"Ah. I was wondering how long I was going to rot here before you would visit." Kristoph looked up from the book in his lap, setting the bookmark in as calm as ever. He looked no different from the day Apollo had seen him go to prison. The only different was a dangerous glint in his eyes as he greeted Apollo.
The brunette swallowed nervously and stopped in front of his cell, watching as his former mentor- and now one of the most despicable people the attorney knew, stood up, setting the book down and smiling. "... Justice... I heard you're doing well." He added into the silence, studying the other from the corner of his eyes. He was waiting, patiently, for Apollo to say something. Apollo didn't plan on disappointing this time.
"You're disgusting." He spat, glaring at the older Gavin brother as his hands balled into fists. "All those years... How long did you do that to him?" He demanded. Klavier... He was terrified to talk about Kristoph, or even mention him in passing. Apollo had a good idea why, he just needed the blue suited man behind the bars to admit what he was doing to confirm his suspicions.
"... To who, Justice?" Kristoph walked over to the bars, staring evenly at Apollo. "... My pathetic excuse of a brother, I'm guessing..." He added as Apollo's glare only darkened, sighing softly and shaking his head.
"How could you? Your own flesh and blood..." Apollo couldn't finish his sentence. He had also tried to send his best friend to prison, he reminded himself. He shouldn't expect anything less from him.
"That made it all the easier." Kristoph's reply was like ice.
"Why." Apollo simply stared. He didn't know what to say. Was he going to admit it? Kristoph sighed, shaking his head, before crossing his arms and smiling.
"Apollo." Apollo had never heard Kristoph use his first name. It was always his last name. Never, since he had met the man, had he called him Apollo. He felt dread shivered up his spine but fought to keep it from showing. There was no way this man was getting even a hint of weakness from him. "Klavier would never have let his dear big brother down. And I doubt he will now. Did you know how rare it is for someone who is gas-lit to fully grip the fact and break free?"
Apollo's heart nearly froze as the truth came out, and Kristoph leaned forward. "No matter what you do, Apollo. No matter what you say, feel, think... Klavier is always going to be there for me. All those years I spent "protecting" and "caring" for him... I admit it was somewhat sincere. He is my baby brother, after all. But business is important- and Klavier was a stepping stone for me. Just like everyone else." He smirked a little. "If I called, we both know who he'll listen to. Why don't you run back to Wright and ask him what to do now, Justice?" He added darkly.
Apollo simply stared. He couldn't believe it. This entire time. Klavier had- no. He wasn't going to think about that, not now. He couldn't let Krsitoph see his fear, anger, and he clenched his fist. God how he wished he could just get into that prison and just punch him. Knock the man out for all he'd done-
"Stay away from Klavier, Kristoph. If I ever find you near him again, I will end you- personally." Apollo hissed, turning and leaving.
He didn't turn back at all, trying to ignore Kristoph's dark laughter following him down the hall, pulling out his phone and calling Phoenix. He had to let Mr. Wright know he was on his way, after all, he told himself.
