- A new dream-

"Lucy!" The small Lucy slowly raised her head as her big brown eyes met Supetto's worried ones.

"Supetto..." She whispered as she looked back down at her trembling hands. The older woman blinked away the tears forming at the end of her eyes. She couldn't bear any longer to see Lucy so down, so broken at a young age. She was empty, void of any dreams and happiness. The woman glared towards the man on the other hand of the table as she put a bowl full of soup in front of a sulking Lucy.

"Thank you, Supetto, now you may leave." The man said with a smug smirk stretched across his face as he shooed the maid with a twirl of his hand, the one that was holding a glass of wine. The old maid hardly bit on her lower lip as she bowed down in sign of respect. Supetto slowly glanced towards Lucy who also looked at her at the same time, with pleading eyes. She didn't want to be left there alone with that man.

"Eat up Lucy, I need you to have loads of energy for our next experiments. Ahahah!" The man laughed as Lucy squeezed her fists so strong that her nails dug into her skin. She desperately tried to glare daggers at the man in front of her. Her eyes quickly leaking tears without her noticing.

"Yes, father." She spat out as loud and heavy handcuffs slammed on the table. The same kind of handcuffs that could stop ones' magical energy but in this case made only to suck her magic out.

"That's my girl." The man smirked down at the trembling kid before laughing again, his scary and evil laugh echoed through the room and the entire mansion.

-End of the new dream-

Her body was aching even more that morning.

I have to do something about this... She thought sighing heavily, before squeezing her eyes shut as she wanted to get up. Lucy's eyes suddenly shot wide open when a strange cold feeling came into contact with her forehead, causing a cascade of chills run down her back.

Her eyes quickly fell on Virgo's figure that was sitting on the bed next to her. The spirit was cleaning her forehead with a damp cloth, silently.

"How are you feeling, princess?" Virgo asked and Lucy groaned back in response as she ran a hand down her tired face. Images from her dream slowly flew back into her mind.

It was a different one this time ... Still...They're getting way too vivid ... She thought bitterly.

"The dreams?" Lucy's eyes widened when they heard those words. Suddenly she snapped her head towards Virgo. A mixture of surprise and confusion painted on her face. As if she had been caught red-handed. Virgo watched as her owner stared at her with trembling eyes before clarifying with her typical ungracious touch.

"I was wondering if you had dreamed of something strange, since you were panting heavily, like a dog asking for air."

"A-ah ... Y-yeah, sure ...A-ummm a bad dream Virgo, just a bad dream but forget about it, why are you here?" Lucy tried to change the subject as she sat up, grimacing once again in the process. Virgo looked at her in silence before pulling next to her the first-aid kit she had brought.

"Princess." She said, recalling Lucy's attention. The blonde sighed as she saw the gauze in her spirit's hands. In silence she let herself get helped by the spirit to take off her shirt.

Virgo slowly stroked Lucy's back before she placed an ear on it to listen to her lungs and watched the blonde girl's rib cage move as she breathed. In the end she said to her that she might have broken, more or less, 2 ribs on the left and 1 on the right, and that her left lung had a high chance of being pierced if she were to hit that area.

"Most broken ribs heal on their own within six weeks but with this ointment in 2 weeks everything should be ok. Activities are restricted, princess, and I advise icing the area regularly since it can help with healing and pain relief."

"Nah, don't worry I'll deal with the pain, I'm used to it...Kinda..." Putting her shirt back on, her mind wandered to Wendy's powers. She smiled bitterly thinking how easy would it have been if she had been there to help her. The ointment from the spirit world could work miracles sometimes but it can't fully heal the fractures.

What a pain... Lucy sighed standing up, trying to pick up her phone.

"Perhaps it's better if you don't go to school if you're this hurt, princess." Virgo said, watching the blonde lean on the white vanity table, her brown eyes quickly scanning through the various messages on her phone.

"I know, but I can't do anything about it...I have to go or else they might start to worry and end up finding out everything, by the way, did Gemini say anything about yesterday?"

"Gemini said everything was ok. She managed to make the boy leave and said that you were supposed to call him first thing in the morning to calm him down." Lucy almost chocked on her spit before she slowly looked up.

"What?"

"My time is over, princess. I wish you a good conversation." Virgo bowed her head before slowly fading away.

"No Virgo w-wait, what do you mean?! "The blonde threw herself at the spirit but fell face first on the bed. Groaning in disbelief, she reluctantly picked up her phone.

"W-well...It's not like he's going to answer anyways." She breathed out as she ran a hand trough her hair, before she searched for his number, even though she had his number for a while now she had never called him first. The blonde's heart was beating like crazy as she closely listened to the beeps coming from her phone.

Thinking he would never pick up at that hour in the morning she gasped when she suddenly heard Natsu's alarmed voice on the other line. Out of habit she immediately pushed the phone away as she remembered that Natsu had a bad tendency to shout every time he called her, but this time her eyes widened in surprise as she heard a frustrated moan instead of his roaring voice.

"L-Luce?!" The girl bit her lower lip as she stood still on her bed, paralyzed as that sensual sound kept replaying in her head.

"Hello-fuck-L-Lucy? Are you there?" Lucy heard a thud instantly followed by some rustles. The boy cursed under his breath as he somehow managed to fall from his bed.

"Y-yes!" The blonde quickly squealed, obviously a little too late. The girl blushed furiously as nothing could be heard on the other end of the line.

Shitshitshit this is so awkward! She thought, facepalming.

"Sooo..." She heard the boy say, feeling a hint of awkwardness in his voice. The girl was caught off guard when powerful banging noises, perhaps against a door, followed by Gajeel's roaring voice saying something about a job, was heard on the other side of the phone.

"I-If you're busy you can-"

"Nonono w-wait a second!" The boy quickly interrupted the girl who awkwardly stood on her bed in silence as she heard the boys yell back and forth so quickly that she couldn't understand a thing besides some insults here and there.

"You ok Luce?"

"H-huh?" The girl stammered out, startled by his sudden question.

"I-I mean, you didn't catch a cold after all that happened yesterday, didn't ya?"

"Huh? I-I mean no! N-no I didn't!" She quickly answered, wondering what he meant.

"That's a relief..." Lucy heard him breath out in relief as silenced dropped on them again.

"...Ummm, if you have stuff to do, you can go...I don't want to restrain you-"

"Don't worry I have plenty of time." The girl slightly blushed at his answer.

"Did you sleep well?"

"K-kinda..." She replied sadly.

"Why?" The boy asked with a hint of worry in his tone.

"I-it was cold! You know, since it's winter and all...Haha,,," The blonde quickly lied, waiting impatiently for his response, praying that he fell for her lie. He took his sweet time to answer not knowing that the wait was actually were stressful for the girl.

"...Yeah, I bet it was kinda cold yesterday...You know, I can't feel the difference since I'm always hot. Hehe" He joked around at which Lucy scoffed before rolling her eyes.

"Yeah sure."

"Aha! You agreed!"

"W-what?"

"You agreed that I'm hot! So you finally fell for my looks huh...."

"Omg you're so stupid, hahaha" Lucy laughed in disbelief as silence could be heard on the other line.

"H-hello?" She asked when she finally stopped laughing.

"Your laugh is so beautiful...You should laugh more often." Taken aback, Lucy stared in front of her as her face was crimson red.

"S-sorry, did it offend you!?" The boy quickly asked as he couldn't hear anything from Lucy.

"...No..." She whispered as she slowly realized how easy it was for that boy to make her laugh.

"Sooo, let's change the topic ok? Ahahah! Is everything alright with that chick?"

"Y-yeah, she's sleeping." Lucy quickly lied.

"Did she wake up?"

"Yes, but only for a while.." She somehow felt guilty of lying to someone who was sincerely concerned about Yukino's well being. Even though, now that she thought about it she also wondered if she was ok with those guys.

"Great! Then we can visit her when she's awake!"

"N-no!"

"What, why?"

"B-because..." She rolled her eyes as she scratched her head, trying to find a reasonable answer.

"Because I've already talked with her friends about her situation...A-and those friends are coming today to take her, so she's not going to be here for a lot of time" She waited in silence for the boy's answer.

"Then I can come right now-"

"No!"

"Geez Lucy, stop being so jealous!"

"W-what- I'm not jealous!"

"Pff! Yeah, sureeeee, it's so obvious that you're jealous-"

"I told you I'm not jealous!" The girl yelled as the boy laughed his ass off on the other hand.

Losing sight of time, the two teens chatted for the 2/3 of the day. Lucy laughed her ass off, forgetting for a moment the pain that was taunting her. At some point they even started to play "never have I ever" and Lucy was surprised to find out that Natsu had never won against Erza despite being the strongest of the school and that he couldn't eat his flames.

"Ugh I only have 1 finger left!" Natsu whined loudly.

"Kekekeke" Lucy snickered as she still had 3 up. She was about to win for the fourth time in a row.

"That's what you get for being so easy to read."

"S-shut up!" The angry boy barked back obviously in a playful way.

"Then never have I ever had to run away from someone! Hah! Whatcha say about this one huuuh?" A shiver ran down Lucy's back as every muscled in her body tensed. Her mouth was shut into a thin line as she didn't even dare to breath.

"L-Lucy?" Noticing the drastic change, the pink haired boy worriedly asked before a very loud thud made him curse aloud.

"Fuck! Gajeel stop breaking my freakin' door! S-sorry Lucy I have to go now, see you tomorrow at school!" Hurriedly Natsu hanged up on the stiff girl. Her hand slowly dropped next to her, as she heavily sighed. Glancing towards her window she noticed it was dawn.

I guess it's better if I eat something now... The young teen thought before she slowly dragged her aching body toward the kitchen, where she lazily opened her almost empty fridge. Unwillingly she took some snacks and sat alone, and in silence, in that empty room before she decided enough was enough.

"Leo! Gemini!" She said as the so called spirits appeared in front of the teen.

"Lucy!" Gemini, who still looked like her owner, jumped at the girl's neck making her scrunch up her nose in pain.

"Slow down Gemini! She's still hurt!"

"D-don't worry Loki, I'm better now." The blonde reassured the worried teen as she patted Gemini's back.

"So, why did you call us?" The fake Lucy quickly hopped on the stool next to the aching blonde.

"...Just...To talk about school..." Sighing, Lucy ran a hand through her hair as she wondered if to follow Virgo's advice or not.

Fuck it... She thought as she looked at her perfect clone sitting next to her, happily humming to a song.

"I think..." She started to say obtaining everyone's attention. They stared at her, waiting for her to keep talking.

"I think Gemini should go in my place ...Tomorrow at school..." Gemini raised her fists in the air from happiness as she registered what her owner just said, while Loki on the other hand almost chocked on his food.

"W-what the actual fuck?! Lucy no! They're going to find out-"

"They're going to find out a lot faster if they see me hurt like this!" Lucy snapped back as she slammed her hands on the counter just like the boy did before her, only that he also knocked his seat on the ground. The spirits' eyes softened as they saw the girl squeeze her eyes shut because of the pain.

Loki sighed heavily as he massaged his temples with a hand.

"Just...Don't stress your body..." The boy picked up his chair and sat back into it, defeated. Lucy could be really stubborn sometimes. The blonde smiled bitterly as Gemini massaged her lower back.

"I don't mind doing it Lucy, so don't worry." She tried to reassure her owner.

"Gemini, try not to ruin my cover." Lucy stared coldly towards her spirit who gulped hastily before enthusiastically nodding her head. She then smiled at her spirit's cuteness but Loki wasn't amused. He wasn't amused at all.

"And what are you going to do? What if you can't keep the gates open for the whole day? What if you get attacked while we're not around? Can't you see how bad this plan is?!"

"Loki..."

"Just how blind are you to our concerns!? Can't you see we're all dead worried about you?!" The young teen snapped at his friend as Gemini flinched back. The boy's angry eyes widened when Lucy slowly placed a hand on top of the boy's. Her eyes threatening to shed tears at any given moment. Fighting back that urge to cry, she smiled. The boy's shoulders fell as he felt like a dick for what he said.

"I know...I truly know, believe me...A-and I'm sorry... I'll put an end to all this nasty charade." She laughed bitterly as she wiped away a tear. Silence fell upon them as only Lucy's strangled sobs could be heard.

I just hope everything's going to be ok...Please God...I know you hate me...But please...The girl thought as she fell on her canopy bed, with a hand over her eyes.

"Please don't hurt them..." She whispered unintentionally as she bit on her trembling lower lip.

The two spirits, feeling her emotions, looked at each other worriedly before starring back at their owner.

-The next day-

(I'm gonna call Gemini as Lucy from now on because, you know, the spirit looks just like Lucy, I believe it's easier to follow her movements like this, also I know Gemini are two spirits one male and one female, but it's easier to refer to them by saying 'she')

Lucy neatly fixed Gemini's bow as Loki waited by the door impatiently. He quickly glanced at his watch as his foot was stomping on the ground restlessly.

"We're going to be late..." He urged the two girls to hurry up, as Gemini sighed in response.

"We're like 30 minutes early, chill dude." The bored spirit glanced over her shoulder pouting cutely as Loki rolled his eyes. He quickly tugged at his tie as he glanced to his left and watched as Lucy practically hugged herself.

"Behave Gemini." Lucy whispered as she pushed the spirit away, her hands resting on the other blonde's shoulders.

"Don't worry, I got it!" Gemini grinned at her succeeding at ripping a smile out of her.

"We just have to be very cautious." Loki said seriously as he opened the door.

As the two teens were slowly reaching the school's gates, Loki repeated for the millionth time to Gemini that they weren't good friends and that he couldn't help her if she got into trouble, at which Gemini rolled her eyes as she repeated again that she understood it the first time. The girl cutely pouted as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Don't do anything that Lucy wouldn't do." He said sternly as he glanced at the young blonde who stared back at him in silence.

"I can't be near you, so try to stay away from anyone, no scratch that, from anything." The girl's eyebrows furrowed together.

"Loki." She slowly said as a gush of wind flew between them, making the girl's yellow locks dance away in the wind.

"I believe I know Lucy a little better than you." The boy flinched at her cold affirmation, obviously hinting that she's been with Lucy longer than him who got to know her only a couple of months before, and therefore, she knew better what was best for her owner. The boy quietly bit his lower lip as a pained frown painted his face. Gemini kept starring at him with serious dark chocolate eyes, before she breathed out:

"So don't worry, I would never do anything to hurt her, see you later Loki." The blonde sighed as she quickly walked towards their school, leaving behind a distressed Loki who cursed under his breath as he kicked away a small rock.

"Ugh I really don't get it..." The boy in front of Lucy sighed in distress as Evergreen's math class quickly rolled by. The boy slammed his head on his desk as he scattered his hair in every direction. He then slightly turned around when he felt a light tap on his shoulder.

"Do you need any help?" Lucy smiled sweetly as everyone stopped and stared at them in silence. Natsu's loud snores and Evergreen's incessant voice quickly filling the room.

"What the..." Gajeel coughed out as he slid to his side to see Lucy's expression. As soon as that lesson started he moved with his chair behind her in order to play poker with Gray and some other guy.

"N-n-no I'm fine!" He quickly stammered as he glanced in Natsu's direction, afraid he would beat the life out of him.

"Ah, there!" The boy's eyes widened as Lucy's hair graced his nose, her upper body hovering over his shoulder in order to take his notes.

"See? you've used the wrong formula!" She happily chirped as she corrected the boy's notes. Everyone stared at the blonde in awe as Loki facepalmed really hard before he massaged his face in distress.

"Wow thanks! I didn't think it was this easy!" The boy smiled as he quickly realized where he got it wrong.

"No worries, ask me again if you need help!" Lucy grinned as she scattered the boy's hair. The boy's cheeks quickly turned red before he jumped to his feet and ran away, with his hands on his face, like a mademoiselle in distress.

"And this is everything for today, have you all been listening brats?" Evergreen turned around only to see every single student, except Natsu, sitting around Lucy and listening closely to her lecture.

"What the..." The woman breathed as her eyebrows came together. The bell rang loudly, waking Natsu from his slumber in the process.

"Ughmmm.." He blinked a couple of times as drool kept coming out of his mouth.

"Ugh, freakin' disgusting." Gray grimaced as he reached the sleepy teen who ignored his nasty remark.

"...What the hell happened?" Natsu wiped his eye with the back of his hand as he saw everyone slowly getting back to their seats.

"Lucy happened." Erza slowly reached them with her arms crossed over her chest as she stared towards Lucy's desk.

"What?" Confused by the girl's answer, the pink haired teen glanced in Lucy's direction and watched as she happily hummed to herself. He then rested his cheek on his palm as he stared, and unknowingly smiled, at her happy form.

"She's been acting strange since this morning."

"Who can help me sort out all your tests from last week?!" A teacher yelled as soon as he opened the door with his leg.

"I'll do it!" Lucy loudly volunteered as no one wanted to do it. Baffled, the boy watched as Lucy ran towards the confused teacher in order to helped him out with the tower of papers he was holding.

"What the fuck did you do to her?" Grey asked, sincerely concerned by this point.

"I have no freakin' idea..." Natsu breathed out as he scratched his head, the boy was as perplexed as Gray by the blonde's behavior.

"Well whatever you did, it might work with us." Erza voiced out as she stared down at the frowning pink haired teen.

"You know what you have to do."

Gemini, in Lucy's shoes, kept surprising everyone that day. From eating with everyone else at the cafeteria to actually accepting to help during the winter festival. The spirit was completely oblivious by the fact that Natsu kept staring at her seriously, almost frowning.

"Ouch! I-I'm sorry!" Lucy held her nose as she suddenly bumped into a teacher's back.

"What the!? Yah!" The man yelled back as he quickly snapped his head towards Lucy's figure. The girl flinched at the teacher's annoyed tone.

"What the hell do you think you're doing!? Don't you know that it's not allowed to run in the corridors?" The teacher spat out as he quickly tapped his stick on his shoulder, obviously angry.

"B-but I didn't-"

"Kids these days don't know anything about respect anymore! You need to be disciplined!" The man cut her shortly as he slapped his stick against the wall. At that sharp sound Lucy flinched again, her head hanging low as she fidget with her fingers.

What the hell is wrong with this human!? The spirit thought as she fearfully glanced up at the angry teacher.

"Face up, you insolent brat!" The man was about to hit the girl on the head when out of nowhere Natsu stopped the stick just an inch above the blonde's head.

"What!?" The man growled as he tried with all his strength to pull back his stick, gritting his teeth as he realized that the boy's grip was stronger than his. The boy glanced toward the teacher, glaring with his green eyes as he took hold of Lucy's wrist before he pulled her behind him.

The girl's eyes shot wide open as she lost her balance and slammed into the boy's side, gripping his shirt for more support.

"S-student do you also wish to be punished!?" The teacher yelled as a vein popped on his forehead. His neck was crimson red from anger.

"Try me." The pink haired teen simply growled as the air around them slowly heated up. Lucy tried to push herself away yet squealed when an arm twirled around her waist and pulled her closer than before into Natsu's side.

"Grrr!" The teacher growled as rage exploded within him. Natsu on the other hand was creepily calm as he stared coldly at the teacher. His eyes never blinking.

"I will suspend you! Let go!" The man spat out again.

"Go ahead. Do it. Either way I'm gonna break your neck." The teacher flinched back at the teen's murderous stare. He felt like Natsu wasn't joking at all. And he wasn't.

"Natsu let go of the grip!" A voice roared from behind the teens. Lucy turned around only to see Gildarts' figure a few steps behind her. A stern look fixed on the pink haired teen's nape who didn't even turn around to look at the man who called his name.

"Ummm..." Lucy's eyes faltered between the three guys around her as she wished she had never lost her way back to her classroom.

"Natsu." Gildarts placed his hand on top of Natsu's whose eyes were still glued on the teacher.

"Let go, go back to your classroom, I'll deal with everything here." The boy didn't answer.

"Natsu!" As the man roared his name, the boy clicked his tongue as he pushed away his hand.

"Let's go." He breathed as he gave one last glare at the angry teacher. Lucy watched over her shoulder in confusion as her body was quickly dragged away. Her eyebrows came together as she saw Gildarts throw his arms in the air before he sheepishly laughed aloud, scratching his neck as he tried to calm down his angry colleague.

Lucy sat silently in her seat. Fumbling with her fingers as she quickly glanced behind her in Natsu's direction, only to find out that he was watching her all along, frowning and with his scarf up to his nose. Since the beginning of that last lesson he was staring at her with his arms crossed over his chest and legs crossed over his desk.

The girl sighed uncomfortably under his stare as she felt that every little breath was being registered by the young teen.

What did I do wrong... She sulked as she wondered what went wrong that day. Loki on the other hand looked at her, clearly confused and worried about her strange behavior.

"Lucy Ashley." The spirit quickly snapped her head back up as she hear those words, her deer-like eyes meeting Freed's.

"Come to the blackboard." The man said as he pointed his chalk towards her. She quickly glanced towards Loki before she looked at the clock above the blackboard. 10 minutes left. She gulped as she felt everyone's stare on her body. Lucy slowly raised to her feet before she dragged her heavy body next to the teacher.

Only 10 minutes left! She thought as she ran a hand through her hair. She hurriedly tried to finish the exercise but her eyes shot wide open as her body suddenly froze.

She watched with trembling eyes as her right hand slowly flicker and faded away. Dead scared about what was happening, she bit her lower lip as she slowly looked over her shoulder in Loki's direction who understood immediately her terrified eyes.

Lucy...They thought at the same time.
