DAY 7: JOURNEY

Kagome should've known he would've reacted badly by this.

She could very well see the stress he was emitting. His body was tensed, his ears were flattened under the beanie he was wearing, and his claws were digging into the seats. He had his eyes closed, and he looked like he wished he wasn't here at the moment. She felt sorry for him. This was all her fault for deciding to bring him.

She shouldn't have invited him to ride a plane with her.

They were all heading to America. She had married Inuyasha for two months now, and she decided, why not bring him along? He was her husband anyway, so leaving him behind wasn't an option. It wasn't as if he was fond of the idea of being away from her anyway. So he agreed to come along. She had told him that a plane was a type of transportation that could fly, and he didn't seem to mind about it. But after the plane took off, only then she remembered the feeling of flying in a plane. The pressure when flying would hurt her ears, so she couldn't imagine how he was feeling right now.

"I-Inuyasha?" she called. He opened his eyes, and looked at her with a deep frown. Yup, he was definitely regretting the idea of following her. And now that they were on the plane, it wasn't as if he could leap off from this height. "I'm really sorry. I should've just let Mama, Grandpa and Sota go without me."

"What the hell are you talkin' about? I'm fine!" he said, but the waver in his voice hinted otherwise.

She was grateful that her other family members decided to sit somewhere away from them. There weren't seats available near them, so the three of them ended up sitting somewhere further from them. If they were here now, the half-demon would've felt more embarrass that he had to show weakness towards her family. "Do you want to watch a movie with me? You can choose." She could only hope to distract him from his suffering.

She watched the movement under his beanie, and knew that his ears perked up. Earlier, they had trouble passing through security because they wanted hats off their heads. Thank goodness Inuyasha was taller than the man, so when he flattened his ears, the man doesn't seem to notice the appendages on his head. Still, she could only hope that no one had seen him with ears back there.

"What movie is this?" he asked, pointing to a movie he chose on the screen.

"I've never seen it before," she said, and moved her face closer to see the cover and the title of the story. "Looks like a horror movie. Do you want to watch it?"

"Keh, whatever."

She searched for the exact same movie on her screen. Once she found it, she played the movie at the same time for both of their screens. She plugged in his headphones, and helped him wear it over his ears. She also put on hers. They were lucky that the plane was dark because they switched off the lights, and everyone else was sleeping. Or else, the people next to her would wonder why the heck Inuyasha's headphones were above his head. Mama made a good choice in choosing the last flight available.

They watched in silence as the screen showed them the movie. Kagome spared a quick glance towards the half-demon, and smiled at his face. He looked like he was feeling better than before. Mission to distract him from his suffering; accomplished.

With or without him noticing, she slowly slid her hand towards his, and intertwined it. He must've noticed it, because he moved his fingers so that they were both holding each other's hand. A light blush dusted her cheeks, and she continued watching the movie.

None of them said a thing, before Kagome silently screamed when there was a jump scare.

A/N: Finally, it's over! I managed to finish InuKag Week after all. I know I'm a little late completing this, but hey, at least I completed it right? Thank you to those that had read and left a review. Have a nice day.
