A/N Here we are, at the end of all things. I think I just made a Lord of the Rings reference. Anyway, I'm sad this is ending, but I hope you guys have enjoyed the ride!
Who saw the most recent Avengers Age of Ultron trailer? I think it's trailer number 3. It was amazing! Avengers Tower looks so good. Tony picking up the spear! That blindsided me and has SO many implications. Our first look at Vision! And that one slow motion shot where all of the Avengers are posed in the air? That was so EPIC it defies words! Anyway, enough of my fangirling. On with the show! :)
I know I say this every chapter, but all of you guys who review are truly awesome! I love writing, and knowing that people enjoy my work is the most amazing feeling. I can never fully put into words how grateful I am for your comments! :)

Perfect
About a month after the battle of New York and the Avengers' arrival in Asgard, it was time for them to go home. Things had settled down on Asgard and everyone and everything was well on the mend. It was time for the five Midgardians to head back to their lives.
Fortunately, in the time they had been on Asgard, the bifrost reconstruction had finally been completed so the five Avengers didn't have to travel via tesseract or Loki. It would call more attention to their arrival, but it would also be a smoother ride.
The five Earth bound Avengers were all gathered just outside the bifrost dome in preparation of leaving, and Thor and Loki were there to see their friends off.
All the goodbyes had been said with Loki and Thor promising to visit Earth in the, hopefully, near future, and invitations being extended to the five Midgardians to visit Asgard anytime they wished. All that was left was for Heimdal to send the five of them back to the same location they had left from via tesseract, what seemed like years ago.
However, before the five of them could leave, Tony decided there was something they needed to do.
"We have to take a group picture."
The others alternately rolled their eyes or groaned.
"Oh, come on," Tony whined. "After everything we've been through we need a picture. Besides, who knows when we'll be back on Asgard again."
"We don't have a camera, Tony," Bruce pointed out.
"Maybe you can borrow one from a passing Asgardian," Natasha said sarcastically.
"We can use my phone," Tony said, ignoring Natasha. Then a thought struck him. "My phone! I haven't even thought to look at it since we've been here." He pulled the device from his pocket and turned it on, his eyes widening as he did so. "How can I possibly have reception here? I'm on another planet!"
"Really?" Steve asked in surprise. He also pulled out his phone and looked at the screen. "Asgard has 4G!"
"Seriously?" Clint asked, pulling his own phone out and looking at it. "How awesome is that!"
A second later, Tony cursed.
"What?" Steve asked in concern.
"I have forty missed calls. Pepper is going to kill me," he moaned.
"I can just hear that conversation now," Steve said. "Sorry I disappeared without a word for a month. I was on Asgard becoming friends with the guy the entire Earth thinks is public enemy number one and helping to fight off a dangerous and powerful intergalactic threat. Oh! And also I have a son who I thought was dead but showed back up and he's Captain America. Yeah, that's going to end well," he said sarcastically.
"You know, you're not too old to discipline," Tony said.
"That, I would love to see," Clint said with a laugh. "Captain America sent to his room for a time out."
"Hey, maybe Jarvis will have told her about us showing up for our stuff a couple weeks ago," Steve suggested, ignoring Clint.
"Yes, because her finding out we showed up, with Loki, to pick up our weapons, is really going to reassure her," Tony said with a roll of his eyes.
"At least she'll know you're still alive," Clint said.
"Which likely won't last long once you return home," Loki said with a smirk.
"Wow, with friends like these..." Tony mumbled under his breath.
"Here," Loki said, holding out his hand to Tony. "Give me your phone."
"I'm not sure I trust you with my phone, Dark Ages," Tony replied.
"Oh, come now," Loki said with a roll of his eyes. "Thor I would understand, he'd be more likely to break it than anything, but me? I'm sure I can managed to not damage your precious technology."
"Fine," Tony said and reluctantly handed over the phone.
After a few seconds of tapping around on the phone, Loki had found the camera and figured out how to work it. Loki used his magic to create a double of himself and handed the double the phone.
"I thought your doubles were basically holograms," Tony said.
"I can make them temporarily corporeal when I need to," Loki explained.
"Cool," Tony said with appreciation.
"Are we taking a picture or not?" Natasha sighed, just wanting to get it over with and knowing no amount of threatening would dissuade Tony if he was set on it.
"Yep," Tony said and proceeded to grab both Loki and Steve and pull them over so that the three of them were standing in the middle of the rainbow bridge with all of Asgard spread out behind them. "Come on," he called to the others. "It'll be quick. I promise."
The others reluctantly moved over where Tony was standing with Steve and Loki. After some shuffling, and some grumbling from Natasha, they were all standing together, side-by-side, in the middle of the bridge.
Tony was standing in the middle, his right arm wrapped around Steve's shoulders and his left thrown around Loki's. Loki had his arm wrapped around Tony on one side and Thor on the other. Bruce might have gotten away with just standing off to the side, a little away from everybody if Thor hadn't thrown his arm around the scientist's shoulders and pulled the smaller man over next to him. Steve had one arm wrapped around Tony and his other arm slung around Clint's shoulders. And despite her protests, Clint had wrapped his arm around Natasha and pulled her over to stand next to him.
"Okay. Now everyone say Iron Man is awesome!" Tony said.
It had the desired effect as everyone smirked or grinned, if a bit reluctantly. Fortunately, the Loki double snapped the photo after the eye rolls were completed so they were all looking in the right direction. The double walked over and handed the phone back to Tony before disappearing. Tony took the phone and looked at the picture, the others crowding around to look at the screen.
"Perfect," Tony said, looking at the photo.
Next to Tony, Loki looked away from the phone to the six people standing around him.
"Perfect," he agreed.
The End
A/N So? How'd I do on the ending? How'd I do on the overall story? Did I do it justice? Are you guys happy with the ending? Please let me know by leaving one last review! :)
P.S. I do have ideas for future stories in this universe, stories featuring Loki and even a few short story ideas that are Steve and Tony father/son centric. However, school is pretty crazy right now so it'll probably be a while before I get to the longer chapter stories, but just know that more stories will be written in this universe eventually so don't give up on me, even if it takes a while. :)
That being said, I do have a few one-shots in the works. The first of which will be up sometime next week and will be titled It's A Long Story. It will take place basically right after the end of this story when Tony and Steve make it back home, and will feature Steve meeting Rhodey and Pepper for the first time.
