p class="MsoNormal"At first I tried to keep track of the days, as well as trying to maintain civilized, but the vibe of the ship was do or die; literally. I was forced to conform and soon enough I began to enjoy it immensely. There were no rules other than the basics like I had to swab the deck and then I trained in sword fighting daily, no matter what, and though the food was gross, everything was dirty, and some of the guys were pretty scary, I enjoyed having a break from my usual life. I got to be a complete new person. One who could burp and scream and play with weapons. I did not have to be even remotely lady like, because I wasn't a girl! I was Edward Hayes, or Sharpshootin Ed, as I was known to be called, able to shoot an object from miles away. Also, I had thought that it would be hard to conceal that I was female but, luckily, I figured out how to blend in very quickly. All I had to do was keep quiet, swab the decks, and steal treasure. All was good./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanAfter a fun day of racing sea monsters and stealing treasure, I decided that I would end the day with enjoying the beautiful night sky. After all the pirates had crashed in their bunks, I snuck out on the the deck where I shimmed up the mast and sat in the outlook post. I had never realized how marvellous the night sky could be until I became a pirate. The stars were both a symbol of adventure and wonder to me, but also a sickening reminder of all that I have left behind. I was dozing off when I heard an odd whirring noise. I looked down below me and nearly fell of my post due to what I saw./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanBefore me on the deck, was a blue box. I was shocked. Its a police box! I thought. I haven't seen one of those since... Any other thoughts paused as that day that I was taken aboard; the day I was kidnapped, flashed through my memory. My heart ached as I remembered that my case should have been done by now, so my family probably assume that I was dead. Plus, the Queen, for all I know, could have been killed by Voldemort or his followers, because Kingsley and I weren't there. All of my thoughts halted though, when the police box's door opened./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanA man in a suit jacket and stylish bow tie, with messy sandy hair and an impish grin stepped out of the box. "Oh look! Its a pirate ship!" He said to the box. For some strange reason, a sad look flashed across his face, but then was quickly replaced with a childish glee. Then a girl stepped out of the box. She had auburn curls fastened into a braid and was wearing a cute orange and yellow flower skirt with a matching yellow top. She adjusted the thin wire framed glasses on her freckled nose./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /span"It sure is Doctor," she responded. The look on both their faces showed amusement, and I had the idea that they had faced far more menacing things than the blood thirsty pirates dwelling on this ship in their life. Slowly and quietly climbed down the post. I had pushed out my past, once again, convincing myself once more that the past was nothing. I chuckled in my head. My life pattern really was, live, love, lose, forget, remember, repeat. The pirate life was great; free of any serious responsibilities, but if I had the chance to go back to my old life, or something similar, and see my family again or even act like a girl for once, I would definitely take it./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /span"Oi!" I said toward to the two strangers who had somehow, in a police box, magically appeared on the most heavily guarded ships across any ocean. I walked over to them, putting my fingers to my lips to make sure to stay quiet. The last thing I wanted was a bunch of tired pirates being woken up while I tried to leave. That would not go well. "Who are you and why do you have a police box?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanThe two of them still looked a little surprised when the man answered. "I'm the Doctor." He smiled, putting out his hand to shake mine. I shook his hand and then turned to the girl. She looked to be about my same age which I believed was almost twenty know. I did the quick math in my head trying to remember. If I was right that meant that I had been on this ship for almost three years! I smiled awkwardly, realizing that I was still dressed as a boy and covered in dirt. I shook her hand as well./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /span"I am Jane Hope Bleatherfield," She smiled. "Sorry that we landed on your ship. The Doctor put the TARDIS on 'random time' and 'random place' just for fun. We just had a rather, er, exciting but dangerous adventure and we were looking for a fun break." She paused. "'Who are you?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanHmm. How to answer this... "Um. I am Edward Hayes, or Sharpshooter Ed," I began. Then I suddenly felt a great feeling that I could trust them. "No! Wait! I am actually Usa Florentine Weasley!" I dropped my voice. "I am actually a girl. I was kidnapped while on a secret mission for a group that I belong to that required me to dress like a boy. I kept up with the false identity in order to save my skin." The Doctor and Jane looked at me sympathetically. "So," I began again. "I was wondering if you could take me back to my family or even just off this ship. You appeared in a police box, and being from the Tumblrland in the United Kingdom I recognized it. Surely you can just save me or something..."/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanJane turned toward the Doctor. Her eyes pleaded that he would say yes, but the Doctor had already made up his mind. "Of course!," the Doctor exclaimed. "Hop aboard Madam. A fierce spirit like yourself will surely enjoy the ride on this police box." I grinned and followed Jane and the Doctor into the box. Giving myself to chance, I decided to truly trust them. Plus anyone who could use magic to fly a police box through the night was someone I wanted to meet. I blocked any judgement and doubts I had and jumped into the wind. Done with the pirates life, on to the stars./p
