Hospital

The hospital, as expected, was very busy. The waiting room was completely filled with people, injured and non-injured. The people that were fine were shouting at the front desk, trying to get their family members some medical attention. The once that were injured had all kinds of problems. Head injuries, broken legs, broken arms, bleeding, cuts the list could go on. Doctors and nurses were running all over the place trying to attend everyone. In short, it was complete chaos.

When the Russo family went inside they weren't surprised to see all these people. The moment they set foot in the hospital they knew it wasn't going to be easy to find a doctor to help them.

"How are we going to get someone to help us in this mess?" Alex asked watching at the entire chaos that was in front of her.

"That's a good question" Jerry said getting a better hold on the unconscious young man. Jerry was carrying one arm over his shoulders while Justin had the other.

"Mom, how exactly were you planning on getting Justin checked if you knew it was going to be like this?" Alex asked.

"Alex, you should know that it pays to have friends." Theresa said smiling. Alex gave her a confused look.

"Theresa over here!" Someone yelled. Alex saw a woman standing in front of a hall waving at them. It seemed the woman worked there as a doctor. She had dark hair with light brown skin.

"Mom, who is that?" Justin asked as they started walking towards the woman.

"A good friend of mine that's going to do us a big favor." She said.

"Hi Theresa it's been a while since the last time I saw you." The woman said, giving Theresa a hug. "It sure has." She said returning the hug. When they finished Theresa introduced her. "Maria, you already know my husband Jerry."

"Nice to see you again Maria." Jerry said shaking her hand with his free hand.

"And these, are our two kids Alex and Justin." Theresa said pointing at Alex and then at Justin.

"Hi." Alex said shaking Maria's hand

Justin didn't say anything. He has been quiet the whole entire ride. Maria didn't seem to mind though.

"And who might this be?" Maria asked. She was referring to the person Jerry and Justin were carrying. "I knew you had two boys, but I didn't know he was this old." She said. "Oh no, his not one of ours. We have another boy at home, he's the youngest." Jerry explained. "He's one of the reasons that were here." Theresa said and began to tell her the entire story. How Justin passed out and how Alex found the unconscious man.

"Okay, let's go to my office and see what I can do." Maria said after listening attentively.

"What about the other people, don't you need to see them first?" Alex said looking at all the people in the front desk. "I'm technically on a break, so this is pretty much my personal time." Maria said as they began to walk down the hall. "I'm mostly doing this as a favor." She said looking at Theresa. "She is going to owe me big time after this." Maria said smiling while Theresa laughed nervously. The halls were as busy as the front entrance. There were people on stretchers, some with doctors attending them while others were waiting to be attended.

Maria's office had a small bed in the left side of the room, a desk on the right side and a couple of chairs at the opposite side of the door. When they got inside, Maria told them to put him on the bed.

"First of let's take off his clothes." Maria said at Jerry. They had a little bit of trouble because they didn't know how to take it of.

When they finally took of his black cloak, Alex and Theresa gasped and covered their mouth. Jerry and Justin's eyes widened. Maria wasn't affected, she is a doctor after all, she's used to seeing this kind of things.

Under his cloak the man had a white T-shirt with a beautiful crystal and locket around his neck and black pants. They weren't looking at his face that had blood on it, they already saw that earlier. What they were staring at was his right arm. His forearm had a gash that went half way around his forearm. The skin around it was purple with dry blood all over it.

Next, she took of his necklaces and gave them to the nearest person which was Justin. Then she took of his shirt. Everyone except for Maria had to turn their eyes away. His entire torso was bruised badly. By the way he was sweating and breathing she could tell he had a high fever.

"It seems he has a few broken ribs and a severe electrical burn." Maria said with a doctor kind of voice. "He also has a fever most likely because his right arm went untreated for so long."

Maria took a closer look on his arm. "It seems whatever electrocuted him only grazed him." She said putting his arm back down.

"Do you ha-have any idea how he…he got them?" Alex asked a little bit shaky. She has never seen someone that injured in her life, none of them have.

"There could be many reasons for it." Maria said. "He should be fine though, there is nothing fatal." Maria added when she saw the worried looks on their faces.

"You should be able to take him home after I'm done treating him." Maria said, checking his pupils with her small light.

"What?" Jerry asked

"Yes I know, we usually keep our patients for a few days, but we're going to need as much room as possible for the ones that are majorly injured." Maria explained.

"Doesn't this count as a major injury?" Alex said a bit angrily. She couldn't believe Maria; she was making it sound like it was just some small injury.

"After I'm done with him, all that he would need would be rest." Maria said. "Maria we told you, we don't know who he is or where he lives." Jerry said. Jerry was hoping the man could stay in the hospital until he got better.

"I'm sorry, but he can't stay here. You guys are going to have to take him in until he gets back to his feet." Maria said a little bit aggressively.

"Come on dad, he can stay on the couch for a couple of days. It's not going to hurt anybody." Alex said, touching his arm.

"Yeah dad, there's no harm in it." The first words Justin said since he came to the hospital.

Justin has been very quiet this entire time thinking. The moment Justin got inside the car he has been feeling a weird sensation. It was different from the one that made him feel like dying. This feeling felt like it led somewhere, which was weird sense when does a feeling lead somewhere. Another thing that was bothering him was when he touched the man. The instant he touched him to help carry him, he felt like electricity current went through him deep into his core. He has been trying to figure out what was happening to him, but couldn't come up with an answer. He decided to just forget about it for the time being.

"Alright he can stay with us." Jerry said after giving it some thought.

Alex was very excited while Justin looked at he unconscious man with a blank stare.

After a few hours, Maria finally finished treating the man. He had elastic bandages around his right forearm and torso. She moved on to Justin, much to his dismay. At the end, he was in perfect health, all that worrying for nothing.

"If he is fine then why did he collapse the way he did?" Theresa asked, confused.

"There is nothing physically wrong with him." Maria explained as she quickly put her things away. She already over did her break and she need to get back to work. "Listen, I wish I could talk more, but I have to get back." She said walking to the door. "If anything else happens just call me okay, bye" With that she was out the door.

It was around three in the morning by the time they got back home. Jerry and Justin laid the unconscious man on the couch.

"Well kids it's pretty late and we all need a much needed rest." Jerry said going to his room with Theresa following. "Night kids."

"Night." Justin and Alex said.

Justin was about to leave, but then remembered what he had on his pocket. He went over to the sleeping figure. Alex watched as Justin took out a blue crystal and locket in top of the sleeping man's chest.

"Hey Justin, what are those?" Alex asked staring at the pretty crystal and locket. Alex was so distracted by the man's wounds she didn't even noticed them hanging around his neck.

Justin looked at Alex and then at the man. "There his. The doctor took them when she took off his shirt."

Justin looked at Alex. "Shouldn't you go to bed? I thought you had a date with Riley today?"

Alex's eyes went wide with delight. "Oh my god, you're right." Alex said getting excited. "It's our first date with just the two of us." She began to rant of how good they both look together.

"As much as I want to keep listening to this, I'm going to go to bed." Justin said cutting her of and going to his room. "Don't worry Justin I'm sure a nice girl will come along one day and date you as long as she is deaf so she won't have to listen to you go on and on about your dorky equations and dolls." Alex said.

"Action figures!" With that he was gone.

Alex smiled, always enjoying tormenting her brother. She was planning on just going to bed, but her curiosity got the best of her. She went over to the couch and knelt down next to the man. She had to admit, now that there was no blood to distract her, he was pretty cute and good looking. While the doctor was cleaning his wounds, she saw that he took good care of his body. Does muscle were to die for. She was getting pretty warm and she was sure she was blushing.

Alex snap out of it, you already have a boyfriend. Alex thought shaking her head.

She went back to the main reason why she came over here. She looked over at the crystal and locket that was in top of his chest. Alex first held the crystal.

This must have cost a fortune! It's so pretty. Alex thought.

She then picked up the locket. She really wanted to know something about him. Lockets usually had pictures of loved ones so maybe there was picture of him and his family in it. She examined it and then tried to open it. She was having a hard time opening.

It shouldn't be this hard to open a stupid locket. Alex thought, she was starting to get annoyed.

Click

"Finally." She said in a low voice.

Just as she was about to see what was inside it, a hand shot out and grabbed her wrist. Alex's eyes met lifeless brown eyes.
