9th April

"Okay so I've confirmed everything with the caterer, florist and double checked everything with the venue. Abigail and Cheryl are finishing the arch tonight, and Ellen and Elosha are decorating the chairs for the ceremony as we speak. So it looks like we are all set for you two to get married tomorrow at 4pm" Marcy told Bill and Laura.

"Thank you, you've been amazing in helping us organise this wedding" Bill replied gratefully.

"Your welcome, I've really enjoyed helping to plan my best friend's wedding to a wonderful guy" Marcy said smiling.

"So all the girls will meet here and all the guys will meet at Saul's at 11am" Laura clarified to the trio.

"All things going to plan that's what I'm hoping" Marcy said, before turning to Katie and adding "you're going to be such a pretty flower girl aren't you Katie", causing the young girl who was playing nearby on her activity mat to turn her head and grin at the group.

"Yeah, you're Mommy and Daddy are getting married tomorrow" Marcy said in a sing song voice.

"Bababamabamaba" Katie squealed in response, pushing up on her hands and slowly moving towards them, her arms doing most of the work, as she wriggled her legs behind her.

"You're going to have your hands full with her soon" Marcy commented, as Laura picked up Katie and sat back on her chair.

"Oh I know, you can't leave her alone for two minutes, without her getting up to something" Laura replied grinning, and peppering Katie's face with kisses.

"Come on, it's time for your bath now pumpkin, let's leave Mommy and Marcy to have some girl talk" Bill said picking up Katie from Laura's lap and lifting her over his head, making the little girl giggle.

10th April

"Morning Mommy" Zak said as Laura walked into the kitchen, carrying Katie, where Bill, Lee and Zak were eating breakfast.

"Morning bub, how are you today?"

"Good, I'm excited for today and to eat some cake" Zak told Laura excitedly.

"Me too, and there'll be plenty of cake" Laura replied chuckling and placing Katie in her highchair, before heading over to the fridge to grab Katie's breakfast.

"Do you want to try so banana today?" Laura asked excitedly, holding up a piece of banana she had just sliced, for Katie to examine. The young girl took the piece of fruit and looked at it curiously, before placing the slice in her mouth.

"Is it good?" Laura asked as a satisfied smile graced Katie's face.

"Eaama" Katie squealed with a toothy grin when she finished, holding her hands out towards Laura for more.

"Are you ready to go to Saul's?" Bill asked the boy's, as he placed the dishes used for their breakfast in the dishwasher.

"Yep" Lee and Zak chorused together excitedly.

"Okay, then go grab the bags we packed last night and put them in the car" Bill told them, wanting a moment alone with Laura.

"I guess I'll see you next when you're walking down the aisle, I'll be the one in the tux looking nervous" Bill said wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I'll be the one in the white dress, I love you" Laura replied kissing him softly.

"I love you too" Bill said embracing her in a tight hug, only pulling away when he heard the boys running down the stairs.

"Bye Mommy" Zak said running into the kitchen to give Laura a hug.

"Bye bub, I'll see you later" she replied kissing the top of his head.

"Bye Mom" Lee added following his brother into the kitchen.

"Bye buddy, you make sure you're brother doesn't get into any trouble okay?" Laura replied ruffling his hair.

"Okay" Lee said hugging her quickly.

"You look adorable" Laura said holding her hands out towards Katie who was dressed in a sleeveless off white tulle and lace dress, with a light grey sash around her waist, tied in a bow at the back.

"She does doesn't she" Evelyn replied smiling, just as Marcy entered the living room carrying a box containing six bouquets with white chrysanthemums, peach and coral roses and, white and peach coloured carnations.

"Okay everything is set up at the venue" Marcy told Laura, giving her a quick hug.

"Thank you, now sit down, it's time for you to have a break. I'll grab you a glass of champagne and you let Emma here do your hair and makeup" Laura said mock sternly.

"Do you want a glass of champagne Ellen?" Laura asked as she went to grab a couple of glasses.

"No I'm alright".

"Are you sure? There's plenty here".

"No I'm good, ummm I'll come help you though" Ellen said following Laura.

"I haven't told anyone yet, but I can't drink any alcohol, because I found out last week I'm 8 weeks pregnant" Ellen told Laura when they were out of earshot from the other girls.

"You are, that's fantastic" Laura replied beaming, hugging her tightly, "this is good news right?"

"Yeah it is, seeing you with the Katie and the boys, and spending time with them, made me realise I wanted a family with Saul, but we never really talked about it and then a few weeks ago I wasn't feeling great and bought a test just to be on the safe side, and it was positive" Ellen said smiling, "Saul's ecstatic and thinking about staying on Caprica on a more permanent basis".

"That's great, I'm really happy for you two" Laura replied, "plus I know Bill would love to see Saul more often, and I'm sure there will be plenty of play dates in the future".

"Thank you, it's really good to be able to tell someone, but we want to wait until the first trimester is over before making the news public" Ellen said softly.

"Absolutely, no one will find out from Bill or I. Come on, it's nearly three o clock and you girls need to get in your dresses" Laura replied wrapping an arm around Ellen.

"You all look amazing" Laura said admiring the five girls as they walked down the stairs in peach coloured chiffon maxi dresses, with ruched detail and a notch bandeau neckline.

"Thank you" Cheryl replied twirling in the dress at the bottom of the stairs.

"I want to see you all with your bouquets" Laura said excitedly, motioning for Marcy to unwrap the flowers.

"I love it, especially those flowers in your hair Elosha" Laura commented when all the girls were lined up in front of her.

"Now we just have to get you ready" Ellen replied, coming to stand next to where Laura was seated with Katie on her lap, at a vanity brought by the hairdresser.

"Could you help me with these earrings?" Laura asked Ellen, handing her a small jewellery box with sapphire earrings inside.

"Sure….these are gorgeous" Ellen replied examining the earrings.

"Thank you, my mother got them for me for my eighteenth birthday, and I thought it would be a nice way to remember her and incorporate my something blue" Laura said with a touch of melancholy.

"That is a wonderful idea, maybe one day they'll be yours Katie" Ellen replied fastening the back of the earrings.

"Thank you" Laura said, sitting in front of the mirror, appreciating how the earrings complimented her hair and makeup. She had decided to go with big loose curls that framed her face and natural makeup, opting for a soft peach lipstick and a light smoky grey tone for her eyeshadow. Looking down at Katie and then at herself again, she smiled as the realisation hit her, she was about to marry the father of her child and the love of her life, she couldn't be happier.

"How do I look?" Bill asked shrugging on the light grey tuxedo two button notch jacket, over his white dress shirt and light grey vest.

"You clean up well" David replied with a chuckle, before asking "are you sweating?"

"I'm just a little nervous" Bill said sheepishly.

"Why are you nervous Daddy? Laura is the bestest lady in the whole of the colonies" Zak said in his matching tuxedo.

"Because I love Laura a lot, and I want today to go perfectly" Bill replied honestly.

"Don't worry Daddy, I'll make sure it does" Zak said with upmost confidence.

"Thanks bub" Bill replied giving Zak a big bear hug.

"Are you nearly ready to go, the car should be here in ten minutes" Joseph asked coming to stand by his son.

"Yeah I think everyone is ready, I just need to check on Lee, see if he's managed to tie his own tie, or wants to give up and let me do it" Bill replied with a chuckle.

"I saw him in front of the mirror in my room a few minutes ago, I think he will need your help after all. And Bill I just wanted to let you know that your mother and I are really proud of you and the life you're leading, you've found yourself a special one and I'm honoured to marry you two" Joseph said sincerely.

"Thank you Dad that means a lot" Bill replied, pulling his father into a brief hug.

The music began and the procession started, Zak and Lee appeared one after the other, each carrying a pillow with a platinum ring on top. Next was Kara who was trundling Katie along in a cart, while she threw petals along the aisle.

Bill smiled as the little girls arrived at his feet, and he picked up his little princess while Saul put the cart aside.

"Eeaaammmbbb" Katie squealed when she was in her fathers arms, causing the crowd chuckle as Elosha began to walk down the aisle followed by Abigail, Cheryl, Ellen and finally Marcy.

"Here we go" Joseph said as the music changed and Pachelbel's cannon in D started to play, "good luck".

"Thanks Dad" Bill replied taking a deep breath and handing Katie to his mother, who was seated in the front row, before turning to face his bride.

"Wow" was Bill's only statement as he took in the sight of Laura, she looked absolutely stunning in her ivory strapless sweetheart neckline mermaid style gown with full lace appliqué and a court train. Her hair was curled delicately around her face and her simple veil, fell softly behind her shoulders.

'Beautiful' was the first thought that popped into Laura's head when she saw the white metal arch covered in white, coral and peach roses, with white blossoms intertwined. She slowly walked down the white aisle runner, admiring the forty white fold out chairs on either side, each with a light grey satin sash, and flowers matching her bouquet.

As she neared the end of the aisle she took a deep breath, before looking straight at Bill, a smile gracing her face as she took the final few steps to her fiancé. She handed her bouquet to Marcy and turned to Bill, clasping his hands in hers.

"Hi" she whispered to him grinning.

"Hi" he replied beaming, as he took in the sight of her up close. His father started talking, but he could only focus on how beautiful his bride was.

The couple spent the ceremony relishing the moment and how grateful they were that they were here together with their family.

"It gives me great pleasure to now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride" Joseph said beaming. Laura grinned at Bill as he cupped a hand around her neck, and slowly lowered his mouth to hers in a searing kiss.

"I love you" Laura whispered when they parted.

"I love you too" Bill whispered back, kissing her softly again.

"Mr and Mrs Adama" Joseph said to the crowd smiling, as everyone began clapping.

"Deema" Katie squealed in excitement at all the commotion and Laura picked up her little girl kissing her on the cheek.

"Come on you two" Laura said to the boys motioning in front of her, smiling as they ran ahead of herself and Bill as they walked back down the aisle together.

The end, I hope you all enjoyed this story it was so fun to write and I'm looking forward to the sequel, if you liked it I'd love to read your review! :)
