In the maze, people change.

Cedric turned a corner, coming eye to eye with Viktor. Only it's not Viktor. Their eyes meet, and Cedric knows something's wrong. Terribly wrong.

When his wand is drawn, and a curse is on his tongue, Cedric's heart breaks.

His reflexes save him, but it hurts to do it.

Potter yells, and he knows it too.

Diggory can't hear him, the rushing in his ears.

He must win, but he must not lose Krum.

He must choose.

In the maze, people change.
