on his back and kicked the other boy in the face before throwing the guy still caught in the whip, over her head and against a pillar. As she touched ground, the other boy, Jiro, raised to his feet and was about to elbow her in the face, but she was quick enough to dodge it. Turning on her she kicked his left side, sending him 2 feet away.
"Cough cough...W-w-why...Cough cough!!" The other boy tried to speak as he raised his head to look at Lucy. Suddenly a small pearl appeared in front of him and his eyes widened when he realized what it was.
"40 seconds." Lucy said. Before turning on her heels and going towards Lisanna. The white-haired girl watched as the blonde one tried to pick up the pillar that was crushing her legs.
"I-it's...Cough!...It's no use-"
"S-shut up."Lucy said starting to feel dizzy because of the smoke.
"20 more seconds till the explosion." The pearl announced, making Lucy panic.
"Shit!" She said as she put a hand on her keys instinctively, but she knew she couldn't use them in that moment.
"L-let me go! Cough cough! Go ….Go save yourself-"
"Will you shut up already! I'm gonna save you alright? S-so... shut-cough, cough- So shut up already...Pant...Pant..." Lucy shouted gritting her teeth.
"6 more seconds till the explosion."
The blonde girl closed her eyes and smacked her whip on the ground, as she seriously chanted.
"...Fleuve d'etoiles..."
"5 seconds."
Suddenly she opened her eyes and a yellow magic circle formed around her right eye. She raised her hand with the now flowing river full of stars, above her head before she smashed it against the wall in front of her. She did it so the top of the whip would have briskly graze the top of the pillar.
"4 seconds."
As soon as the whip touched the wall it exploded, clearing the path in front of the 2 girls.
"3 seconds."
Shit! I gotta hurry up! The girl thought as she took the girl in her arms and ran straight forward. If it weren't for her strength amulet she would have died there with Lisanna.
"2 seconds."
"Hold on tight!" Lucy shouted as she ran even harder, using the last drip of power from the amulet.
"O-okay!" Lisanna, answered back burying her head in Lucy's neck and tightening the grip.
"1 second."
As soon as she stepped out the building the whole school exploded in flames as rumbles flew here and there, leaving little to see. Lucy opened her eyes to see herself in Taurus' arms. They were far away on the rooftop of a house.
She knew she was a step late, but she was saved by Taurus, who came out of his gate right in time. Panting heavily she smiled sadly at the bull, who smiled back, before taking notice of Lisanna's presence.
"Don't woooo-rry, she just fainted." Taurus reassured her and when she saw that she was truly breathing she sighed.
"But I'm moooo-re worried about you Lucy-sama." Taurus said with a serious tone of voice.
"Thanks...but... there's no need. You -pant- can go now... You've been out for too long-"
"Lucy-sama." The spirit's stern tone of voice made the girl faintly jolt and slightly look up.
"Next time if you need my help call me out. I know you wanted to-" Suddenly Lucy's hand sweep through the air in front of him, and as she did that the bull disappeared, cutting him from talking.
"Y-you know I can't do that..." She whispered as she sadly looked at the girl sleeping in her arms.
