HELLO! Once again, I have made some improvements to this chapter. Please take time to read it again, a lot has changed and you'll notice it's also a lot longer than before.

Animalistic

A couple of hours later and Lucy was finally done with the paperwork. She stood up from the armchair and stretched out her body. Brushing her fingertips across Horologium's key, she noted that it was now 9am, the guild would be open around 10 and Cobra would be able to gain his guild mark. Therefore she had an hour to kill, which was just enough time for her to grab a quick bath. Padding over to the bathroom, she stripped and sighed, waiting for the tub to fill itself up. A couple more minutes passed and Lucy immersed herself into the warm soapy water as she thought through everything that had happened.

So Cobra was now a part of Fairy Tail, which meant that the only two dragon slayers missing were Sting and Rogue, but that was easily resolvable. They weren't in the same position as Cobra. No, Sabertooth were only a communication lacrima call away. The past year had caused Fairy Tail's interguild relationships to flourish, especially since the Tenrou team's return. There was not a week gone by where members from other guilds hadn't visited since Fairy Tail's win at the X791 Grand Magic Games. Kagura made biweekly trips in order to meet Erza, who had taken the role of Kagura's sister very seriously. The Gravity Change mage had also slightly warmed up to Jellal, deciding to follow Erza's lead and leave behind her grudge. Although, there were still times when Kagura was peeved by Jellal's presence; mainly when he was monopolizing Erza's time.

Lyon, Chelia and Sherry also constantly visited the guild, Lyon because of Juvia, Chelia for Wendy and Sherry because somehow Ichiya always found himself around Erza, with the Trimens following him and constantly flirting with the female guild members even though Ren usually found himself besides Sherry by the end of the night. Even Bacchus and the Quatro Cerberus team joined Fairy Tail's parties on the weekend, spending their time drinking with Cana, Macao and Wakaba. Finally, were the members of Sabertooth, their Grand Magic Games team would often find themselves wrapped up in Fairy Tail's pace, Orga and Gajeel constantly battling for the mike, Natsu, Sting and Gray usually fighting each other. Rufus had surprisingly struck up a friendship with Kinana and Laki while Rogue and Yukino found themselves around Levy and herself more often than not. All in all, it seemed like Fairy Tail's family were just growing, even if they weren't necessarily part of the guild.

Lucy snapped out of her thoughts as she realised she had seriously drifted off topic and more than forty-five minutes had passed. She quickly exited the bath and wrapped herself in her fluffy white towel. Just as she was about to twist the handle open she stopped, her face quickly heating up as she realised she'd left her clothes outside as she usually did. However, this wasn't like any of the other times. She'd completely forgotten that she no longer lived alone and instead had a roommate. What was she going to do now? She could have called Virgo, but she'd left her keys by the bedside table. A thought appeared in her head and she placed her head against the door, hoping it would work.

"Virgo," Lucy called out and to her dismay, she was left unanswered. So she did the only thing she could, the next best thing. And Lucy knew she would regret it, but it was her only choice.

"Loke" Lucy whispered and just as she expected, in a dazzling blaze of light her trusted Lion spirit appeared.

"Lucy my love, you calle-" Loke began before immediately shutting up and flushing bright red at the sight of his very naked master.

While he may jest about dating Lucy and constantly flirted with her, he'd really only did it to rile her up. Because even though Loke had Aries, his cute little ram and first love; he loved Lucy. Truly and deeply. She was the only other woman to own his heart other than the Ram spirit. Lucy had saved his life and given him a new beginning; taught him that not all Spirit mages were abusive like Karen. But he knew there was no way he'd ever be able to act on his feelings, he loved Lucy, almost to a fault, but she was mortal and would eventually grow old and pass on to the Fields of Gold whereas he would live forever. Therefore all he could really ever do was love her from a distance and always be there for her, protecting her from anything that would harm her. Besides, he wouldn't ever trade his girlfriend, not even if he had a chance with Lucy and he knew Aries knew that. Which was why he was left speechless by the very naked blonde bombshell.

"Is there something you needed?" Loke questioned, watching as Lucy bit her lips, her eyes refusing to meet his.

"I sort of… forgot Cobra was living with me and didn't bring in any clothes. I would have summoned Virgo, but I left my keys outside. I tried calling her like I did with you, but she didn't respond. Would you mind grabbing me some clothes?" Lucy managed to mumble out, mortification consuming her very being.

"COBRA'S LIVING WITH YOU?" Loke yelled, completely ignoring the rest of her words. He had been unaware of the situation and was livid that someone who had been instrumental during the Infinity Clock catastrophe was currently living with her. Sure Cobra didn't actively play a part in placing Lucy in the clock, but he had tried to prevent Erza from breaking the chains and bringing her back and for that Loke wouldn't forgive him.

"Yes! Please don't yell at me. I'll tell you all about it later, I promise. Just please get me some clothes" Lucy begged and Loke sighed, raising his blue tinted glasses higher on his nose and nodding.

"Your wish is my command gorgeous" Loke replied before exiting the bathroom, quickly shutting the door lest Cobra see his naked key holder. Loke spotted the Poison Dragon sitting on a chair besides the window and sent the maroon haired mage a glare, the slayer simply rolling his eye at the roaring sound of Loke's soul. The lion quickly grabbed Lucy's clothing before sending the slayer one final glare, re-entering the bathroom.

"Yes! Thank you Loke, you can go now," Lucy said dismissing her spirit as she took her clothing from him. However Loke just watched her, his eyes expectant.

"Is there something you need?" Lucy asked, Loke giving her a knowing glare.

"Why is he here?" Loke demanded, his voice more gruff than he meant it to be. Lucy sighed before prompting him to turn around, Loke following her orders as she began explaining the situation, while she got dressed.

"So he's been released from prison and is immediately sprung on you without any of your input on it?" Loke growled out and Lucy shrugged.

"I had the option of turning him away. It's just easier this way" Lucy replied, knowing that Loke was more angry at the situation than at her.

"And you think this has to do with what you found out on your birthday?" Loke asked and Lucy nodded. Loke let out a sigh as he rubbed his temples.

"I don't like it. In fact, I hate it. But I know nothing I say will change your mind. Be careful around him Lucy, I don't trust him" Loke warned and Lucy nodded one again.

"You don't have to. Just trust me?" Lucy asked and Loke couldn't deny her.

"Always. I think I'll take my leave now; I was in the middle of a date with Aries when you called me. Take care of yourself and know that I'll be watching over you" Loke said, pulling her close and placing a kiss on her forehead before flashing away, back to the Spirit World. Lucy smiled to herself, despite all his faults like the constant flirting, Loke always had her back and for that she was glad.

"Alright, are you ready to meet your new guild?" Lucy questioned, turning to look at Cobra.

"It doesn't really matter if I'm ready or not does it?" Cobra replied, Lucy shrugging. In a way he was right, either way he had to join the guild, whether he liked it or not. Lucy turned back to the guild doors and took a deep breath, getting ready for whatever awaited her on the other side of the door. Cobra watched as she took a minute before making her decision and quickly placed her hand on the hilt of her whip as she opened the guild doors.

"Good morni-" the guild greeted as she entered, however they stopped cold at the sight of her companion, their cheery greeting dying on their lips. Confusion, anger and rage filled their faced as none other than Cobra, the Poison Dragon Slayer, followed their resident Celestial Mage. The only person with a positive look on her face was Kinana, who stared in surprise, happiness and a hint of relief as the man that plagued her thoughts and dreams every night followed one of her friends. Suddenly half the guild's temperature dropped several degrees while the other half's increased, powerful magical pressure surrounding the hall.

"COBRA" Erza yelled, quickly re-equipping into her Heaven's Wheel armour as she flew at him with immense speed. Natsu and Gray followed closely behind her, unintelligible words and snarls spewing from their mouth. However, before they could land any hits on their target, Lucy had already extended her Fleuve D'Étoiles and struck it towards her teammates. Her attack wasn't intended to cause damage, so all it did was send the three flying back a considerable amount, Lucy stepping protectively in front of the maroon haired mage.

"Lucy? What is going on? Why did you defend him?" Erza interrogated, drawing her sword and pointing it towards Cobra. The latter heard the eerie notes of flutes and the deep thrumming of double bass coming from the Scarlet Knight's soul, her only thoughts and intents on protecting the blonde mage from him. Dickneel's own soul thrashed around wildly, the sound of pounding of drums and electric guitar rifts once again filling his ears causing him to sneer at the oncoming headache. Surprisingly, the Ice Dragon Slayer's soul also sounded like electric guitar and drums, except his notes were more ordered; his souls' song as calm and cool as the dark haired man.

"OI! GET AWAT FROM HER" Natsu yelled, his fists blazing as he got ready for a second attempt. However, this time a giant fist grabbed him, effectively immobilising the flaming pink haired slayer.

"NATSU THAT IS ENOUGH" Master Makarov yelled and Natsu immediately deflated, unsure as to why even the Master was defending Cobra. Everyone turned to Makarov, waiting for an explanation.

"Cobra is now a part of Fairy Tail. The Magic Council have decided to release him into our custody and Lucy will be playing the part of his parole officer. There will be no arguments or discussions," Makarov said, everyone blanching at his words.

"Master, surely you cannot be serious?" Erza questioned, her sword disappearing as he exquipped out of her armour.

"Gramps! Did you forget what he did to Lucy with the Infinity Clock?" Natsu questioned, eyes wide in disbelief as he stared at the short old man.

"I said no arguments, Natsu! That incident was unfortunate, but if you recall, he also helped us during the Dragon Crisis. For now we must put the past behind us. As a guild master, it is my duty to take in those that have strayed from their path. Especially if they are looking for atonement. Besides, the Council had declared it and we are not going to argue with them. They had decided this was the best decision for him, considering we're already housing two reformed criminals. Please welcome him into the guild the same way you welcomed Meredy and Jellal" Makarov spoke and the guild nodded, respecting their Master's decision. Natsu immediately began muttering to himself while he walked over to Team Natsu's table, pouting as he glared at Cobra.

"I may not agree, but I will keep an open mind and respect your decision" Erza said, Makarov nodding at him. Erza had fought Cobra during the Infinity Clock event and had informed him about their battle. According to Erza, Cobra had lost his way and given into darkness after he had lost his snake, Cubellios and so she was under the impression that all Cobra wanted was a friend. Of course, no one needed to know that Kinana was that said snake; he'd keep that one to himself. He was sure that Cobra already knew about Kinana, so there was no need for him to get involved. He was also certain, that over time and once all his emotional scars had healed, Cobra would eventually walk the path of light once again; just like Gajeel.

Cobra snorted at Makarov's thoughts. 'Walk the path of light', he really didn't care about any of that. All he wanted was his freedom and the only way he could have ensure that was if he had joined Fairy Tail. The only reason he hadn't killed Lahar, Doranbolt and the blonde Fairy when his handcuffs were removed was because he had to maintain his good behaviour so that he could plan and set to work on freeing the Seis. That, and Fairy Tail was home to Cubellios; at least this way he could be close to her once again without raising any suspicions as to her affiliation with him. There was no way the Council Dogs would be able to lock her up if people knew they were friends now, they were guild mates after all. However, he agreed with the Masterbator on one thing, no one needed to know that Kinana was Cubellios. That was a secret he'd take to the grave.

"Come on Cobra, let's get you your guild mark" Lucy said, her eyes shining with excitement and Cobra had to resist the urge to roll his eye. She was more excited than he was, the piano tenors of her soul slowing down in nostalgia as her soul brought forth the memory of the day she first got her guild mark. The scene played out in his own mind as he listened to her soul, taking in her large smile as she proudly showed off her pink insignia to the Fire Dragon Slayer.

"This is Mira, she's the head barmaid and that's Kinana, she works with Mira. If you need drinks or food you can order from them. Mira is also in charge of any job requests and she has to approve of it before you leave. She'll also give you your guild mark" Lucy introduced and Cobra was completely distracted by Cubellios, or Kinana now. She smiled softly at him from her place behind the bar and Cobra shot down the urge to smile at her as her tell tale scent of venom and white lotus filled his senses. It was uncharacteristic of him, at least for the rest of the guild. He'd been used to smiling at Cubellios; in fact, she was the only person or well snake to ever see him smile. He was soon brought out of his thoughts by the barmaid who smiled cheerily at him.

"So Cobra, where would you like your mark and what colour?" Mira asked, her voice chirpy. But as he listened to her soul, he knew she was anything but. If anything, she was a ticking time bomb of rage and wrath, the demons she had taken over all laughing in sadistic pleasure as they plotted on how to defeat Titania. It was unsettling at the least, particularly because of how her soul clashed with the demons in a war of volatile shades of mulberry and burgundy as she tried to keep them from awakening and taking control of her body. However, the most disturbing thoughts came in the form of 'CoLu! Blonde hair purple eyed babies. Maroon hair brown eyed babies' and he seriously had to force down his urge to shudder.

"Red, on my left shoulder blade" Cobra said slipping off his fur-lined jacket and unbuttoning his shirt so he could expose the skin of his back. He felt the Demon press the stamp against his skin, and caught the faint glow from the corner of his eye. Once she removed the stamp, he regarded the dark red, almost black, insignia on his shoulder blade before covering up once again.

"There you go! You're now a part of Fairy Tail" Lucy cheered, smiling brightly at him. Cobra simply scoffed at her before moving to the bar and taking a seat.

Lucy's ire grew when he brushed her off and immediately stomped over to him and grabbed him by the ear, fully intent on lecturing him about proper manners. However, as soon as she pinched his ear, she was sent flying back by one of his punches. The whole guild watched as she crashed into the tables and just as they were about to defend her they saw her get up, anger radiating off of her. The rest of the guild quickly turned around, minding their own business as they tried to make themselves as small as possible, knowing that Scary Lucy was about to awaken. She quickly brushed the hair out of her eyes and Cobra watched in surprise as she snarled at him, catching a short glimpse of sharpened teeth as her soul flared with the sound of angry drumming and clashing of cymbals. He was quickly taken aback; he'd know those fangs anywhere. They were dragon teeth but why the hell did she possess some?

Lost in his thoughts, he drowned out the sound of her soul and her foot immediately struck him, sending him soaring through the air before he crashed into Natsu and Gray. The guild winced slightly, knowing just how powerful Lucy's kick could be. Natsu and Gray let out growls before picking Cobra up and throwing twin punches at the Poison Slayer; however, Cobra, hearing their thoughts quickly ducked out of the way, causing them to punch each other. Both their heads flung back before they butt heads, glaring at each other. Cobra on the other hand quickly slunk away and towards the bar, his eye narrowed in on the blonde.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR FLAME FUCKER" Gray yelled, unconsciously stripping to his boxers.

"YOU'RE THE ONE THAT PUNCHED ME ICE BREATH" Natsu yelled, kicking Gray in the face.

"Gray your clothes" Cana reminded as she chugged her beer, only to be dismissed by Gray.

"I don't have time for that," Gray yelled, punching Natsu in the stomach. Soon, the Fire Dragon Slayer and the Ice Dragon Slayer got into one of their usual brawls.

"That's a man!" Elfman called out, only to be pulled into the brawl by one of Natsu's stray punches. Cobra, who was hell bent on finding out why the guild's resident Celestial mage had draconic fangs, was quickly distracted from his mission as a table came sailing towards him causing him to dodge it.

"Watch what you cunts are doing. Poison Dragon Twin Fang" Cobra spelled, sending two poison punches towards Elfman, only for the latter to duck, causing the spell to go flying towards Levy. The bookworm's eyes widened, Lucy moving to protect her friend, however, was stopped when Gajeel intercepted Cobra's attack, growling as he too joined the fray.

"DON'T TELL THOSE THREE IDIOTS TO BE CAREFUL, WHEN YOU CAN'T DO THE SAME. IRON DRAGON'S CLUB" Gajeel called, his arm extending as he threw himself into the brawl.

And just like that, the entire guild was swept into the fray; random magic spells being shot throughout the guild. Lucy watched in annoyance, her inner dragon mewling and whining, begging the mage to join the brawl. And she almost did, until she watched one of Natsu's spells miss his target, flying straight towards Jellal, Erza and Meredy. Meredy and Jellal quickly ducked out of the way, narrowly missing the stay spell. However, Erza was far too absorbed into her dessert, her eyes sparkling as she took in the sight of the glorious strawberry cake before they widened, tears filling her eyes as the cake was burned to a crisp, disintegrating before her very eyes. She continued staring at it until Gajeel bumped into her, causing her to drop the cake, only her eyes to be filled in shock and anger as Elfman stepped on it. Lucy quickly inched away from the fight and towards the safety of the bar when a dark aura surrounded Erza as she requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armour.

"JUSTICE AND RETRIBUTION! DANCE MY BLADES" Erza screamed, drawing two swords as different ones went flying through the guild. The guild watched in surprise and delight as Erza quickly brought a stop to the brawl. She was in the middle of gripping Elfman by the collar, Natsu, Gray and Gajeel knocked unconscious as Cobra managed to slip away stealthily, unscathed, when the guild doors burst open once again. The entire guild turned to the newcomers, their eyes widening, Lucy's especially, when there in the doorway, stood Team Sabertooth.

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Lucy questioned, everyone greeting the mages with bright, cheerful smiles.

"Hi Lucy, we're just here to speak to Master Makarov. Is he free by any chance?" Yukino asked politely, Mira nodding.

"I believe so, hold on…. Laxus, can you take Team Sabertooth to Master?" Mira asked and Laxus stood up, inclining his head towards the mages in a gesture to follow him. The team of seven followed the Lightning Dragon Slayer, Yukino smiling sadly at Lucy. Lucy's brows furrowed, wondering what had caused her friend to look so sad. Lucy watched as they disappeared out of her sight before turning back to her strawberry smoothie, stirring it mindlessly, lost in her own thoughts. Perhaps it had something to do with a certain prophecy? Lucy wasn't too sure, besides. They didn't need to part of the guild for them to help. The Tigers and Fairies had long since ended their feud; they were on friendly terms. So what had happened? The members had looked sad and hadn't appeared in their usual boisterous attitudes. Something was fishy, but she knew she'd have to wait till she found out about it.

"Laxus my boy, what is- Oh, Master Sting, what brings you here?" Makarov questioned, gesturing to the seats in front of his desk, beckoning them to take a seat.

"Thank you Master Makarov, however I am no longer Master of Sabertooth" Sting mumbled out causing Laxus and Makarov's eyes to widen.

"What happened to Sabertooth?" Makarov questioned and Sting's fists clenched tightly.

"Minerva returned to the guild. We spent a year looking for her and then she just showed up a couple days ago. She challenged me for the spot of guild master. But I didn't want to; we didn't do things like that anymore. I tried to explain that to her but she didn't care. She didn't want to hear any of my reasons. Eventually I had to give in and fight her, it was the only way I could protect the guild but she managed to overpower me… She then kicked us out," Sting explained and Makarov could only listen in shock.

"Do you know why she did that?" Makarov questioned and Sting let out a bitter laugh, the rest of his ex-guild members looking away in shame.

"Because we lost at the Grand Magic Games. I explained that she lost too, Fairy Tail was too powerful, more powerful than any of us truly anticipated but she wasn't having any of it. She called us disgraces and swore that she wouldn't let a Fairy beat her again. She wasn't happy that the Fairies and Tigers have befriended each other. She's hell bent on her thirst for power. The rest of the guild, I know they're scared of her… but they didn't have to follow her blindly… so much for a guild based on friendship" Sting finished, his tone deeply saddened as he thought of all his friends.

"I see. That is troubling news. So Minerva has completely lost her way. I was hoping she wouldn't follow in her father's footsteps, but I guess that is not the case. What can I do for you?" Makarov questioned, he wanted to ask them to join his guild, but he also wanted them to join Fairy Tail of their own accord, not because they saw it as their only option.

"Master Makarov, I would like to accept the offer of joining Fairy Tail, that is, if it's still available" Yukino replied timidly, looking down at the office floor.

"And the rest of you?" Makarov asked, turning to the four boys and two cats.

"We'd like to join too. If you'd permit it" Rogue butt in, Orga and Rufus nodding their consent.

"Hmmmm… your thoughts Laxus?" Makarov questioned, turning his eyes to his grandson, who merely shrugged in response.

"Why do you need my input? We both know you're going to let them join anyway Old Geezer. As if you'd ever turn away anyone who wanted to join Fairy Tail" Laxus replied, his tone completely disinterested as Makarov chuckled.

"That is correct my boy. Now, where do you want your guild marks?" Makarov questioned, pulling out the stamp from his desk drawer. Sting and Rogue stepped towards Master Makarov, white and black guild marks proudly displayed on their left shoulders. Orga gained his own respective insignia in black on his left pectoral while Rufus had his own dark green symbol placed just under his left collarbone. Makarov shot up in the air, blood spilling out of his nose as he placed Yukino's gold symbol on the left of her waist, slightly drooling at the sight of the smooth skin.

"Perverted old geezer" Laxus mumbled as he cocked his head to the side, Yukino blushing in response.

"Alright, what about you two?" Master questioned, to the shock of the two Exceeds.

"You want us to join too?" Lector questioned, standing on Sting's shoulder, his large eyes widening further.

"Fro wants to know too," Frosch added, copying Lector as he stood on Rogue's shoulder.

"Of course, you are Sting and Rogue's partners are you not?" Makarov questioned and both Exceeds nodded, causing Makarov to grin at them too.

"Then, you must be a part of Fairy Tail too, and therefore, you need your own guild mark" Makarov replied and the two Exceeds nodded, before Frosch spoke up.

"But… Isn't Fro too weak to join a guild?" Frosch questioned, tears in his eyes, remembering when Jiemma had almost killed Lector for daring to don Sabertooth's guild mark.

"There is no such thing as a weak guild member, everyone in the guild has their own strengths. Happy, Carla, Lily and Frost all help their Dragon Slayers, just like you help Rogue; that is your strength," Makarov replied and Frosch nodded enthusiastically, rubbing the tears out of his eyes

"Now, where do you want your guild mark?" Makarov asked once again.

"Blue, on my back" Lector replied, pulling up his waistcoat.

"Fro would like Fro's in pink, on Fro's back please" Frosch replied, opening his frog costume and letting Master Makarov stamp his back.

"There you go! You are now all fully fledged members of Fairy Tail, wear your guild mark with pride and honour," Makarov said, grinning at them with happiness sparkling in his eyes.

"LAXUS! Introduce them to the guild!" Makarov yelled and Laxus grumbled before getting up and leaving, signalling the new members to follow him. When he reached the banister of the second floor, he growled at the noise in the guild.

Cobra silently listened to Lucy's soul, her usually short and jovial piano tenors and harp strings being drawn out until they were long and low notes, resembling how deep in thought she really was. It was a refreshing change to everyone around him. The song her soul played constantly differed, various instruments fading in and out as her emotions changed. It wasn't something he heard very often; in fact he didn't think he'd ever heard anyone's soul change the way their soul sounded based on different emotions. Most people only had one of two instruments that played different notes of that one same song; the tempo and beat were the only things affected by their emotions, nothing else. But her soul, hers was complex and intricate. Even the colours of her soul would wane and brighten, the hues changing based on her emotions. Just one moment in her soul and he could tell exactly what she was feeling; it seemed that the blonde was full of nothing but raw emotion.

He walked over to the bar, as he remembered the flash of fangs he'd witnessed, fully intent on finding out whether his mind was playing tricks on him or not. Taking a seat next to her, he quickly gathered her attention as she was snapped out of her thoughts by his sudden movement. He watched, amused as she glared at him from the corner of her eye before ignoring him, her eyebrows furrowed as she scowled. He knew she wasn't angry with him but at the punch. Or more, she was angry that she'd been hit. Something animalistic deep within her soul was displeased and the more he delved to find whatever it was, the more it eluded him. Frustration filled him as he dug deeper and deeper and he'd almost cornered it, only to be caught in a torrential whirlpool of pure, unadulterated emotion that immediately had him retreating. The screaming mesh of random instruments had been way too loud and had almost burst his eardrums. She was unconsciously hiding something and he had a feeling it had everything to do with the sudden appearance of her sharpened teeth.

"Go away Cobra" Lucy mumbled, pouting slightly. She knew she was being childish, but really how else was she supposed to act. The alpha dragon was whining and sulking because she had let him hit her. She should have seen it coming but she was so caught up in her want to lecture him that she had ignored the warning of her instincts.

"Stop acting like a fucking child. You grabbed my ear, what did you want me to do? Punching you was simply a reflex. I'm not one of your guild mates who's just going to let you walk over them like a little bitch" Cobra replied, Lucy scowling at him before guilt flashed across her eyes. Cobra was right; she shouldn't have pinched his ear like that. He wasn't Natsu or Gray; she didn't know him all that well. If she honestly thought about it, she was lucky all he did was punch her away. He could have easily poisoned her, and it would have been all because she let her dragon take the reigns for those few moments. She was no longer surprised by how often the dragon slayers got into fights, especially since she could now empathise with it. Lucy simply wondered how Wendy managed to supress it.

"Show me your teeth" Cobra ordered suddenly and Lucy backed away slightly, sending him a strange look.

"What the… no?" Lucy replied, freaked out by his command.

"Something to hide?" Cobra questioned and Lucy's eyes widened for a fraction before turning into slits. Had he somehow figured something out, and if so what? It wasn't like she was hiding anything. She just wanted to speak to Master before anyone else. At least then he could explain it to the guild and she wouldn't be stuck explaining it a hundred times over. Just as Lucy opened her mouth to answer, she was cut off by Laxus' thundering voice.

"OI! LISTEN UP" Laxus yelled, drawing the attention of everyone in the guild.

"LAXUS! FIGHT ME" Natsu called as he tried to jump up to the second floor.

"SHUT UP NATSU. I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT" Laxus yelled, sending a bolt of lightning towards Natsu.

"IT HURTS" Natsu yelled, rolling on the floor, his clothes slightly singed.

"Now, that I have your attention. It seems we have a few more new additions to the guild, excluding Cobra. You better welcome them into the guild" Laxus replied, annoyance in his voice before he nodded at the now ex-Sabertooth members, leaving them to join his table one again. The guild stood in shock, completely still as they took a look at the new members. Suddenly, Macao and Wakaba started cheering, hearts in their eyes as they stared at Yukino. Romeo, Vijeeter and Elfman started cheering at the addition of the two new Dragon Slayers and Happy and Frost flew over to Lector and Frosch, welcoming them to the guild, Happy offering them each a fish.

"EIGHT DRAGON SLAYERS IN A GUILD!" Romeo yelled, dancing along with Elfman and Vijeeter.

"THAT'S A REAL MAN" Elfman shouted, causing Evergreen to hit him with her fan.

Lucy was the only one who wasn't openly celebrating. Instead, she stood perfectly still, her eyes wide as she tried to process the new information. This couldn't be happening. Every Dragon Slayer needed had been gathered in this one guild. Cobra joining had been a slight warning but hadn't begun ringing any alarm bells. However, with the addition of Sting and Rogue, her instincts were going haywire and that could only mean one thing. The immortals were coming and they were coming soon. Lucy had to tell Master as soon as possible, he would know what to do. Cobra turned his attention to Lucy, his eye narrowing when he heard her thoughts. What the hell was she thinking about and what did it have to do with him and the two other dragon slayers?

'You mean nine dragon slayers' Lucy off handedly remarked, silently correcting all the cheering coming from her guild members. Cobra's eye widened slightly at the loud and clear thought, immediately confirming his suspicions. So the blonde was indeed a Dragon Slayer. It explained the change in her scent, her teeth, the animalistic being deep in her soul and the familiar power emanating from her magical core. But none of it made sense, she hadn't been all that useful in the Grand Magic Games against the dragons and he doubted she'd keep her Dragon Slaying magic a secret when her friends were in danger. So what had exactly happened in the year that he'd been imprisoned? Was she a second generation like him? It was the only plausible solution he could come up with. Either way, he was itching to interrogate the blonde later on.
