For TaintedTamer: Wheeljack/Bluestreak/Last Kiss

The sounding of the klaxons was unexpected and nearly deafening, and they made Wheeljack jump a little in startlement. The call to battle stations followed immediately afterward, and the engineer swore—so it wasn't just a drill. It wasn't really a surprise when Bluestreak ran in, expression grim, rifle clutched tightly in his hands.

"Ultra Magnus has issued the call to arms," the gunner said unnecessarily, and Wheeljack nodded even as he settled his rocket launcher onto his shoulder and fastened it into its mounts. "I've heard that Megatron is with them, and he's got all his heavy hitters," the grey mech continued, moving closer and setting aside his rifle to help steady his bondmate's launcher when the engineer fumbled and cursed in his haste to get it secured.

"Thanks," Wheeljack said softly, meeting Bluestreak's steady gaze with his own as the pair of them finished attaching the weapon to his shoulder, and the gunner nodded.

"You're welcome." He paused for a moment, then, before either of them could turn to dash for his post, added quietly, "Stay safe out there, okay? I've got a bad feeling about this…"

Wheeljack smiled behind his facemask, optics bright and reassuring. "Sure thing, Blue. You take care of yourself, too, all right? We'll both be fine, and we'll send those 'Cons running with their tails between their legs." On impulse, he removed his mask for just a moment, letting Bluestreak see his smile, and pressed forward for a warm, gentle kiss before stepping back and replacing the curved plate that hid the lower half of his face.

Bluestreak melted into the kiss, but didn't resist when the engineer pulled away, though he smiled at the older mech trustingly as he turned to fetch his weapon. "I'll see you after the battle?" the gunner asked shyly, as they both prepared to go their separate ways.

Wheeljack gave him a cocky grin, vocal indicators flashing. "You know it. Love you, Blue."

"Love you, 'Jack."

Then they both took off, running in opposite directions.
