Chapter 8

Kaname's P.O.V

While everyone in the night class had gone to their stall with their screaming fans and yes I myself had gone to my own stall with my fans. I could make out about twenty or more of the Day class girls waiting for me as they are bunched up together with cheerful and bubbly whenever I get closer to them especially their squealing. When I had arrived standing now in front of them they all complemented me and told me how they love me which is quite flattering but of course it can be a bothersome if they were to follow me around like a lost little lambs. The girls started handing their Valentines gifts to me which I noticed how many I had been given and holding. I stared at many gifts for a few moments and thought about something or someone. I lifted my head up looking for a certain person and that was when my gaze fall upon seeing Yuuki separate herself from everyone else until I noticed someone following after her to the side of the school building. I raised an eyebrow wondering what that boy is up to having to follow Yuuki then again why is Yuuki going off by herself without telling me or the others where she was heading. I handed the gifts back to some of the girls to hold for me until I get back after dealing with a matter of two wondering students.

"Hold onto them for me" I told the girls as I had handed them over to the girls, turning around and headed to the side of the building following Yuuki and the student following her.

"Kaname-senpai! You're coming back right!?" one of the girls had shouted asking but I did not respond to her and just continued making my way around the building knowing the others had heard what the girls asked and they be watching where I was going as well wondering why am I leaving. They will probably ask me questions and which I would have to answer them...such a bothersome. I continued pursue on the present matter when I thought to wonder why am I having to act like these. Maybe because the reason I care to worry is that she is the hair of the Kuran bloodline so I should have my concerns especially when someone is following her. I continued my way down when the sense of worry got stronger as I got closer.

"Let go of me" Yuuki said with a calm and steady voice which I can hear as I get closer to the scene. When I heard Yuuki's voice and to what she asked from the boy who had followed her to let her go, it had caused me to clench my hands into a fist before making my way even close. I had come to see the human still holding onto Yuuki's wrist not letting her go.

"Please Yuuki-sama be my Val..." I stepped out and into view before he could ever finished his sentence.

"Let...her...go...You have no right to lay your dirty hand on her" I said to the human with strong and demanding of my voice. I stepped closer they both looked at me as if a little shocked though when I looked towards Yuuki I can see that she looked in confusion and yet relief that he had interrupted to whatever was happening here. Why is she relieved? when she could simply destroy these boy if she wanted to. I looked away from Yuuki looking back towards the boy noticing he still has a hold of Yuuki's wrist even after I demanded him to let go of her. I stared at him with serious and fears like in my eyes along with an annoyed expression on my face that soon caused the boy release her wrist and stepped back away from the two of us "We have people waiting for us...We must take our leave and return" I said taking Yuuki's hand pulling her along side with me as we headed back. I had yet to release her hand as we walked away from the boy, her hand felt so small and smooth like glass in mine as if I held to tight her hand would break. Yet it was so warm and soft she gave off that same kind of warmth that lead you into a peaceful slumber. But I knew she could protect herself that is she wanted to she could break a persons neck if she so desired.

KANAME-KUN!" screamed a group of girls screamed out my name as we returned to the stalls, Yuuki pulled her hand from my grasp as she walked to the stall with her name. Many guys lined up holding a single red rose each and some has chocolates with a rose, Yuuki accepted many of their gifts. It was hard to focus on politely accepting the chocolates and declining their feelings when my eyes kept wondering to Yuuki as the bunch of roses grew as she accepts them from the students I found myself growing more irritation till I saw a guy boldly enough to kiss her hand as he had taken her hand in his.

"I'm sorry, my hands are full. I can't accept anymore" I said quickly to the girls in front of me.

"It's alright, thank you" They shouted at me squealing about me being a coll gentlemen. As I turned away from them to see Yuuki received another kiss on her hand again, I found my frustration rising.

"Yuuki we mus be leaving now" I said in what I hoped was a calm voice, she looked up at my face a little surprised an concerned.

"I'm sorry but I must be leaving now" Yuuki said addressing the boys now openly glaring at me.

"It's okay Yuuki-chan" Said the group of boys shooting another glare back at me as I placed my hand on the small of Yuuki's back leading her away.

"Are you okay Kaname? You sounded odd before" Yuuki asked as she walks beside me.

"I'm fine Yuuki" I replied hating how those boys called her Yuuki-chan, the flowers she holds in her arms...I wanted too make them burn but I don't think she would be too happy about it if I did so "What's your favourite colour Yuuki?" I asked

"Red" She answered, well that makes it hard I wanted to give her a rose that would stand out from the others. Suddenly Yuuki's roses were stolen from her by Numachi.

"You shouldn't accept flowers from other men, your engaged Yuuki-sama. Kain burn these" Numachi demanded of Kain once she was done reprimanding Yuuki.

"Numachi" SLAP.. "You have no right to tell me how I am to behave and act, now return my roses" Yuuki demanded to Numachi after giving her a slap across the cheek as we entered the school building out of sight of the Day class students.

"Numachi I accepted some chocolates from other girls, you don't get to speak for me or tell my Fiance and who is a pureblood" I said glarring at her grabbing the roses and handing them back to Yuuki. As we continued to our classrooms, Shiki and Rima following behind us the teacher was no where in sight when we entered the room. I continued to the back of the room dragging Yuuki be her hand. As we took our seats at the back Numachi to sat beside me but Shiki and Rima glared at her.

"Go sit somewhere else" Shiki said sounding threatening instead of his usual bored self.

"You can't tell me what to do" Numachi responded defiantly.

"Go sit up front Numachi I don't want your disrespectful attitude anywhere near me" commanded Yuuki.

"Then go sit somewhere else Yuuki" Numachi responded in an ignorantly.

SLAP!

"You don't get to talk like that to her Numachi, your just as bad as that dimwitted child Kurai. I don't want you anywhere near me" I growled at her after having to slap her with such force she fell to the ground out of her seat.

"Yuuki-sama may be our friend Numachi but you don't treat your friends like that and especially a pureblood. If she had tolerated your behavior, one would think she's weak and then she could be attacked. Besides shes the future head of the Kuran Clan" Said Rima glaring at Numachi as she then rose from where she sat, going to strike at Rima, when a spark of electricity flicker across Rima's skin. How immature and disgraceful can these girls get can't they be more mature like refined women like Yuuki, Rima and Ruka.

Class went by slowly seeming to take forever with the girls in the class behaving a little differently then usual. Even Rima seemed to be cherishing a certain blue rose, I think Shiki gave it to her though Yuuki seemed the same. Once class was over we were gathering our hings to leave when Siren suddenly handed me a bunch of papers in a file folder. It was the pictures and prices of rings, so far none of them seem right for Yuuki. When suddenly I saw an enchantingly, elegant simple silver ring with a large tear drop shaped ruby in the center and on either side of that ruby stood two diamonds. I grabbed the paper with the ring on it and handed it to Siren so she may go get it for me, bring it back to me along with a dozen red roses with a black ribbon tied around it as instructed. As we made it to the office area me and Yuuki shared, Siren had got everything and placed it in my room. I left Yuuki in the office to get the roses and ring for her, when I returned I found her bored slowly plucking the petals from the roses and dropping then into a bowl, she had already destroyed four roses so far.

"What are you doing?" I asked in surprised she would be destroying flowers of the colour she likes.

"Plucking petals" She said calmly.

"Why?" I asked my voice calmer but still confused.

"They like me fore my face...not for me so why should I be kind to these roses which has no thought behind it. Besides all girls likes roses" She replied.

"Well when you put it that way. I wonder why you wanted them back" I noted to her as I approached to her with the roses behind my back and the ring in my pocket. "Well in that case" I said as I slowly knelt beside her seat by the window seal "I hope you are far kinder to these roses which are only red because you said it was your favourite colour and they are from me" I continued bringing the flowers from behind me into view for her to see.

"Thank you! They are beautiful" She said as she smelt them and played with the ribbon as she took it in her hand holding them in a much kinder care with them. "But I'm sorry I don't have anything for you" She continued seeming a little upset.

"It's fine I expect nothing but it would be nice if you accept this ring" I answered pulling the box from my pocket and opening it for her to see the ring rest it in the palm of my hand as I hold it out to her.

"It's beautiful Kaname" She muttered soothing and breath taking.

"It's an engagement ring, even if we didn't choose this I still wanted to get you something that would suit you" I explained as I placed the ring on her left hand, placing a kiss on the top of her hand.

"Thank you" She thanked me kissed my cheek as I raised my head.

"Your welcome" I said in respond I rose from the floor to dispose of those stupid boxes filled with chocolates sitting on the desk, I think Aido might like them very much when he sees them.
