AN: This is dedicated to everyone who reviewed "Unspoken" - thank you. Another Cloud/Leon fic for you all. Prompt number 69 from the 100 challenge - "annoyance".

The door creaked as it swung open, reminding Tifa that she really needed to get the hinges oiled. Glancing up, she started to call out her usual greeting, then realised exactly who had just entered the bar.

"Leon?"

The only reply she received was a grunt and a nod. Oh yes, that was it. She remembered that he'd always been like this – he was probably the only person she knew who was even less talkative than Cloud. Speaking of whom… She looked across to the darkest corner of the room, where Cloud liked to sit. Even there, his bright blond hair stood out like a beacon.

"What brings you back to Radiant Garden, Leon?" She wanted to keep him away from Cloud – once those two spotted each other, there was going to be bloodshed. And if she could help it, it wasn't going to happen in her bar. Not if she had any say in the matter.

"I had something I had to take care of. Never said I wasn't coming back."

Tifa had to admit that was true. She placed a drink in front of him, then looked up to see an angry Cloud heading in their direction.

"Leonhart." Cloud growled the name as if it were a curse. Leon looked at him, waiting.

"Take it outside, guys." When they both ignored her first request, Tifa decided to take action. She grabbed hold of them both and flung them through the door, which had been opened just in time by a particularly observant Aerith.

"Are you sure that was a good idea, Tifa?"

Tifa shrugged. "Not sure at all. But I'm not cleaning blood off the floor again. Once was more than enough." Aerith had to agree with that.

Outside, Cloud and Leon continued to glare at each other. "You've got a lot of explaining to do, Leonhart, so I suggest you get on with it."

"I'm not sure where to begin."

"You could try the beginning. That's what most people do."

"I needed to know if… if my world was still there, and who was left. I needed to find Rinoa…"

Cloud scowled. He knew who Rinoa was, and didn't like where this story seemed to be heading. "And what, might I ask, did you need to find her for? You were gone for a year, Leonhart – we all thought you were dead."

"It was just something I needed to do, Cloud. I needed to tell her that it was over between me and her, that I had someone else."

"Why didn't you tell me you were going? I just woke up and you'd disappeared."

"I thought… I don't know what I thought."

"You thought I'd stop you." Cloud's voice had changed from the frustrated shouting to something much calmer.

"Yes."

The next moment, their lips met in a fierce, bruising kiss. Inside the bar, Aerith turned away from the window, smiling. "I think they'll be fine."

Tifa came to look at what was going on. "Well, that certainly explains why Cloud moped around for so long after Leon left. I can't believe we didn't know about it."

"Damn it, Leon, you are going to make it up to me for disappearing like that."

Leon smirked. "When would you like me to start?"

"Now, you idiot."

"That can be arranged."

Another passionate kiss, and Cloud found himself pressed against a wall, Leon pulling at his belts. "Why do they have to be so awkward?"

"You're the one who wears three of the damn things."

"Just shut up and kiss me, Cloud."

They were lucky they'd chosen a dark corner for their passionate reunion, or the patrons of Tifa's bar would have seen precisely what they were doing when they were all thrown out at closing time. As it was, they sheltered in the shadows, holding each other.

"Remind me to get you annoyed again, that was incredible."

Cloud smirked to himself, knowing that Leon couldn't see it. If Leon thought that was it for tonight, he was totally mistaken.
