The Non-existing

Part 1

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

J.R has always considered himself a person who plans everything out to the very last detail, like the very small things. And when the need rises he can think on his feet, if things don't go according to plan. Part of his plan is not to reveal who he really is to the Russos and he is willing to do whatever means necessary to keep his identity a secret. Now when he came to the past he thought of everyway that could possibly give him away, but there was one small detail that he overlooked and he didn't even notice until today. That is why he was caught of guard when he saw Alex coming out of the lair, without her noticing, and stuffing her backpack with the genie lamp.

"Oh, crap." Was the only thing J.R could think at the moment.

That's when his troubles for the day began.

Right after Alex left, J.R made his move.

"Mr. Russo can-" J.R began to say as Jerry came into the kitchen. "J.R, I told you to call me Jerry." He said cutting J.R of.

"Right, sorry…Jerry." He was still trying to get used to calling him by his name.

"Can I take my break now?"

"But we just opened a half an hour ago." Jerry said.

"I know, but something came up. I'll be back before my break ends." He said taking off his apron.

"Alright." As soon as he got permission he quickly walked out of the kitchen.

"Take care of your sister and brothers." He said in a fatherly tone looking at him through the opening in the wall.

J.R looked back at the kitchen from the dining room and raised an eyebrow. It took Jerry a second to realize what he said.

"Sorry, for a second there I though I was talking to one of my kids." Jerry said smiling.

"It's…okay." J.R said softly and smiling a little as he left.

It's been four months since J.R came and the entire family has grown too really like him which surprised him considering how he was. It was as if they started thinking of him as family. It was something they couldn't explain, even though it hasn't been that long. J.R could only think of one reason. Maybe, just maybe deep down, without knowing, they knew who he really was. Just a week ago Alex and Max pulled a prank on Justin AND him.

The funny thing was it was a total accident.

Flashback

It was almost dinner time and Theresa had put Max and Alex in charge of making lemonade.

Bad idea.

Alex was about to trick Max into doing all the work, but then she got an idea.

"Hey Max are you up to pulling a prank on Justin?" Alex asked standing next to him in the kitchen downstairs. "Am I ever not?" He said smiling matching his sister's grinning face. "First finish making the lemonade and then I'll tell you my plan."

After Max was finished Alex told him. "Okay we are going to do what we are suppose to, but Justin's cup is going to have a bit more than just the regular sugar-"

"What kind of sugar is he going to have?" Max quickly said getting excited. "Are we going to give him, sucrose sugar, date palm sugar, or laevulose sugar?"

"Lavu wha?"

"Or are we going to give him raw sugar like demerara, muscovado, turbinado-"

"Stop!" Alex yelled holding her head. "I only meant we're going to put more than the regular sugar amount."

"Oh." Max said finally understanding. Alex sighed and shook her head.

"I'm going to go upstairs and tell mom we're done." Alex said. "Don't forget to put a lot of sugar in Justin's drink." She reminded him as she walked towards the stairs.

"Alright, but first I need to go to the little boy's room." Max said leaving.

Half way up the stairs Alex sighed. 'He'll probably forget by the time he comes back. I just better do it right now.' She thought coming back down.

By the time Max came back Alex was already gone. He put all the cups on a tray and carried it out of the kitchen, but unfortunately for Alex, Max for once actually remembered what he was suppose to do. He came back to the kitchen and put a lot of sugar in a different cup than Alex.

At dinner everyone was sitting and having a nice meal.

"So how was school today?" Theresa asked. "Oh, I got an A on my math test!" Justin said with excitement.

"Big surprise there." Alex said in a dull voice.

"Oh Alex don't be jealous. Maybe someday you'll get an A. I just hope it's before mom and dad become grandparents." Justin said. Alex made a face, mocking him.

"Okay you two cut it out." Theresa said.

After a few minutes Alex saw Justin getting thirsty. She nudged Max who was sitting next to her. "This is going to be good." Alex whispered pointing to Justin. Max smiled. "Yeah I know it's a good thing I remembered to put sugar in his drink."

"Wait, you actually remembered?!" She said amazed.

"Yeah, why?"

"I filled his drink with sugar!" Alex said now panicking. "Then that means there are two drinks with a lot of sugar!" Max said.

"But if Justin has one then who has the other one?" They both began to panic. If either of their parents drank it, they were going to be in trouble.

They saw as Justin began to drink, but failed to notice that J.R, the person sitting across from Justin, also began to drink.

Even though they were panicking about the other drink they couldn't help, but grin at Justin's soon to be reaction.

Just as expected Justin's eyes bugged out and spitted his drink. However, they weren't ready for what happened next.

Justin and J.R ended up spitting their drinks all over each other's faces.

Jerry and Theresa had their mouth's hanging opened while Max and Alex had horrified faces.

Justin had a pretty good idea of who did this and he would've been yelling at Alex if he hadn't just spat his drink on J.R's face.

J.R slowly wiped his expressionless face with his hand. Everyone watched as J.R covered his mouth.

After a few moments they heard something weird. Was he…laughing? It wasn't one of those big out of control ones, but a small laugh.

Now that shocked them. J.R the guy that barely showed a smile from time to time was actually laughing.

Justin didn't know why, but he found this funny. Slowly a smile broke out on his face and pretty soon started to laugh. Alex began to laugh because she was happy J.R was acting more normal and because it was hilarious seeing what just happened. Max was just laughing because he always enjoys a good prank. Soon Theresa and Jerry followed.

They didn't voice it, but they all knew that was the moment that they completely felt comfortable with J.R and accepted him.

Flashback

J.R remembered why he started to laughed instead of getting angry. For the first time in a very long time, he felt like he was home again. He also started to notice how this whole thing has been affecting him. The more time he spent here with his family the more he began to revert back to his old self, but in a very small ways and at a slow pace. Not major changes, he just smiled little bit more and tried not to sound so...cold. That last part was going to take a while. After Alex died he didn't think he would ever be the same again. That's why these changes were surprising him.

As J.R walked to his old high school he couldn't decide if these changes were a good thing or a bad thing.

J.R made it to the school and saw people walking in the halls, meaning they were on a break. Now he had to be cautious because he doubted the teachers were going to allow a twenty-eight year old guy walk around the campus without a pass. J.R walked to a secluded area outside the school. He looked around making sure no one was watching him and snapped his fingers.

Blue light surrounded him and before you knew it, he looked exactly like his younger self.

Now that he could walk freely in the halls, he could take in his surroundings. It has been such a long time since he has been here and yet he still remembered every square foot of this place. He shook his head and started looking for Alex remembering the reason he was here.

"Hey Justin!" a person called him. J.R looked around and saw Zeke coming towards him. Zeke greeted him with the alien hand signal thing. J.R remembered he had to act like his old self and tried his best to imitate him.

"Hey Zeke!" J.R said smiling hoping he wasn't over doing it.

"Wasn't yesterday's math test easy or what." Zeke said like his usual hyped self.

"Yeah it was." J.R tried to play along.

"Totally, I mean how could it not, Quantum Physics is easy." Zeke said.

After that he kept going on about the test and the problems it had. For J.R it was surprisingly hard to act like how he used to be. He knew all the academic things Zeke was talking about, but the hard part was to talk like…like he used to, a person that had a lot of enthusiasm for his school work and learning. It seemed his act was slipping because Zeke notice something wasn't right.

"Justin, are you feeling alright?" Zeke asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"I don't know what, but there is something different about you." J.R needed to think of something fast.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just haven't been feeling well lately?" J.R explained.

Zeke didn't look convinced so he decided to change the topic.

"Have you seen Alex anywhere? I need to talk to her." J.R said. "No, I haven't." Zeke said still looking suspiciously at 'Justin'.

"Well, tell me if you see her alright." J.R quickly said as he walked away.

"Yeah." He said as he watched J.R's retreating form.

J.R quickly walked through the halls and went inside the bathroom. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. He looked exactly like Justin, his hair, his face, his nose his mouth, everything! And yet, Zeke could tell something wasn't right. Maybe it was because his attitude was forced. That was one thing he could never learned to do no matter how hard he tried. Being able to act. Alex was the one who could act and fool anyone. He better find Alex soon and get out of here.

J.R was about to leave when he heard people coming. That didn't bother him, but the fact that the people that were coming were giggling did. Maybe he didn't remember the school as much as he thought he did.

He made a dash for the stalls.

Three girls came in laughing. They started talking while they checked their make up.

"Did you see that outfit she wore today?" The girl with red hair said. "I know! Talk about yuck!" The blond said. They all started to laugh.

J.R, who was standing/crouching in top of the toilet, rolled his eyes. He couldn't believe his was stuck here. It wouldn't be long before Alex made her wish.

"Do you think my hair looks good?"

"Yeah, it looks great."

"You know, I been thinking of dyeing my hair."

"Did you see Jake today? He was totally checking me out!"

"I think I'm going to straighten my hair."

"No don't do that. I heard he likes girls with curly hair."

J.R didn't know how long he was going to have to wait and listen to this. Hopefully they will leave soon.

20 minutes later…

J.R couldn't take anymore! He was ready to smash his head against the wall! After talking about their hair and how to wear it, they began talking about boys, make up, and clothes. They practically talked about everything girls could possibly talk about. What else could they possibly talk about?

"You know what sucks? I'm starting to feel my cramps."

J.R eye began to twitch.

"Enough is enough!" J.R thought. He stood up ready to use magic to get the hell out of here. There was no way in hell he was going to stay and hear the conversation that was going to follow that. He thought he could wait them out, but this was just unbearable! J.R began to stand up, but forgot his legs were asleep and slipped off the toilet.

SLAM!

The door flew open and J.R landed face first on the floor. The next thing J.R heard were three loud screams.

Damn.

He looked up and saw three very unhappy girls. J.R did the only possible thing a guy in his position would do…he ran.

J.R looked behind him and saw the three girls were hot on his tail. After a few turns he looked back and saw that the girls were nowhere in sight. He turned his face just in time to bump into a teacher carrying a giant stack of papers. The papers went flying everywhere. J.R regained his balance and made a right turn in the corner of the hall and hid behind the wall. He stayed there for a few seconds trying to hear if they were still chasing him. So far all he heard was the usual chatter that filled the halls. He sighed in relief thinking he lost them.

J.R stuck out his head just to check and see if he lost for good.

Wrong move.

"There he is!" The brunette of the group yelled.

Double damn.

He took off again. As he ran he tried to think how to lose these girls, it shouldn't be so hard compare to the things he has ran away from before.

Maybe he could tire them out.

10 minutes later…

Alright, dealing with creatures from darkness was tough, but who knew running away from crazed teenage girls was harder. J.R has practically run all over the school and they didn't seem to be tired at all! How could girls that hated sweating and P.E have so much stamina? This was just plain ridicules! First, Alex and Gigi at the mall and now these girls. Seriously they should all just join the track team. And to top all off, they were now throwing books at him.

Where the hell were they getting all these books from anyway?! He thought.

Speaking of books…incoming!

J.R ducked his head just in time dodge it, but the guy with glasses that was opening his locker wasn't so fortunate. It hit him right on the face.

These girls were really starting to annoy J.R. Class was about to start pretty soon and if memory serves, Alex made her wish right before her class with Mr. Laritate.

*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*

"Alex, where are you going? Class is about to start soon." Harper said.

"Don't worry. I'll meet you in class." Alex said as she walked away.

"How many times have I heard that before?" Harper murmured taking a book from her locker. Right as she turned around to leave someone rushed passed her almost knocking her down.

"Was that Jus-" She started after regaining her footing.

"Watch it Finkle!" The blond girl said as she bumped into Harper. "I'll take that." The red head said taking the book Harper was carrying.

"Hey, that's mine!" Harper yelled as she watched them go.

*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*

J.R had enough of this! He has faced way more strong and powerful people before. Why was he running? A flying book made contact with the back of his head...hard.

Oh, that's right, he couldn't fight back.

As he made another turn he saw a way out of this. The janitor was mopping the floor and had his back turned to him. J.R looked at the bucket on the ground and his eyes flashed blue for a second. As he ran passed it, the bucket was surrounded with blue light and fell, spilling water all over the floor.

A few seconds later he heard the girls scream as they fell.

"Finally!" J.R thought as he ran outside through the doors.

J.R lay against the wall as he took a breather. He had to find another way inside the school. If he went back through the way he came from he would have to face the girls again.

"I wish everyone would stop comparing me to Justin."

J.R heard Alex's voice from a window not far away. He ran to the window and was not happy with what he saw.

The genie granted Alex her wish.

Triple damn.

First off, no offense to the girls reading. Like any other guy out there, I have no clue what goes on in a girl's mind. Specially, when they are in the bathroom. So please...don't hate me.

Second, a review would be nice.
