Natsu scrunched up his nose as his cat, Happy, licked his face. Groaning and murmuring he turned around under his bed sheets away from the cat, making it roll down and on its back. The cat then began to meow louder, completely waking up Natsu from his slumber.
"Hmmmm...Ok... ok, I got it!..I'm awake now..." Natsu yawned as he sat up, scattering his pink fluffy hair in all directions. Sometimes Happy really knew how to be persistent.
"You're kinda grumpy today aintcha?" He snickered as he grabbed the little meowing cat and placed it into his lap. Fumbling with its little stomach he grinned widely. He knew that Happy was feeling a little lonely these days, so this was the least he could do to make up to him. Happy meowed happily before jumping out of bed. Walking down the stairs as he scratched his belly, the young pink haired boy played with his phone.
I wonder if everything's ok ... He thought as he entered the kitchen.
"Good morning!" Wendy chirped as Gajeel sneezed and grunted. Natsu ignored them as he sat down on his chair, his eyes glued to his phone.
-Hey, Luce :) How's it going? Is everything ok? Call me if you need anything.
Natsu-
He sent Lucy a quick message and waited silently for a response. But nothing happened. Starring at his phone he didn't even care about the gigantic tower of pancakes placed in front of him and their mouthwatering sweet smell.
"Why does it take her so damn long to answer a message..." He breathed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Maybe she's still sleeping?" Wendy asked as she poured downs the tall tower a ton of maple syrup, while Gajeel on the other hand murmured some unintelligible words before coughing loudly. Natsu scowled as he quickly picked up his fork and devoured his pancakes. Halfway through he saw a strange form wiggle in front of him. Looking up he saw a giant burrito with Gajeel's face coming out of it. Gajeel was blankly looking at him open-mouthed, with some tissues stuffed up his nostrils as he was all wrapped up in his blanket. Natsu almost choked on his food before he swallowed everything all together. Falling off his chair the pink-haired teen clenched his sides as he laughed like a madman.
"Fucker..." Gajeel coughed, glaring dagger at the crying teen on the ground.
"Natsu-san!" Wendy cutely pouted as she put her hands on her hips. The black-haired teen caught a bad cold coming home yesterday, after all, they had to run while dragging Gray for miles under the heavy rain. Sitting back on his chair, Natsu tugged a little at his scarf as he shook his head.
"Ah...Ahaha..Never thought your weakness was a little bit of rain...Pffff!"
"Piss off!" Gajeel coughed furiously as he glared at Natsu with all his might.
"Yeah well, imma go check on Luce, see ya loser." The pink-haired boy quickly gulped down his breakfast, but as he raised to his feet Gajeel stopped him in his track.
"Did you forget about today?" Natsu slowly looked over his shoulder only to find the young sick teen stare back at him seriously.
"You need to help me today ….With my workshop..."
"Shit!...Was it today?...Can't we do it another day?" The boy groaned as he locked his hands behind his head. His nude, chiseled upper body gleaming in the light.
"Natsu-san..." Wendy butted into the conversation, as she placed the plates into the sink.
"I thought... You always kept your word, also Gajeel's very sick today...I believe you should help him for the whole day ….o-out of courtesy at least..." The little girl said as she followed around with her eyes Gajeel jumping towards the door like a bunny in his burrito appearance.
"Ugh...Fine!" Natsu clicked his tongue as he pulled out his phone from his sweatpants and stared down at the hour. 8:45. Wendy was right. It's too early in the morning, of course she was sleeping in on a Saturday morning, after all that happened yesterday. He starred at Lucy's phone number, his thumb hovering over the screen, ready to call it. He sighed as he put his phone back into his pocket. He tried to push any dark thoughts away from his mind, reassuring himself that if something were to happen Lucy would have called him. Or so he thought he could fool himself.
The brass bell hovering over the door rang as a young girl walked into a pretty luxurious cafeteria, her long red locks swaying left and right with every move of her body.
"May I help you?" The waitress asked as she took Erza's coat.
"Thank you, I had a reservation for today under my name. Erza scarlet."
"Why yes, follow me, the others have already arrived, Ms. Scarlet." Following the waitress upstairs, she saw that the whole room was purposely emptied as she asked and that her friends were loudly sitting at a round table in the middle of the room.
"Gray? What happened to you!?" The red-haired girl exclaimed in an alarming tone as she noticed the plaster cast on the young teen's left arm.
"I will explain it later." He said sighing. The boy facepalmed with his other free hand as he remembered whose fault it was.
"Do you need anything?" The waitress asked as she placed a cup of water in front of the girl but Erza dismissed the waitress with her head. Glancing around she saw Mirajane, Cana, Levy, Jellal and Gray waiting for her.
"I didn't want it to come to this, but I have faith in you guys and I know you won't spill out anything of what you're going to hear today." She sighed deeply. Her cheeks tainted a faint pink after she saw Jellal's sweet smile.
"Let's begin, otherwise my sisters' going to question my absence." Mira cleared her throat as she pushed some locks away from her face with the back of her hand. Her behavior slightly different from normal.
"Should we start from our last info?" They all looked towards Gray who raised an eyebrow in response.
"Well, yesterday we went were you told us to go, and you were right." The talking boy was now staring right into Jellal's eyes.
"I don't know how you knew... That those delinquents were going to be there and at that specific hour... But you were right..." Unfazed by Gray's accusatory gaze, the boy with the red tattoo on his face quietly sipped on his tea. Gray knew he was hiding something under that calm attitude of his. He didn't trust him before, needless to say that he trusted him even less now.
"Gray please go on." Erza interjected as she placed her intertwined hands on the table, trying to catch the boy's attention.
"...Yeah,sure...So, we found Eligor and the bastard said that he knew a certain girl named Lucy Heartfilia. He said that she's the daughter of the man who commissioned him to kidnap her. Dead or alive that is." He slowly stressed the last part as the air around them grew heavier.
"Sigh...We don't have enough proof, but I think our dear Lucy is using a false name." Mira breathed as she cupped her glass of water with her hands.
"No shit Sherlock!"
"Cana!" The so called girl slammed her flask on the table before snapping:
"Can we cut the bullshit already and go straight to the point. It's obvious she's Lucy Heartfilia. She ran away from home for a freakin' reason, and now her daddy wants her back!"
"But why now out of all time?" Jellal asked calmly.
"What do you mean?" Gray irked an eyebrow as he tried to crossed his arms over his chest. Everyone was now looking at young tattooed teen.
"What I wanted to say, is that she's been missing for about 10 years now. Until now, her father has done little to nothing to find her." Jellal said placing on the table a stack of file folders which he took from his backpack.
"What's really strange is that until the day of her disappearance he used to invest a certain amount of his income in the stock market, but it all started to change from here, exactly 9 years ago." He said as he showed Erza a certain part on his paper. As the boy explained what he meant to the red haired girl everyone was curiously flipping through his papers.
"Oh my..." Levy breathed, frowning a little, as she saw some scary looking men that the man hired in order to find her. She was really surprised to see written in bold red lines either dead or disappeared under every single profile.
"I don't think our little Lucy is as innocent as she tries to show." Cana whispered to her. The blue haired girl looked up to her, worriedly nibbling down on her thumb.
"And as you can see here, last year there was no money invested to begin with. What's even more strange is that a lot of money...We're talking about 3 million jewels, disappeared from his bank."
"Perhaps a big investment?" Erza asked raising an eyebrow. She silently watched as Jellal shook his head.
"No... I'm carefully tracking down all the incomes from all the agencies around the world, it's clearly an exhausting job, but everything's been normal for the past months."
"Maybe he bought something..." Mira exhaled as she fell back into her chair.
"Perhaps...But what can you buy with that amount of money?" The young blue haired boy sighed as he placed his papers down on the table.
"Damn...You really went all out on this, did ya?" Gray breathed as he gave Jellal a funny look. The other boy smiled at him as Gray murmured under his breath 'freakin' weirdo' while looking away.
"But it's so strange...If they're so famous and rich, how come they never found her?" Mira handed her papers to Jellal.
"My intuition is that they weren't interest to find her...But it's also true that she kept on changing cities every other week. I had a hard time tracking her down since she used different names all the times. She even went on and changed her appearance at one point, so I had to search all the transfer students from every school in the country during that lapse of time. I cannot say that she didn't give me a hard time. Eheheh" Jellal giggled as he slightly shook his head in disbelief.
"There must be a logical reason she didn't want to be found...." Erza ran her fingers trough her hair.
"What do we know about her father? What was his name...Again?" Levy asked placing a finger on her lips.
"Jude Heartfilia." Gray hissed as he glared at his picture placed by Jellal in the middle of the table a few seconds before.
"It's so strange though..."Levy whispered, as she crossed her arms over her chest and pinched her chin.
"What's strange?"
"Eh?" As she raised her head everyone was looking at her intensely. Blushing a little, she stuttered:
"W-w-well I remember when I was little I used to hear about them almost everyday on the news, but I actually completely forgot about them...It's as if...Something changed...As if they didn't want to be in the middle of the attention anymore..."
"Maybe they're doin' something really shady..." Gray added twisting between his fingers the knife that was laying down next to his fork.
"That's what we're concerned about...We don't have any evidence which can testify their questionable actions...Although it's true that it's strange how they slowly slipped into darkness, we can't take advantage of this simple intuition... " Jellal sighed starring down at the man's face. After the young teen's acute observation a heavy silence dropped on them. No one dared to say a word, as they were all trying to figure out all the missing pieces.
"Ugh...I can't stop feeling that Lucy may be in great danger..." Mira whispered as she clasped her hands together in front of her forehead, clearly worried out of her mind.
"Yeah...But what can we do...She won't even open up to us...fuck!" Cana slammed her leg into the table as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"This situation sure is tricky...We need to be cautious of how we move, of how we think or speak... Remember we're doing this for Makarov."
"Makarov?" Gray looked at Erza clearly confused.
"What does the old man have to do with all this?"
"He asked us to help him out...He didn't actually explain why...But he was...worried ..I have never seen him so worried before..." The red haired girl breathed out in distress.
"Well..." Gray cleared his throat before they once again sat there awkwardly in silence.
"What are we goin' to do? It's obvious we don't know enough and we can't just stay still and wait for something to happen."
"Then what do you suggest mr. smartpants?" Cana mocked the boy who scoffed back at the girl, rolling his eyes away from her.
"I think..." Erza raised her head and looked at everyone in the eyes.
"It's time to talk with Lucy. We may get nothing out of her. But we have to try anything at this point."
"And how are we gonna do it?" Levy asked, clearly doubting Erza's plan.
"I think I have an idea of who can make her talk...We just have to pray that everything goes smoothly..."
Small sweat drops rolled down Natsu's tensed arms as he slammed a tire on the ground. Bent over himself he panted loudly before running a hand trough his messy hair as he straightened himself back up. His whole body covered in sweat glistened under the workshop's fluorescent lights. He forgot how tiring Gajeel's job was. And today was even more tiring as he had to do all the job by himself, since Gajeel was too weak to move. The older sick teen was all wrapped up in a scarf behind a desk and for all day he did nothing but bark orders at Natsu, quickly pissing him off.
I swear I'll kick his ass as soon as I get my hands on him. He thought as he glared at the black haired teen. After working non-stop for another couple of hours Natsu's body slammed on the floor as Gajeel tried to turn on the last car, on which the tired teen was working until a few moments ago. A good rumbling sound came out as the motor gradually heated up, bringing a smile to Gajeel's lips.
"This one's good to go, wake up sleepy princess!"
"Fuck off..." Natsu breathed out between gasps as he didn't even have the strength to open his eyes. Glancing at the tired boy on the floor, Gajeel looked down at his watch.
"Guess, this is all for today."
"What...?" The pink haired boy shouted in surprised as his red leather jacked came into collision with his face, muffling most of the words that came out after that. Sitting up Natsu glared at Gajeel and watched how the other teen dressed up for a couple of seconds before realizing it was time to go. As soon as that happened a large grin spread through out his face before he front flipped to his feet.
"Heck yeah, finally! I'm hella hungry!" He quickly followed his friend out the workshop completely forgetting how tired he was a second before. A couple of hours later they reached their home and Wendy heard all the way from the kitchen Natsu's loud voice roar:
"Are you fuckin' kidding me?! You kept me at your damn workshop for the whole freakin' day! You didn't even tell me it was getting dark outside!" Gajeel rolled his eyes as he tried to take his shoes out.
"We had a lot of work to do today, it wouldn't have changed anything if I told you what time it was."
"You mean I had a lot of work today... Freakin' wussy..."
"What did you say, flame brains?" Gajeel snapped back at him before coughing up furiously.
"You're back and you're already fighting?" Wendy quietly giggled as she watched Natsu stomp his feet on the ground like a 5 year old while Gajeel threw his hands up in the air before gripping the pink haired teen by his scarf. Soon after that, their forehead collided together as they called themselves nasty nicknames.
"Ugh yeah yeah, whatever you say flame ass, what's for dinner Wendy?" Gajeel finally gave in when he was too tired to deal with his dumb friend.
"Yah! I'll kick your ass even if you're sick!"
"Soup!" Wendy chirped as Gajeel strolled behind her into the kitchen.
"Don't you dare ignore me-WAH! Happy!" Natsu shouted as he ran behind them, but midway through he was taken aback by Happy's sudden attack. The small cat jumped on his head from the top stairs surprising the teen in the process. Holding the purring cat into his arms he smiled down at it. It must have missed him a lot.
Oh well... Natsu thought sighing.
"Natsu, please wash your hands before you eat." Wendy said as she followed with her eyes Natsu's dead body walk towards the sink, after he placed Happy on the table next to a sleeping Charle.
"Hey, Gray called me a couple of hours ago...I must have forgotten to turn on my phone..." Gajeel muttered as he slowly ate his soup.
"Well, he must have sent you some texts. What does he want?" Natsu sat down next to Wendy before liking his lips. He was practically drooling as he watched the big bowl of soup in front of him. Smiling to himself the pink haired boy hastily dug in without even waiting for Gajeel's answer.
"Hmmm...Yeah soooo, he met up with the others, and he practically said that the story is more fucked up than we thought." The sick teen coughed as Charle hissed at him.
"Can I... Know what you're talking about?" Wendy asked, timidly eying Gajeel who was clearly frowning as he read trough his texts.
"It's...About Blondie...God, he says that her father even hired an assassin to get her ….Freakin' psycho..." At those words Natsu stopped in his tracks and stared blankly in front of him for a couple of seconds before raising his head.
"What?"
"An assassin...Why would a father do something so terrible like that..." Wendy breathed, as a painful expression made its way on her cute face.
"He says that after discussing for a while they decided that they need to get some info directly out of Blondie..." As he said that the serious teen raised his dark and cold eyes to lock them with Natsu's.
"I believe you understand that you're the one they're counting on...Don't fuck this up, blockhead." Natsu's eyebrows came together in a frown as he heard those words. Slowly a burdensome heavy air doomed on them, as no one dared to speak. Even Happy who was glancing back and forth, confused, between Natsu and Gajeel, didn't dare to meow.
"...I'll go take a shower." Natsu breathed as he raised to his feet, almost knocking his chair on the ground and ignoring Wendy's worried gaze.
"But you didn't eat!...any...thing..." The young girl tried to talk to the young teen who quickly stormed out of the room followed by his worried blue cat. As he stomped up the stairs he quickly pulled out his phone and checked for any new messages. There were some from Gray, perhaps the same Gajeel got, Lisanna and Elfman but none from Lucy. Not even fucking one. Biting down some cuss words he scattered his messy hair with his other free hand.
Entering the bathroom he took his clothes off and jumped under the steaming hot shower. He stood there, quietly looking into nothing as the hot water ran down his tanned body, unfazed by how his pink hair was sticking to his face.
His masculine face was showing a serious expression which was quite unusual. Lost in his thought he tried to remember everything that has happened until today. His heart clutched inside his chest and a painful frown made its way to his face, as he pictured Lucy's pained face.
"Fuck!" He snarled as he punched the wall to his side. He never felt like this before, so why was he so worried and protective of that girl? What angered him the most was that strange feeling of uselessness piling up in his gut...What could he do?...He had no idea. And above all, everyone was expecting him to get some clues out of that girl...But what could he do, if he couldn't even reach her. Stay close to her. Protect her.
Should I... He thought as he turned off the shower's faucet. He slowly ran a hand trough his wet hair as a groan left his lips. Should I go see her now? He bit his lower lip as he turned around and stared down at his stone still phone on the sink.
-Back to Lucy-
Groaning and grimacing from the pain, Lucy reluctantly opened her eyes. She slowly waited, motionlessly, until her surroundings came into focus.
My...bedroom...She thought as she tiredly moved her eyes around. Sighing, she realized that she was laying on her back, on her bed. Closing her eyes, she tried to remember what happened yesterday and in the blink of the eye everything came rushing back as reality hit her hard. Her eyes shot wide open as she raised up into a sitting position.
The poor girl screamed her lungs out, as she didn't expect all the throbbing pain coming from every part of her body. She laid there in silence, clutching her sides as she bit down on her lower lip so hard that blood would have come out sooner or later.
I'm so stupid...She though as she tiredly panted and glanced towards the window. Dark.
Did I pass out for a whole day? She thought as she looked down at her legs, slowly realizing that they were entangled in a messy gauze, mostly wrapped around her broken leg. Confused about it, she also noticed one of her keys laying next her. Loki's.
Please let me have enough power...She prayed in her mind as she placed a trembling hand on the key. Nothing happened.
"Fuck..." She breathed as she hopelessly sighed, her shoulders dropping down.
Why am I so unlucky? She bitterly though as tears started to form at the back of her eyes. Softly a golden light came from her key.
"Lo...ki?" She blinked a couple of times before seeing the light growing stronger. Placing her hand once again on the key the spirit managed to come out of the gate panting heavily.
"Loki-?"
"Lucy are you alright?! Is everything ok?! Does it still hurt?!" The young teen showered the blonde girl with questions as he worriedly grabbed her hand, ignoring the strain he had to go through in order to pass through his gate.
"I'm o-ok...But my body hurts like hell..." Loki sighed as he took his jacket off and rolled up his dress shirt's sleeves.
"I need to be fast...I don't have a lot of time." The boy shushed the confused teen as he grabbed the gauze he had hastily wrapped around the girl's broken leg before a couple of hours ago. He quickly yet softly grabbed the leg and inspected it, trying to see how broken it was. Lucy blushed furiously under the boy's sudden touch.
She obviously tried to fought against him but to no avail, in the end she silently watched as the boy's hazel eyes and firm fingers traced her leg. Starring at his face she remembered his scary expression from before and gulped down the lump in her throat. Frowning, she unintentionally grasped her bed sheets between her fists, wondering if she would ever see it again.
"Can you raise your arms?" Loki's serious voice pulled the girl out of her thoughts and back to reality.
"W-what?" Lucy blinked a couple of times, as she didn't hear what the boy said.
"I believe you have a couple of broken ribs and I want to make sure they didn't pierce any organs. " He quickly explained, as he inched closer to her. Only in that moment she realized that the boy was crouching down between her legs.
"W-w-w-whaaaa?!" A little bit baffled, the girl blushed as she tried to form a coherent phrase.
"Lucy!" He grabbed her by her hands, which he had bandaged a second before.
"I-I..."
"I don't have a lot of time, and you don't have enough power to keep me out of my gate!" She mumbled some incoherent words before slowly raising her arms in the air, grimacing in the process.
"As I thought. I'll take your shirt off." The boy quickly said as he grabbed her shirt's hem. As fast as she could, the girl tried to stop the boy who managed to pull her shirt just above her belly.
"W-w-w-w-w-what do you think you're doing, you pervert?!" She screamed, red as a pepper.
"What do you think I'm doing? I need to check how many ribs you're broken, now let go!"
"B-b-b-but!" She stuttered trying to fight against Loki. Never ever she would have thought a boy would undress her so easily, a boy who wasn't even her boyfriend to begin with!
"Lucy you're ….Sigh...Why are you making all this more complicated than it should be?"
"B-because I still have my dignity as a woman!" The young girl shouted back hugging herself. The young teen facepalmed as he sat on the floor.
"Now it's not time to be stubborn about some petty reason." Lucy pouted at his comment feeling offended by it, but was surprised to hear Loki breathe:
"At least... I'm happy that you're ok now." Her cheeks were still flaming hot and red as she watched the boy flashed her a sincere smile. Just as Lucy was about to ask what was he smiling about, the front door bell rang freezing the young teens into their spots.
"Are you waiting for someone?" Loki whispered raising to his feet, his face turned serious.
"Don't tell me...Those bastards from yesterday came back..."
"I-I don't think so..." The girl trailed with her eyes the other teen reach the door and look down the stairs. They listened as the knocks on the door, soon followed by a male voice, filled up the empty house, even if Lucy hardly heard anything.
"Fuckin' perfect! Natsu's here...Why the hell is he here at this freakin' hour!?" Loki breathed out in distress as he facepalmed, Lucy on the other hand worriedly bit down on her lower lip as she watched the orange haired boy cuss under his breath.
The blonde girl felt her heart beating like crazy and slowly getting dizzy. She was afraid that Natsu could break into her house and see her in that state. In the blink of the eye numerous shivers ran down her spine as his menacing green eyes appeared in her mind. What would have happened? What would have happened if he had found out that Loki was alone with her, in her own house? She didn't want him to go nuts and attack Loki again with the same frighting and brutal force he used when he was pissed off. She seriously didn't want to test her fate after all that happened to her.
"I should check it out before he breaks the door."
"W-w-wait!" Lucy's broken half-whispered half-shrieked voice stopped Loki in his tracks. The young boy turned around only to see the trembling girl trying to raise herself to her feet, but as soon as she tried to push herself she quickly fell back on the bed holding her stomach, her face scrunched up in pain.
"Don't move Lucy! I said I'll go!" The boy snapped back at the girl.
"Please don't! I-I have to open it..."
"Why?!" Loki hissed before looking down the stairs as they heard a loud thud on the front door. They knew Natsu was quickly loosing his patience.
"B-because, first of all, you shouldn't be here!"
"Don't be silly Lucy, I'll make something up-"
"Please Loki, I'm begging you, listen to me!" The girl's trembling voice broke once again, as a single tear rolled down her cheek. Her pleading brown eyes starring into his hazel eyes. He could see her fear and worries eat her from inside. Groaning, the boy scratched his head as his other hand rested on his hip.
"Please...I'll...I'll let Gemini go in my place! I have enough energy to open her gate for a couple of minutes...He's going to break into my house if we don't stop him now!" Staring down at the pleading girl, Loki sighed before quickly walking beside the bed to pick up the keys left on the floor. He picked up Gemini's key and lend it to Lucy but as she reached to touch it, he swiftly pulled it away.
"You know." He started to say.
"You know you're gonna faint once you reach you're limit right?" Lucy quietly gulped before nodding. She knew she had little power left but it was the only thing she could do in that moment in order to avoid total disaster. Hesitant, Loki gave her the key and disappeared into thin air. In his place, Gemi and Mini appeared.
"Lucy!" They shouted at the same time.
"Shh! Gemi, Mini, I need you to transform into me ….And quickly ….Answer the door...You don't have to let him in, try to make him go away quickly..." Lucy wheezed between a heavy pant and another. Gemi and Mini looked at each other before transforming into their owner.
"We'll do our best, Lucy!" The spirit whispered as she helped the gasping girl lay down on her back. Suddenly they heard another thud from downstairs. Jumping into action the blonde spirit managed to quickly jump down the stairs and block the door on time, as Natsu managed to open it.
"H-h-hey!" Gemini shouted as she tried to push the door closed with her back.
"What the?!" Natsu was taken aback by Gemini's sudden appearance but was quick enough to put his foot between the door and the doorstep.
"L-Lucy?" He asked baffled.
"Y-yeah?" Gemini cleared her throat as she tried to push the door closed with all her strength.
Damn this boy is strong! The spirit thought as she bit on her lower lip.
"What the hell are you doin'? Why weren't you answering the door earlier?" Natsu asked, clearly confused.
"Also...." He sniffed the air.
"What's...This strange smell...?" He whispered to himself, clearly not liking what he smelled.
Metal? Blood? What the hell happened here... He thought, trying to identify some of the odors. Startled, Gemini quickly looked around and saw next to her a vase full of flowers. She quickly reached for it and spilled the water over her head, throwing the flowers on the ground in the process.
"W-wait a second!" The spirit said, dropping the vase on the ground.
"Lucy what the hell is going on? I'm coming in!" The pink haired teen said seriously as he started to push the door open.
"W-w-wait d-don't!" Taking her shirt off, Gemini quickly placed her damp hand on Natsu's chest and pushed hard. As she did that, her face popped up from behind the door right in front of Natsu's, whose eyes widened as he didn't expect that. His sharp surprised black eyes trembled at the show unraveling in front of his eyes. He watched as small water drops dangled off Lucy's damp bangs. A couple of them ran down her nose and onto her puffy, slightly parted lips.
"Lu...cy?..." His eyes slowly traced her jawline down to her neck then to her collarbone. He clearly noticed that she wasn't wearing anything, so he thought for a second that she might be naked behind that door. And that thought stuck with him until the end. Quickly his cheeks turned a brilliant red, as the air around him instantly heated up. Noticing all these changes Gemini decided to take it to her advantage. Biting on her lower lip she tried to pull the best flustered face she had.
"I...I was under the shower...so...I couldn't answer, y-you know..." Gemini pushed some locks away with the back of her hands, clearly intending to show more of her neck area, not knowing that by doing that a strong wave of Lucy's smell hit Natsu really hard. The spirit watched in amusement, as Natsu tried to nod, his mouth slightly open.
"Brrr...I might get a cold if I don't go put something on me ahaha...." The spirit joked around a little more running a hand through her wet long blonde hair. On the other hand Natsu wasn't listening at all, as his mind was clouded by all kinds of dirty thoughts.
"Everything's fiiine, I'll text you tomorrow, ok?" Gemini winked at the boy, knowing her time was running short.
"see ya at school!" The false Lucy chirped as she closed the door behind her. She waited for Natsu to go away, listening quietly as she held her breath. Dumbfounded Natsu stared at the door. He didn't realize that he found another thing he deeply craved about her. Before it was her smile, then her sleeping face and now her flustered face. Biting on his lower lip he placed a hand on his chest where Gemini's hand was before, as he hovered over the front door. His heart was beating like crazy.
"Shit..." He moaned as he clutched his chest, before backing away. His eyes remained fixed on the door until the very last moment, before he ran back home at full speed. (fangirling all the way I would add xD) Gemini finally breathed out as she placed a hand on her chest.
"Damn that was close..." The two twins whispered as they slowly disappeared.
