Is GOD winning the war?

Chapter one

The tower ticked five the icy wind blew my frail cheek. I was lying on the fluffy new snow. My winter coat kept me warm, but of course not enough. I held my hands on my ears; they felt like a frozen icicles. One day I hope to live somewhere warm, or even hot, Maui would be nice, but Texas would do the trick. Michigan wasn't doing the trick at all, my room always stuffy in the summer, and of course cold now, I always say that cold is better in summer, but I regret it big time!

Schools started back up in a week and it was a bummer December always went by like speed flies on an airplane. I mumbled a few words and got out of the freezing pain. I looked at the sky. Nice and calm, I blew some more breaths and headed for the door, I opened the green door leading to the family room. The room smelled of burning fire and mom's specialty apple cider. I put some more wood in the fire, I was the man of the house, since my father died. I don't remember him much just the fuzzy beard and the sloppy smile. I was five and I wasn't really sad, but I wish I had been, because when the fire happened in my house, all the memories were burned to death.

My sister snored on the brown big couch in front of the small TV not like the Smiths big screen, sure I had Nintendo 64for it and I had a game boy color but it was nothing like the smiths big screen. They had a girl name Suzie and a twin boy named Rob they were both one year older then me
