Wanted Person

Inside the small room, a man laid sleeping on bed with no covers. He looked peaceful, which was unusual for him, and was unaware of the small presence that was in top of him.

The small person was 7 inches tall. He had short, spiky, red hair with pointy ears. He was wearing a black jacket, with a matching shirt underneath. Dark brown pants and dark shoes.

He had a weird look on his face as he was watching the sleeping person's face. After a couple of minutes he shook his face and got close to the giant man's face.

"Hey J.R wake up" said the tiny person. "J.R" he said a little bit louder. He walked up closer and slapped his face with his tiny hand, but he didn't budge. The small figure started to get an annoyed, because he wasn't waking up. The small man's face formed into mischievous smile as he got an idea. He got close to the larger man's ear and took a big breath.

"HEY J.R WAKE UP" the small man yelled.

The young man in bed immediately sat up with a surprise look. "What, who's there?" the man said while looking around trying to see who woke him up.

The small person got tossed to the side as J.R sat up.

The young man calmed down and finally saw the tiny person.

"Oh, it's just you Gus" he said in a not caring voice, while getting out of bed.

"Yeah it's just me" he said as he stood up on the pillow.

J.R started to stretch trying to completely wake up. J.R was wearing a white T shirt with dark blue pajama pants.

He took of his shirt, got down on the floor and started to do some push ups. You could tell he took good care of his body, with those muscles he had. He wasn't too big, but he wasn't small either.

"So, I came yesterday, but I couldn't find you" he said, looking at the young man.

"Oh really" he said, not really paying attention.

"Where were you last night?" Gus said, looking suspiciously at J.R.

"I had to go get something" he said, now laying on his back doing sit ups.

"It took you all night just to get 'something'?" Gus said, trying to figure out what J.R was hiding.

"Yep" was all J.R said.

Gus looked around the room until his eyes stopped at the desk. In top of the desk, there was a black cloak. He could see that there was something underneath it. He got of the bed and walked towards the desk. It took him a couple of minutes to clime to the top of the desk. Gus looked at J.R, who wasn't paying any attention at him, he was lifting some weights he got from under the bed. Gus turned his head back and pulled the black clothing so he could see what was under it.

3, 2, 1…

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? Gus yelled, with a shocked face.

J.R, who was almost finished, looked up with an emotionless stare. "It's called a book Gus" he said as if he was explaining it to 5 year old.

Ignoring his sarcasm, Gus looked at J.R with a scared face. "Please tell me this isn't what I think it is" Gus said in a terrified voice.

"It's the Macuros" J.R stated.

Gus stared at J.R like he was crazy. "Are you out of your mind?!" He yelled in a panicking voice.

Gus started to pace back and forward holding his head. He looked like he was about to have a heat attack.

"I told you, I would do what ever it takes" J.R said in a serious tone.

"Yeah, but… you…this is…I mean…" he couldn't find the words.

Gus took deep breaths trying to calm himself down and started again.

"Do you know what's going to happen to you, now that you STOLE this from the wizard's council" Gus said, very worried.

J.R just shrugged his shoulders, not caring.

"J.R you're going to be the most wanted person in the magical world." Gus said quietly, as if someone else could hear.

J.R didn't respond and started to change clothes. He put on the same white shirt, black cargo pants and black tennis shoes. He went over to the chair were Gus threw the dark clothing and took a set of keys from a small pocket. Gus was just standing in top of the desk staring at J.R.

J.R left the small room without saying a word.

While going down the stairs Gus appeared with a poof on J.R's shoulder. After being quiet for some time he finally said something.

"What is that key for?" Pointing at the key he hadn't seen before.

"You'll see" was all J.R said.

Reaching the bottom floor they walked down the hallway.

"Man, why can't they fix the elevator" Gus said.

"Yeah, like the owner has the money for it." J.R said sarcastically.

"But it takes forever to go down all those stairs" Gus whined.

"You could've teleported you know" J.R said, looking at Gus.

"So could you, I thought that you didn't care about breaking the rules anymore". Gus said with a smirk. J.R stayed quiet until they reached the door.

"I don't" was all he said as he opened the door and went outside.

Even though it's stopped raining it was still pretty wet outside. There were a lot of clouds in the sky. It looked like it could rain at any moment. A few cars passed by in the street as they came out. There was no one around so Gus didn't bother to hide. They went around the building towards the back. That's when Gus saw it and his eyes went wide.

"J.R where did you get this?!" Gus said very surprised. He was referring to the black bike that was against the wall.

His face fell after a few moments. "Wait, did you steal this too?" Gus asked with a frown. J.R didn't say anything; he just got on the bike and turned it on.

"Wait" Gus said.

He snapped his fingers and a black helmet appeared on J.R's head. "We can't have you making a habit of breaking the rules now can we". He said with a smile. That smile soon disappeared. "Oh who am I kidding that ship has sailed."

"Can we go now" J.R said, annoyed. "Yeah, yeah" Gus said, waving his hand in front of his face, sounding defeated.

The streets was pretty empty, there were only a few cars driving by. It must have been because it was still kind of early in the morning.

J.R and Gus were riding very fast on that street…, well J.R was riding while Gus held on tight for his life on J.R's shoulder.

"Will you slow down." Gus yelled. "I'm about to freaking fall over here!"He shouted, but went into deaf ears.

Gus wondered if J.R really couldn't hear him or if he was just plain ignored him. Gus could just imagine a smile under that helmet.

"Come on, this isn't funny anymore!" He yelled.

Gus was about to shout again when suddenly they stopped.

There was a road block in front of them. It looked like there were cars lined up, up to two blocks. Everyone was honking their horns trying to get out of there.

"I wonder what's going on?" Gus asked. Finally being able to stand up on J.R's shoulder.

Gus didn't get a response. It wasn't as if he was expecting J.R to answer him anyway.

J.R looked around looking for somewhere to leave the bike. He saw an empty alley and went inside. He turned off the bike, got up and took of his helmet.

"Here get in" J.R said, turning the helmet upside down.

Gus got the idea and jumped inside the helmet. That way nobody could see him. J.R put his helmet between his left arm and torso.

J.R walked on the sidewalk, along the line of cars that were waiting to pass.

After a few blocks they saw the cause of the traffic. There were cop cars everywhere, with a couple of ambulances. It seems they were investigating something. There was yellow tape around the middle of the street, blocking the road. People were standing around looking and talking to each other, trying to figure out what was going on. The center of attention were the five bodies on the ground.

One man who was on the ground, next to a car with a broken window on the driver's side, was covered with shattered glass all over his body. Another man who was laying against an open dumpster was covered in garbage, it looked like he just had been pulled out of the dumpster. The third man who was near a streetlight was wrapped around a chain from neck to toe, it seems that he had been hanging from the streetlight and the cops had just finished taking him down. Near the middle of the street there was the fourth guy, who was a big guy. He was laying on the ground facing up. The last guy, who you almost couldn't see was underneath the big guy being squished, looking at the ground.

Those two were the ones that were the most injured of them all. They all were beaten pretty badly, they were bruised, bleeding and all of them had at least two broken bones. The ambulance people were checking them to see how bad they were injured.

The cops were taking pictures of everything.

"Man this guys need to be treated immediately." One of the ambulance's crew said while finishing examining the injured men. "We need to take them to the hospital right away." He said to the police man who was in charge.

The cop nodded "Alright get them out of here."

"Do we have any leads to find out who did this?" the cop asked the inspector next to him. The investigator was writing down on his small notebook.

The police man was wearing the usual dark blue uniform cops wear and he had short black hair with a matching mustache.

The inspector was wearing a light brown coat, a white button up shirt with a red tie, and black pants.

"Unfortunately, no." He said "Who ever did this got away clean. He didn't leave anything. No trace, no fingerprint, no nothing."

"There is one thing that bothers me though"

"What's that?" The police man asked.

"There are five men that we found, yet we only confiscated four motorcycles." The inspector said.

"So the guy who did this took it after he was done here?" the officer asked.

"That's what I'm assuming" The inspector said, while looking through his notes.

"The guy probably has already changed the plate number though" The officer said. There was no way they could possibly find him without a trace or anything to track him down with.

"Yes, so this is pretty much a dead end" The inspector said with an annoyed voice.

Unknown to the two men talking, the person they desperately wanted to find was just standing a few feet away from them.

Gus, who was watching from the inside of the helmet, was looking at all the damage that was everywhere, but stopped when he saw four motorcycles that the police were taking away on a truck.

The gears inside his head started to move. 'Five bad guys and four very familiar looking bikes.' He thought, while looking back at the alley where they came from.

His eyes winded at the realization.

He slowly looked up, narrowing eyes, at J.R's emotionless face.

"You did this didn't you." Gus hissed at J.R.

J.R ignored Gus's accusation and kept staring at the five men that were being taken away. After he couldn't see the ambulance anymore, he turned around and walked back towards the alley.

"You just couldn't be satisfied being a wanted person in the magical world could you, …noooooo, now you want to make yourself a wanted person in the human world too!" Gus said in a loud voice as they went back into the alley.

Auther's notes: I always have fun writing J.R and Gus's conversations.
