HONESTLY, THIS FIRST PART WAS HARD FOR ME TO THINK OF. I'M NOT SURE IF I DID GOOD OR NOT BUT I ALSO FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO DO WHAT I WANT AND REGRET EVERYTHING LATER. I AM ALSO MAKING UP NYX'S FATHER, MOTHER, AND YOUNGER SISTER'S NAME. I'M SORRY FOR THESE UPDATES TAKING SO LONG, I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET ON MY COMPUTER TO DO THIS AS MUCH WITH SCHOOL, HOME LIFE (siblings taking the laptop), AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.

Kyla got comfortable by Gladio as they lay down by the other sleeping boys. Ignis said that if she is traveling with them now, that they will work on getting her and Gladio a tent. Prompto made her laugh by saying that there would me more room without the bear in the tent. Gladio ended up chasing him around camp before Kyla saved Prompto by calling off 'Mr. Bear' as Kyla had called him. Now that they are settled down and Gladio and Ignis knows about what Bahamut wanted them to know. She couldn't help but think about what has happened. After a bit of thinking about her brother and Insomnia, she decided that she wasn't going to get any sleep, so she goes to get out of the tent. "Where are you going, Ky?" She heard Gladio's voice say.

"I won't get any sleep if I keep thinking about everything that has happened. I was going to go outside. See if it would clear my head." Kyla says, explaining herself a little. "Besides, a lot has happened that I need to wrap my head around. Go to sleep, Gladio. I'll be back in a few." Gladio shook his head and went out with her. "I told you to sl-" She was interrupted by Gladio kissing her. Whether to shut her up or something else. But she wouldn't deny to missing it, especially with how close they had gotten. Gladio pulls away after they run out of breath.

"I've wanted to do that for a while. But, Kyla, you can tell me. I can tell you are hurting. I want you to know you to talk to me." Gladio says. Kyla debates whether to tell him anything or not. After they were told they were going to get married, they got to know each other. Enough to show the softer sides of themselves. In that process, Gladio had shown Kyla the emotional side that he rarely showed anyone. Kyla pulls him to the edge of the haven and sits them both down. They sit there for a few before Kyla broke the silence.

"My last blood relative." She starts before pausing. Gladio sits beside her, not pushing for her to continue. "He's gone. I have no one." Gladio pulls her up and makes her look at him, wiping her tears away.

"You're not alone. You have the boys, Iris, Cor. You have me. You can't forget about that in these times. I'll need you. Noct will need you to be strong. He may not show it now. But he is hurting. We all are. Speak more about your time in the city, maybe it'll help us get a better grasp of what happened in there and we'll be able to help you better. Get that off your chest. I will get the fact that you are not alone in your head." Gladio says in a determined voice. Kyla was grateful that he was taking the attention away from her brother and that he says that him and Iris is there for her. She didn't think that the marriage she and Gladio were, basically, forced into. In the end it made her happy, gave her a little sister, and in the end, Gladio and herself ended up making up their differences and Kyla got a friend out of it.

"Thank you. You have no idea how that makes me feel. I will open up to all of you. It's just, I needed to gather my thoughts. I at least told you some of those that have died." Kyla begins her thoughts, hoping that he will listen until the end.

She noticed that she was silent for a while after he said his part. "Even though we were basically forced into this marriage, I have gotten so much out of it. I got a little sister and a father. I got new friends and branched from the ones I let myself have after the fall of Galahad. We made up our differences and we became closer." She pauses after she completes her previous thoughts.

"I should thank you. You got that sister that you had gained out of Insomnia during the attack." Gladio says taking advantage of the silence while Kyla thought of what to say next.

"No, I should thank you all for staying with me and letting me continue forward with you all. I know I'm not alone, but I need you all to remind me. I lost my last relative there. The one that knows what happened in Galahad. All of those that surrounded me after we got closer, you all pulled me out of a pit that I didn't even know I was falling into. I think that is a reason that I have pushed the fights between us. It was me subconsciously pulling me away from those depths." Kyla stops for a few moments as she runs out of things that had come to mind. She couldn't continue though when she heard a throat being cleared behind her and Gladio. They both turned and saw Ignis. After noticing Ignis she looked at the sky and saw the colors of dawn.

"I guess you two didn't follow my advice and get some sleep." Ignis says before he turns to Kyla. "You can talk to any of us if you need. You are welcome to travel with us. That is the first thing I heard from you, so no need to thing I was eavesdropping. I need to cook breakfast, you have your moment before the other two get out of the tent." Ignis looks at them mischievously. Kyla looks at Gladio and laughs along with him.

From how long Kyla has known Ignis, he didn't seem like the guy to joke around. When he first joked with Kyla she nearly had a heart attack from the surprise. He reminded her so much of her dad at that time. Even though he died after Stella was born, she thought he was there with her. She had freaked Ignis out after she started crying and he called Nyx because it had gotten so hard for her to talk. Nyx calmed her down and she apologized to ignis and explained about how she was reminded about her father, even when he freaked out, which he denies ever doing.

"Ignis sure knows how to spoil a mood, doesn't he, Kyla?" Gladio asks jokingly turning to Kyla while he speaks after the moment of silence following what Ignis said is up when Prompto gets out of the tent. Prompto looks at them confused after hearing this. The three that was involved started laughing while Noctis gets out of the tent behind Prompto. Kyla makes the mistake of looking up at the two flabbergasted friends and starts to laugh harder making Ignis and Gladio do the same after looking too. Kyla thinks that it is the sleep deprivation that is getting to her and Gladio. It must've been a spur of the moment thing for Ignis to laugh along with them because he hasn't let himself go this far without being completely 'shitfaced' as Crowe would've put it. The thought of Crowe sobered Kyla up quickly remembering how Crowe looked when they brought her back.

"I'm going to go for a run." Kyla says to the boys after they look at her. "I'll be back in a bit. Just a couple of laps to that rock over there ant back, won't take long." She assured them while heading to the tent to change into some other clothes. "Besides, Ignis has yet to cook." She smiled at them after she came out of the tent. "Keep the tent up so I can change, yeah?" At Ignis' nod she climbed down and took off. By the time she finished and changed, and of course freshened up, Ignis had finished the first meal of the day. She sat down in front of Gladio on the ground between his legs before any of the boys could protest and leaned back, resting against him while Ignis passes out the simple eggs and toast. Kyla smiles in thanks and makes them into a sandwich, finishing quickly with that method. "I'll start the process of taking down the tent." She says standing. Gladio follows and in a matter of minutes had the tent down. After packing everything up Noctis leads the way towards the Tomb of the Wise. Kyla guesses that the boys got information from Monica while she was on the run, because of the nod she gave them.

"Can't keep up with this guy." Gladio says in reference to Cor.

"First, the Crown City, then Hammerhead, then the royal tomb?" Prompto asks in a bit of disbelief.

"His nickname should have been 'Cor the Restless'." Ignis says and Kyla gives a bit of a chuckle at their antics.

"Somehow not as catchy as 'Cor the Immortal'." Kyla says as they come upon a gate.

"Making it out of Insomnia only adds to his legend." Prompto says after Kyla's comment.

"Well, fortune favors the bold." Noctis says adding his input to the conversation.

"The wise make their own luck." Ignis says as a rebuttal.

"You think it's a coincidence that he's made it out of all of those battles alive?" Gladio says as they go through a path between two cliffs before running into some Daggerquills. It takes a bit to get through them because of the birds being, well, birds. As they finish up and go the rest of the way to the tomb it is silent, only encountering two more of the birds before they get to the elaborate doors.

"We're here." Ignis says, his accent breaking the silence.

"A tomb fit for royalty." Prompto says gazing at the very elaborate place with the oracle's stature above the door.

"Let's go in and find the Marshal." Gladio says getting them onto the task at hand. Noctis opens the doors and they all walk through.

"Marshal." Ignis greets Cor with a nod of his head.

"At last, Your Highness." Cor says as he turns around.

"Yeah, wanna tell me what I'm here for?" Noctis asks with more than his usual amount of sass.

"The power of kings, passed from old to new through the bonding of souls. Along with that their swords or guardians, as they are called and chosen by their predecessors. One such soul lies before you. To claim your forbears' power is your birthright and duty as king." Cor says taking the sass in stride while spreading his arms over the stone casket then gesturing to a casket that is standing by the wall opposite to the door. "There is the sword's tomb. The kings of old have informed Regis of who the current sword will be when he had encountered them, they are here now and has had the training as such without everyone else's knowledge but could not get their 'knowledge' until the one getting the throne triggers the armbringer's magic. A Swords duty is to carry out the king's orders until both or the Sword's deaths."

"My duty as king of what?" Noctis says with venom in his voice. Everyone but Cor and Kyla look at him in surprise at the words. Kyla steps forward.

"Now is not the time to question your calling." She says with a stern and clear voice. All the others except for the one she is talking to look at her in surprise, Noctis scoffs at what she says. "A king is sworn to protect his people."

"And yet he chose to protect only one prince." Noctis says bitterly. "Was that his calling? Forsake the masses to spare his own son?"

"How long will you remain the protected? The king entrusted role of protector to you?" Cor says stepping forward.

"'Entrusted' it to me?" The prince asks forcefully. "Then why didn't he tell me that? Why did he stand there smiling as I left? Why-" Noctis abruptly starts firing questions and then ending with his hand on the casket in front of him with tears in his eyes. The others that have not said a word since greetings turned away or looked down. "Why did he lie to me?" Noctis finishes in a soft voice.

"That day, he didn't want you to remember him as the king. In what time you had left, he wanted to be your father." Cor starts before looking at Kyla.

"He always had faith in you, that when the time came, you would ascend for the sake of your people." Kyla continues for Cor in a soft voice.

"Guess he left me no choice." Noctis says standing up straight.

"Wait, what does the Sword's knowledge entail?" Ignis asks. Cor looks at Kyla and she nods stepping forward to stand beside Noctis.

"It is the knowledge of that specific Sword. Tactics, techniques, weapon, information on anything Lucii. I could continue a few, but I feel it unnecessary." Kyla says like she is talking about the weather outside. "Continue, Prince." She says to him already wanting to get the show on the road. He holds his hand over the sword that is held by the king. The sword glows and rises while the Sword's whole casket glows. The glowing objects go to their respective person. The sword to Noctis and the Sword's knowledge to Kyla. When the tomb is at it's original brightness the four adventuring boys turn to Kyla while she stares at them.
