"Thanks for doing this, Jason." I looked up to see a grey tentacled squid with dabs of green on the end of her tentacle, looking at me with a small smile on her face. She was wearing her favorite bear costume. Next to her was a little inkling, holding her mother's hand, wearing a princess costume.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss bonding time with my daughter and wife for anything. Besides, you wore that costume how many times now?"
"Oh come on, David. I've only worn it once…"
"Yea yea. Whatever Marie." A bit of playfulness seeped in my voice as I slipped into my squid flash costume, barely fitting the cowl on, much to Bianca's amusement. By the way, I'm Jason, and this is my wife Bianca. Or as inklings call us. David the E-liter user and Marie of the squid sisters respectfully. We were humans before we got murdered in case you were curious. Anyway, as soon as I got my cowl on. I saw Amy chuckling in amusement,
"isn't this a bit too small for you, daddy?"
"Yea, if you wanted a Halloween costume, you didn't need one. Just be yourself."
Really….? As I managed to put the cowl on snuggly. And time to get a bigger costume…. "Alright, ready?"
"Yep! Twick or trweat!" Amy cheered. Prompting Marie and I to chuckle together. 'How about we show her our telepathic abilities?'
'Meh, sure.' seeing her shrug in indifference seemed to be her way of saying ok.
"Alright Amy, here's a trick for you." Making her cock her head in confusion. After a bit, I looked at her 'here's the trick' Seeing Amy jump in the surprise of the telepathy made Marie and I burst out laughing. "There, you got tricked."
"H-how did you do that Daddy?!"
"Magic." As I saw Marie burst out laughing again as Amy calmed down.
"Come on then, let's go to the neighborhood!"
"Yep." her mother said calmly. Can't wait to see what's going to happen. But if that slimy son of a shark shows his face. Halloween is ruined. As I followed them both to the door, locking it on the way out.
We strolled together through the quiet yet peaceful neighborhood before a familiar voice stopped me and Marie in our tracks. "Trick or Treat David and Marie!" We laughed as Amy cheered
"Auntie Callie!" As a black tentacle squid came out. Wearing a spooky witch costume.
"Amy!" she cheered before hugging her. "You look ready to ask for candy!" she said eagerly. Before seeing Marie and I. scanning our clothes real quick before bursting into laughter "David! Your.. cowl!"
"Yea yea… preterite…"
"Well. Ready to go?" I heard my wife's voice interrupt.
"You bet!" Callie cheered as I saw Amy nod eagerly.
"Can't wait." as I saw the three head off. Good, that son of a shark didn't show up, let's have some fun! As I felt the wind on my face.
Hey everyone! I know this is like… 6 days after halloween? :P Sorry for the long delay in timing and stuff.. School and stuff. Also. On a more serious note. I know some of you are eager for me to continue New wars new love. However, due to the fact that I'm so busy all the time and seeing a lot of negative comments surrounding the story. I am discontinuing the story for now and starting straight up with one-shots. This was supposed to be like the epilogues of New Wars new love. Where David married Marie and had a child named Amy. I will be continuing the story a bit more behind the scenes when I can. But until I think I'm ready and you guys want it, this is what I can do for you all. Until next time!
