The Elvenking and his wife devise a way to keep Legolas safe. Oddly enough, pillows work just as well for fully-grown elves as for elflings. It was unusual circumstance that I suddenly found myself amidst the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. They didn't trust me at first. I was a human after all, and a woman besides, with few useful skills to offer. Yet I could not deny the benefits of their protection as I journeyed home to Esgaroth and so strove to remain in their favour...I never expected to fall in love along the way.

Through luck or chance, Gandalf ensures that the Dwarves Quest for Erebor is joined by more than just a certain respectable Hobbit. How this will change the outcome to retake the Lonely Mountain, or the overall fate of Middle Earth is more uncertain.

Rurín only has a pendant that belonged to her father, when she went looking for answers, Lord Elrond directed her to the Blue Mountains where she met the Gaurd Dwalín. He was hard to tolerate at first but as time passed, Rurín was falling in love with him. Dwalín couldn't stand her at first but as time passed, he was more than willing to break bones for her, she only need ask.
